I have a hard time believing the above comment at this time, SwC hasn't even checked this page for over a year. This is a bad sign. regardless email response times are averaging 3 days MINIUM this is even for the most sensitive topics pertaining to operational security. These are the facts, and this is a sad time in what should/could have been a great company. This pains me greatly to say.
-snip-
They really answered me after 24 hours and gave me a hint that I used a false e-mail address. So the problem was not really hard to solve. Maybe that’s why I got an answer so quickly. But that’s all I can say about SwC. Had not used the site for almost 1 3/4 years.  Smiley

New owners indeed - I guess all of the speculations by some people from a long time ago... were correct. Wink

I am still playing on SwC occasionally and do not have serious issues - what bothers me is the fact that even the "new" people would not get it when I am telling them that several bitcointalk users still miss their prizes from our poker series, year(s) ago...
Oh, I didn't know, some are still waiting for their prizes?!? I didn't expect anything like this. That’s really not pretty. Thought SwC would be more reliable.  Roll Eyes

I do have to be 100% fair in this situation and say, I am surprised they on one hand haven't stripped me of my aff. status. They have paid me with no issues just like SwC always has. But this is not SwC, this is swc. One of the admins is completely incompetent, and nonaccountable. He fucked me. This leads to the top. There is a lot of things not proper, it appears thought process of simple logic, customer service, opsec, and integrity of the overall operation have been compromised, at the highest level down. I mean if you cant send an email within the week on average, we are in for some trouble boys. Then add in the fact that, They (Ds.dipshit) (upsalad tiedye company ) <ignore that, had what appeared to me in one simple, yet major breach in opec. This is simple . First new company had 0 clue that i was authorized form top down to make every move that i made. What does that tell me? well it tells more than many series of words are gunna be able to say. But one would think, b2b affiliate marketing, as well as multiple successful operations not limited to customer support, even account recovery, and additional layers of protection, would not be given up. Surely you wouldn't piss off the guy you don't trust, with your verified authorized , and documented social media, for 3 days dark, then 12. he could have attempted to and likely done damage. in most any area, swc is far below true SwC standards and foundations.

Light one off for one of the true greats, in what was and will never be, again. SwCpoker. We loved you, you were pioneers, you lead the way, in true evolutionary industry leading standards and operations! We will take it from here. Much love. Your legacy doesn't die with swc... it will forever be remembered as The True Authority in what was SwCpoker. The name simply stood, alone.

Join me in this celebration of what WILL be remember.

Lets take this opportunity to recognize true integrity accountability, unlikely hands to ever be extended again.

"After being offline for over a week, the bitcoin only site Seals With Clubs has announced that it will not be restarting—a notice on the website provides an explanation citing security concerns.

The notice warns payers that they have a “limited period of time” to withdraw their funds.

The management announced that the technical problems of February 11 which took the site offline consisted of “several events … related to operational security that we consider to indicate SealsWithClubs now operates in a perpetual state of jeopardy.”

“We do not believe any of our Bitcoin wallets used in operations to be compromised or lost. However, this event has made the majority vote of the ownership and team agree that shutting down operations is the best move for safety and security purposes,” continued the statement.

SWV Chairman Bryan Micon, who has been involved with the SWC project for the longest of all the management team, plans to continue his commitment to bitcoin poker from Antigua.

The newly developed software version 2.0, which was planned to be released at the end of March, will form the basis of his plans to relaunch the SWC poker room under the new domain, swcpoker.eu.

The management statement says that they believe “Micon will have the resources at his disposal to bring the new site up, backed by the new SwC 2.0 software package, at a rapid pace.”

The existing software in which the technical and security issues reside, will be retired completely. "

You could see this in this thread, a few pages earlier... they owe me two hats! Smiley

But new managers, new rules, or whatever... SwC is not the place as used to be! Instead to grow I have a feeling they are going down, and from what I am reading now their way to the bottom continues. I didn't visit SwC for a while, and I am not sure I will... maybe if I see some changes, but what are the chances for that?

I really didn’t expect anything like this. Too bad they didn’t pay the prizes. I’m really sorry for you. That doesn’t cast a good light on the side. I have not used swc for a long time. Just a short time ago I logged in again. There wasn’t much going on and I didn’t play either. Didn’t find a table that’s occupied. It’s a pity that so much has changed.  Cry

Lol, I thought that SwC is already dead. Last time I was there (it was around 1 year ago) there were nearly empty cash tables 0.005/0.0025 and higher. This means poker room is dying, without good cash tables it can't last long.

Maybe I'll login to see what changed.

I would like to out line a few topics here very briefly. 3 to be exact..

1. The current decedent administration of what is now 'swc' poker, aligns nothing with the values, nor values their superior, former administration's effort of care that was taken
each step building this brand.  It is clear that, there is no actual 2 brain cells anywhere to even so much as brush upon each other anywhere amongst this De-organization anti-administration. There is no afterthought of fore site in linage or foundation that was once so highly coveted by the previous superior org.

The second  thing i outline

Admin a bitch

3rd

Admin aint shit.

oh and i display lack of care by outlining a fourth outline Similar to Anti-admin in this next outliner.

Admin pounds ass

What ever happened to glitch anyway? He was always so shady, almost bragging about his anonymity at times. Always talked shit about players behind their backs. Played dumb despite probably being closely tied to ownership of the site.
I have some logs that may be useful in the future for a post mortem of the website.

The experience I got from several friends who use applications for windows, they never complained about problems regarding security or viruses, so I thought it seemed safe and there was no need to worry about security.
What's more, Poker Bitcoin also has a fairly good level of trust among gamblers.
There is nothing wrong if you want to try or even use it.
But still have to be careful and hopefully always get good luck.

I will try to download the windows version because maybe it will be better than using a browser, some of my other friends also recommended and said the same thing about bitcoin poker, glad to hear about your friend's experience, I will try it later  Wink

I only used the mac version and aside minor bugs that happen frequently I don't have any issues with it.
Don't know if the windows version is the same but I guess it should be.

It's definitely safe to download I would say.

I'm using Win version for years now (don't play regularly though) and don't recall ever having any issues with it.
That being said, I don't play in the browser at all, so can't really compare those two. Cost nothing to try for yourself I guess.

Hi, is it possible to view the stacks (when sitting down, cash games) in BB?

Not if using the browser version of poker software ( it's the only one I tried), it wold be useful feature by the way.

Definitely, it's not possible in the browser version, I am playing some cash games these days with some forgotten sats. I also think it's a useful feature, especially for tournaments.

A few months ago I reinstalled windows and since then I don't have the SwC app, but I used it for years before that without any problems. And I think the app is better than the website...

I will try to download the windows version because maybe it will be better than using a browser, some of my other friends also recommended and said the same thing about bitcoin poker, glad to hear about your friend's experience, I will try it later  Wink

I'm using Win version for years now (don't play regularly though) and don't recall ever having any issues with it.
That being said, I don't play in the browser at all, so can't really compare those two. Cost nothing to try for yourself I guess.
I have installed it so I plan to play poker using the win application it seems interesting without having to use a browser, at least to add a new experience in playing poker using the application

A few months ago I reinstalled windows and since then I don't have the SwC app, but I used it for years before that without any problems. And I think the app is better than the website...
great, I'm glad to hear about your experience using the app for windows, I've installed it now, cheers  Wink

You have been playing on SwC lately? Memories my man... I need to check my account as well! Honestly, a series would be too much and I still hate the fact that the new management is probably even worse than the old one when it comes to communication and stuff... Still, maybe we could have some MEMORIAL tournament with the oldschoolers some day. Wink

I miss his live footages he used to take in his "office" that defining messy is an understatement : I remember seeing in one live chat the same Pringle can on his desk that was already there in his previous video the month before  Grin Grin Grin

Is anyone here using an application for windows, maybe it would be nice to share your experience here, I want to use it but I'm afraid it's not really safe even though I know bitcoin poker has been trusted for a long time but I need to get information from friends too  Wink
Alright and indeed Bitcoin poker has a platform that is quite liked by gamblers and you don't need to worry about security or comfort when playing there.
Whatever your decision, always do your research first and try to start your first deposit and game with the minimum amount possible so you can try without any worries of losing a sizable amount of money.
Have a nice day and luck is always on your side my friend.
