Most of the time I will store the crypto in a different wallet, as this will effectively prevent the loss of all crypto at the same time.

I think that holding multiple altcoins is useless, because many of them can be scam. I prefer to hold just some of them, for example 5-7 different coins.

I haven't used Hodler, I use Imtoken and MEW most of the time, I think it's enough to save my crypto, and the trading platform is also suitable for crypto.

Many of us prefer to hold multiple kind of coins. What do you prefer: holding it in a sigle kind of wallet or have it on a different kind of wallet?

Personally, I prefer to store in an opensource multi wallet that support all my preferred coin and even ERC20 token, its the only opensource multiwallet available called Hodler and so far I find it good. Do you think, this is really good idea?
I prefer a wallet that supports all the coins I hodl ,I don’t want to be switching from one wallet to another all the time. That’s why I like wallets like Exodus wallet ,it supports a lot of coins and there is this other wallet I got newly that is owned by Binance, name of the wallet is Trust and it supports Erc20 tokens and more other coins .but I don’t like to hodl too much coins though, cause it’s not worth it.

Ill have some different kinds of altcoins now and some of them are in different wallets.
And ill prefer to save them into ERC20 because this wallet was safe, than to other wallet but we need to be careful always because they have some name of it maybe if we open it some of our altcoins will be gone.
Im also using MEW before but it could not hold bitcoins and altcoins. Fortunately, I found a wallet that cold hold all my preferred coins. Its called Hodler wallet which offer same security as MEW. So far, I see nothing bad aboit it, still eyeing on the development of this wallet. They actually be introducing hardware wallet.

How much does HODLER wallet take as a fee per transaction?

I'm really not aware about the project being used by a lot of us here which is why I may not really trust a wallet like this. I'm more confident in using MEW so if you are a holder, you still can use the good old wallet. I prefer using this one which of course can hold all ERC tokens.

It supports segwit addressE's which means it has lower transaction fee. Its not that well known right now since its just a new project. They will be listed on Bitcoin.org which means it will even more gain popularity Abd trust from the community. You can check out their telegram to read more about them.

Now is only the time that I read about what you called opensource multi wallet, Does that mean you have the private keys of your wallet? or somehow have a total control of your funds??

I like to keep all altcoins in a multi wallet. easier to use to send altcoins. but it is very vulnerable if we save it in multiple wallets, we must be careful about keeping the private key. even if necessary, buy Trezor to be safer.

I am sure every trader holds more than one type of coin, and indeed I also like to store in multi wallets like Kcash, and I am also comfortable all this time, provided we don't lose the seed, surely everything is fine.

If you the think it is more safe and secured then probably that's a good idea. But for me, I prefered one wallet for every crypto coins so that in case my wallet is being compromised, at least not all coins will be gone. And I feel comfortable to used it because I believed it is a good kind of way.

I do like to keep multiple coin in my wallet. and to do that i chose to split them into several different wallet, but not too many wallet, cause it could expense more fee if i use too much wallet to keep all the coins that i had.

Agree, to much wallet will cost more fee. That is why it might ne a better choice to have one of a kind wallet which offers security  that could hold most of our preferred coin. Luckily, until now while using Hodler I feel no worry and it great so far.

I also like holding multiple coins, because every price movement from each coins are diffrent, there are very fluktuative and there is also a relatively stable but from there i take profit in trading. And to save these coins, I just rely on MEW, I have never tried another wallet but so far MEW has no problem for me.

I do not think that holding many different altcoins is one good thing. Because that will distract us very much in deciding to sell or hold.
I think the best strategy is to only hold 3 altcoins, I understand it the most. We will know what to do when its price is low or its price is inflated.

holding various types of altcoins seems like a step that has a very high risk because the price of an unstable and full of altcoin prices will keep you stuck at a high price, but if you have the courage to enter and hold various altcoins as it would benefit long-term later when altcoin prices can rise to be expensive again.

If people hold the best of the altcoins after their research and find that in coming months it has  huge scope and its demand will eventually pick u in coming months that coin could lead to be a great coin and will help you to make money from it.

I will not save a lot of coins, I prefer to store 2 types of coins that have high selling values such as BTC, ETH.
I saved both coins because the altcoin value depends on the BTC value. so saving the best coins is safer.

it doesnt cost anything to store a coin into a wallet but it does a fee when you send a  coin into your another wallet howeer the fee is not that big becuase you are using an altcoin not bitcoin . why did you need alot of wallet to hodl multiple alts where you can  use one wallet to hold them all ?  in that you way you will not worry about the transferring fees . you can also use hardware wallets  if you are really conscious about your security  .

holding multiple altcoins isnt bad at all but it is also beneficial because you minimize the risk of loosing and the same time you also maximize your potential income as long as you choose the best alts on the market .

You can try MyCrypto. This is a desktop wallet which is made by the same team as MEW. It is more comfortable
