Its fair to assume this house was not everything he owned.  It was inheritance so some unexpected fortune he used to speculate as he already had a living and accommodation elsewhere.  Its a risky bet but slightly less extreme then selling out something you were using.   House prices could still fall from here, bitcoin could still go up we'll have to see which was best.   I wouldnt have done it either but Im not thinking he was in 100% on this

So then the statement "I'm All In" was a lie?

Guys, I'm doing fine.

It's been a cold winter but knowing that soon each Bitcoin will be $10k each keeps me going during the dark times...

lol i hope this isn't the OP.

Perhaps this thread will be a legendary thread in the future should Bitcoin continue to rocket up after this down trend.

^^ I think he will be able to get his money back, make a profit is another thing because we can always rise and fall again.   Its going to continue to be a rocky road I reckon

Quote
The guy is either now renting or on the streets. I feel for his family if he indeed is homeless.

He inherited the house, I dont think he was living there even so it was surplus.  Hence the sale, putting all proceeds into bitcoin is another matter of how wise but the sale itself was a gamble of his surplus it seems

Capitulation happens when only the sincere activists and those who truly understand bitcoin are left. This guy did a great service to bitcoin with publicity, and will have earned his profit if he holds till the next rush.

Could anyone post the exact btc price at the day that OP claims he have sold his house for btc? So we can compare and monitor it.

The only online casino on which i won something. I made 17mBTC from 1mBTC in like 15 minutes.  This is not paid AD!

Identifying innovation this late and investing along with the rest of the hoard isn't brilliant, you deserve to lose everything.

He said he was all-in but he actually "only" sold his house, he is probably not working on a Bitcoin company and he may have a few other assets or savings.

No, I won't. If some fool gets lucky (he won't, the train has left the station, you had your chance when it was 1200$), then it doesn't mean I am idiot.

This guy made the biggest mistake of his life. Investing all in a stupid asset (unstable, volatile, unproven, speculative) and deserves to lose it all and lose his friends and life for this stupidity and greed.

Buying Bitcoin with your toy money, just to play around and gamble is normal.

Buying it as serious investment or going all in is pinnacle of idiocy and greed.

Enjoy losing your skins, dumb sheeple.

Go spread your poison how great Bitcoin is.

Don't have the guts anymore, since it has fallen to pretty much nothing?

What's with all the haters? Probably people who missed the boat when bitcoin was still at $20. And who don't understand bitcoin, to boot.

Or, does one of yiu suggesting suicide care to prove that you have a solid understandin of the technology of bitcoin and its implications for the global economy? That's a challenge.

What about the people who buy bitcoin because they don't want banks owned by the 0.01% elite destroying the lives of working people with their hard earned savings?

I can't believe the level of ignorance and hating on this thread. The shame is on you uninformed, amoral critics. Greed is still better than the combination of fear and greed you are spouting.

Take off your tinfoil hat mister. At least money in bank can't be hacked in instant and doesn't vanish in thin air like your precious Bitcoins did.

Admit you were a fool and didn't listen to those smarter than you.

Charlie Munger said it was rat poison.

Warren Buffett said it will not be in 10 years around anymore.

Many smart people in this section told to sell and cut losses.

Greedy fools didn't listen, now joke of town, ostracised, hated and being laughed at.

Like that fate? Can't change it now, your ship has sailed. You had your chance to sell at peak of bubble, too bad you were an idiot and didn't listen.

Greedy fools need to get their hands burned...holders lol, holders of shit

Where are you now bitcoin fang**s?  Grin

Jokes aside, i feel very sorry for people with similar situations. Man selling your lifes work and put all-in for an internet pump&dump scam? What a huge risk.

If we were back in 2011 or 2010 when the btc was 1 to 10$, even at that time buying 100$ worth of btc would not make some sense but it is fckn 100$ to lose at least. But losing at least 100.000$ is... oh god.

Why feel sorry for a greedy loser?

He was greedy and dumb and now pays the ultimate price.

Greedy dumb fucks don't deserve happiness, only pain and misery.

Like all the rotten fool holders out there, holding melting piece of shit in their hands.
