We already know that it was not a shrewd investment. Even if btc goes to $100k tomorrow, then he should have sold the house for $ and purchased btc today. Then he would achieve a return more than 3 times greater than what he would actually get.

It is hard to buy at rock bottom and sell at the all time high, if you buy early and do x100 it is considered a good investment.

and that is why it is called rock bottom, because price hardly could move once it hit rock bottom anyway, anyway bitcoin could be worthless by tomorrow, so we never know

We will know if it was 'rock bottom' when we will have go up significantly in price and for a long period of time.

True but how was he to know of the price drop? If bitcoin goes up to anywhere near it's projected,  he'll be happy he bought at the price he did.

>If bitcoin goes up to anywhere near it's [sic] projected

Projected by bagholders pimping their bags?  Those projections proved to be a touch optimistic.  Or did you mean $0?

Is the OP still alive?
he is currently living on the streets like a bum with no house and just a piece of paper with his private keys on it. and with the hope that the price will skyrocket!

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

If you couldn't have projected where we were heading by mid-January 2014, you were simply another of the Sirens' shipwrecks.

If OP had enough patience he could easily at least get his money back, and if he isnt scared to hold beyond that to double it.

I hope the speculation (let's face it, it wasn't an investment) pays off for the OP so that he at least gets his money back.  Otherwise it's like Jack trading a valuable cow for a bunch of beans.  Except in this story the beans are sterile and there's no magic sky giant with loads of gold.
