I will choose gold as I am a non risk taker and I believe in stable profits so I think gold can help me in long run, I don't want to risk my money by investing into bitcoins.

I would choose bitcoin simply because , having full control on whenever to use it , how to handle it and can monitor it on a regular basis without help of anybody else and the fact that I do travel alot from few countries.

I feel like gold and silver will work in more places. If you need the services of a tech/software guy you probably will want bitcoin, for nigh everyone else I think Gold and Silver are better. I also agree that moving capital from one area to another, Bitcoin is better. If you are staying put, gold and silver. Both have their uses.

I would choose gold as it is easy for other people to notice that you can buy anything with it even if you are in a 3rd world country.
But in bitcoin still a lot of people dont know about it and its hardly recognized.

i will always choose both not only one to put all my money in.
i choose bitcoin because it has the potential of growing big and becoming the worlds currency and giving me a good profit with the big price rise

but also i choose gold because it is much more stable than bitcoin and i can save money that way and be sure that it will keep its value.
yeah the potential and the possibility of bitcoin to become popular currency is very large. the dream is likely to materialize therefore you must purchase bitcoin.
Gold has stable market prices. if you want to invest that have a small risk you can try to invest in gold

Gold started at 1040 USD and today it's around  1240
Bitcon started at 400 dollar this year and today it's around 407

For me gold is not only better but also a more stable asset.
Yes people involving in bitcoin with main reason to get more money from it.
Everybody are blinded with previous success and expecting more rapid rise..
Gold is more secure and stable, and there is no chance to lose on value!
And if dropping in price you know this is just a shakeout.

Yes gold is the most trusted product worldwide and bitcoin is unstable and difficult to trust as anything is possible with its price, who wants to make safe investment will always choose gold.

Most of the hedge fund managers and investment experts will advise you to put 80% to 90% of your savings in low-risk assets (such as gold, platinum, United States treasury bonds.etc). But they suggest that you can invest some 10% to 20% of your savings in various high-risk assets, such as Bitcoin and the HYIPs. There is no harm in investing a little bit in BTC.  Grin

if you never dare to take a risk you're going to be at that level. you're not going to rise to the richer. you must get out of your comfort zone. and tries to greater risks. certainly profit will be higher and accelerate your getting rich
you can try bitcoin

I see here great problem, people don't distinguish investment from value.
All values today are presented in old and some other assets , so GOLD is value stores like silver and other precious metals.
Bitcoin is money, and many invest in bitcoin expecting rise because they believe it is worth more then gold..This is so wrong. Price rise will eventually stop.
And bitcoin will be used as money and will be stable, or it is doomed.
Gold is already proven and everything about gold is already said!

For me diversifying is a standard thing to do. It would make no sense to go all in when you deal with money.
Gold seems to be a stable asset so yes i buy gold.
But bitcoin is the asset with the most potential so obviously i would invest around 25% also in bitcoin.

The rest would go to savings /low risk bonds.

Bitcoin will never be used as a form of money. It will be used as an investment asset. Because, it is more similar to gold and other forms of bullion than the fiat currency. Bitcoin is protected against inflation, due to the controlled supply principle. As a result of this, the value of Bitcoin will increase as time progresses. Who will trade Bitcoins for commodities, if he knows that the value of the Bitcoin is going to increase in the near future?

That is the right thing to do, invest in multiple products that will reduce risk, and if one product fails we still have hope from the other one that it will help us in recovering losses.

Sell your fiat cash to buy gold. And then sell your fiat cash again to buy Bitcoin. Invest in both gold and bitcoin. In this way, you can lower your risk as well.

Yes investing in both of them is the best thing to do, as I think both can give us some good returns in future and if you can afford to invest then you should go for both.

Looking at the history of both I would choose to invest in gold as I don't want to experiment with my money and my investments, I will play safe and invest into gold.
for history bitcoin was 7 years old then their historynya still very short mate. gold certainly has a better history because they are thousands of years old. we must look at its potential
But if a person is of the view to start a long term trade then he only will opt for gold while in trading with bitcoin you will not need to give some extra time to earn with that because of its price fluctuation.
