I am gonna choose gold now, but i am sure that i will change my mind after halving but if price will not increase high nothing will change.
before halving or after halving I would still choose bitcoin. because I love these commodities and currencies. If you already love him you would believe the bitcoin and its future i believe bitcoin , i beleive bitcoin can survive for long time, but i can't put all money at bitcoin, i save my money at some place, bitcoin , etherum, XVG, fiat etc. of course we must believe bitcoin, but you can risking your life just for invest your money at bitcoin. Invest in multiple products to earn good in future, as we don't know which product will perform better in future, if one fails the other will take care of our investments. I agree with you guys, if you invest in multiple investments or products the higher chance of earning bigger but you need to consider that if you can really manage multiple investments but if not you are just wasting your money and time. But if you can then you are going to be have more positive outcome. You need to research well before investing in any product, as I don't have faith in online investments at this stage but investing in gold and bitcoin can help us in long run. a lot people here just yolo "invest" hoping to see the price reach very high price levels in a very short time. they probably don't even know the definition of doing research before investing. these people mostly end up with disappointment after another disappointment. |

You can't go wrong by going yolo on Bitcoin, if you go long term. The problem is, a lot of idiots hear about Bitcoin and they want to become rich overnight, so they buy a lot of Bitcoin, the price goes 30 dollars down, and they panic sell.
Well, what I can say, those people don't deserve to become rich from Bitcoin.

but you can't deny the value that gold has and buying old in form of jewelry and things like that is kind of an investment also.

I would like to hold gold, because it is less volatile than bitcoin.
In my country India gold and btc are hovering near same price INR 30000.
gold 30000/10gm . both needs same investment now but have different futures.

By the way humans had been using horses as a primary form of transportation for millennia, yet in a period of 50 years between 1900 and 1950 they virtually vanished form the transportation scene. Will Bitcoin do the same to gold? its better to use the gold so i dont know why you want to say that its better to use the bitcoin. Ok sometimes its better to use the coin because hes new and there are people who must know about it. But what do you think of only bitcoins in the future i dont think that is going to work for everyone. |

BOTH have been relatively "boring" lately, with gold probably down a bit more percentage. Obviously gold, cannot afford to trust bitcoin in long run.
I constantly switch between thinking Bitcoin is the speculation of a lifetime (which it may be), and the thought that the BTC Overlords (or .gov) may screw it up. If the latter, gold beckons... BOTH seems to be the best bet: half security, half a great Lotto ticket. |

I think you are doing just right and you will not regret it. I know it's hard for most people to grasp the idea that something which is not even physical can be more valuable than gold but if they only try they would be in profit. Well if that's your belief then we can't destroy it. And also there is a point that people see physically is much more reliable for investment. And gold is been in the market for many centuries until today. People have more faith in something that they can hold or touch physically, and gold allows them to do that, bitcoin cannot be feel or touched and that is reason people don't trust it. |
