The match has been delayed for a day but if fawad has covid-19, its means other players are at risk too. Let hope this does not effect the whole PSL 

Are these players in a bubble and how come someone could get infected in the middle of a tournament, it is really unfortunate if it spreads to the entire team and if that is the situation they will be forced to move the tournament at a later date. Not sure how the PCB is trying to sort the issue, they might make the bubble even stricter to avoid these situation which could hurt them financially.

The players are not taking the precautions seriously. PCB did it's best to set up the bio-secure bubbles, but what they can do if the players don't heed to their advice and roam around? Two weeks ago it was found that Wahab Riaz and Darren Sammy of Peshawar Zalmi had met someone outside the bubble. PCB asked these two to go for a three-day quarantine. But Wahab refused to undergo quarantine and he was included in the next match for Zalmi.

Maybe they have to monitor the movement of the players and also restrict them. Very often we see players who visit to nay country, go out in the markets for shopping and dinning. In these covid-19 days, such activities should be completely prohibited to avoid any risk of covid-19 infection.

If the players go out for shopping, then what is the point in setting up all these bio-secure bubbles? According to the protocol, the players can't meet anyone outside the bubble as long as the tournament is ongoing. If they disregard this protocol and meet outsiders, then they are not only putting themselves and the teammates in danger, but also causing millions of USD worth of potential damages to the TV broadcasters and the sponsors.

After a missive hit (the last IPL), here we are again!
In the last IPL the prize pot was 0.09525399 BTC which was $1,698.77 at the time when I sent the prize to the winners. BTC is skyrocketing and in today's price  0.09525399 BTC is more or less $4,654! I wish the price was less so that we could have more sats :-D

IPL 2021 has been scheduled from 11 April 2021 which means we have 5 weeks in hand and in this five weeks we will need to find participants, sponsors and finalize everything before I unlock the main thread. But first we need to find a fair entry prize and need to see how many users are interested to join the pool. I will keep this topic open for a week. Let's promote this topic in different topic (cricket related).

It will be easier for me to talk to the sponsors when there will be many interested users to join the pool. So I would request the regulars to give little efforts to help us to manage at least 20 participants.

But for the regulars here, it is a very nice opportunity to get hands on some big $$$. IPL 2020 pool was extremely beneficial for the participants, because almost 80% of the prize money came from the sponsors and only around 20% came from the entry fee.

The last IPL prediction was fun and i am waiting for this years tournament and hopefully my luck continues . There are many cricket fans here in the thread and it will be easy to get 20 users.

I agree, maybe they need more strict rules like if a player does go out and mixes with the public then they could receive a fine or even suspension. I have seen this happen in other sports when players break the rules by going out side the bubbles. They are set up for a reason to help protect the players and the tournament. So I think if they introduce strict rules then it might stop players from going out side the bubble/hub.

The latest news is that two more overseas players have tested positive for the virus. PCB hasn't released the names, but in the statement it also mentions that a few of the supporting staff have also returned positive results for COVID 19. This tournament had such a great start. And after all that, now there are doubts about how the new positive cases will affect the remaining matches.

You can drop your preferable fee suggestion in the IPL thread. If i recall correctly then last time it was around $10-$15 bucks.

Hi, yes that's correct. I heard it on the radio while I was driving a couple of hours ago and have been trying to find a quote on an Australian news site concerning his comments about playing after the groin injury (in the Indian test tour)

Well he's premiere player for Australia and last summer he along with the smudge missed the Border-Gavaskar trophy due to ban so that might be one of the reason he opted to play despite injury and other openers were not in good form per se, so 1 more reason to play for his country.

I’m not saying what Warner said isn’t true, just that these two decided to make these comments right around the time when IPL is coming, hence it does makes me wonder what their actual intention are.

Steyn is a complete failure as far as T20 format is concerned. He is a really good test bowler (in fact one of the legends in the post-WW2 era), but his style of bowling is not suitable for the shorter format. On the other hand, Warner's style of play is tailor-made for T20 format. And I agree with his decision. In two months with IPL, he is earning many times what he gets from the remaining 10 months put together. Ideally, his concern should be to keep himself injury free for the IPL season.

Its about time Australia were able to put some partnerships together and post a decent sized total for New Zealand to chase which they were not able to do. It was a big turn around for Australia and in the series as it still gives Australia a chance of winning the series coming from 2-0 down. Now the momentum is with Australia which they kind of built on from the last match even though they lost by 4 runs.

It was nice to watch Finch back in action, after such a prolonged rough patch. Australia is still down by 1-2 and they need to win both the remaining matches. Glenn Maxwell is also back in form, and that should be good news for his IPL franchise (Royal Challengers Bangalore). On the other hand, RCB will be a bit worried about Kyle Jamieson, who has performed poorly so far in this series.

LOL.. Pollard just destroyed them. He scored 38 runs from just 11 balls, including 6 sixes. By the time he got out in the 7th over, West Indies had crossed the 100 run mark. West Indies do have the best T20 players in the world. But the main issue is that they are always busy with various franchise T20 leagues and in most cases not available for national duty. If players such as Pollard and Russel play more often for West Indies, then they will be invincible.

Bhai its tabloid news so don't read too much into it . Dale Styen should have know better that media love to create controversy out of nowhere and keyboard warriors makes matter worse. Anyway he already posted his clarification on twitter.

Davey's statement was about his injury (not related to IPL at all). He's back on the field now and playing domestic ODI tournament.
