Group A consists of four countries including Sri Lanka, Namibia, Netherlands and United Arab Emirates. I expect Sri Lanka to do well here but Netherlands have been in form recently and UAE can also perform well anytime. Namibia at this point managed to score 95 for 6 wickets in 15 overs which is very little score against Sri Lanka. I deserve Sri Lanka will win the match.

Sri Lanka has won the Asia cup recently by by beating other favourite teams. Namibia has scored 68 runs in the last 5 overs in today's match. It helped them to set a good target. Every bowler of Namibia has bowled well today. Luckily I hadn't placed any bets on Sri Lanka today .

Yes, we can say that this world cup started with unexpected results. Srilanka lost to Namibia which no one expected. Namibia scored 163 runs and Srilanka all out for 108 when they went in for the chase. The Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka scored 29 runs which were the highest among the Srilankan batsmen.

The 2nd match of the WC is in progress between UAE  and Netherlands. United Arab Emirates scored 57 runs for one wicket down in the 10th over. Right now i can't say which team will win this match as the match can go either way from here.

So the World Cup started and Sri Lanka started with a loss against Namibia, glad that i missed the match, if not i would have placed a bet on Sri Lanka even without checking the odds. With the match UAE vs Netherlands, everything is going based on the prediction. UAE is filled with players from Asian countries, but they haven't made themselves better than the past.

In T20 cricket we can't predict the outcome that easy. Namibia scoring 164 runs is a big thing. This is chaseable run for Sri Lanka, but they aren't doing the best. First of all, T20 is such an unpredictable format and no one should take their opponents casually. In case of Sri Lanka, they don't have depth in player pool, unlike the case with England or India. And therefore they should not get complacent. I understand that winning the Asia cup was a morale booster for them, but they really need to find composure and concentrate on the remaining matches. Now there is no room for error. They need to win the remaining two matches by good margins, or else they are out of the tournament.

What a match, UAE vs Netherlands. 112 runs isn't big score, and looked like an easy win for Netherlands. In between Netherlands lost its momentum and UAE took over the match as there is continuous loss of wickets. At some point Netherlands need 30 runs out of 30 runs. Netherlands won the match by 3 wickets and a ball left. If we're lucky enough, by the end of World Cup one can win big out of the bets.

Today we have first two matches of T-20 World Cup which were full of entertainment for cricket fans as in first match Namibia upsets Asian Champions by a big margin of 55 runs, and they were completely outclass in batting which is surely a big concern for them in coming matches specially after winning Asian Cup this performance is alarming how unpredictable they are and how unpredictable this format is.

In second match of the day we have another interesting match where Netherlands beat UAE in close encounter by 3 wickets and just one ball left in their inning, even target was not good enough, but bowling was at his best from UAE bowlers, and they not allow batting side to play freely but still they manage to win this match and now have good start of this event.

I was very surprised by Sri Lanka's performance in today's match. Because the Sri Lankan players were in great form in the T20 format. Sri Lanka won most of the matches in the last Asia Cup. Therefore, the chances of Sri Lanka winning against a team like Namibia in today's match were high. No one could have imagined that Namibia would win. However, the performance of the Namibian players was outstanding. The batting of Smit and Frylinck in particular was very commendable. Also bowled well by every Namibian bowler.

I can not believe it. I didn't watch any of those matches today. But, When I saw the result of the Sri Lanka VS Namibia match. I was stunned. What? Jan Frylinck Scored a Massive 44 from 28 Balls, and Smit scored another massive 31 from 16 balls only. Their batting line seems good. Also, All their bowlers were economical as well. None of them were expensive at all. Would you say the Namibia VS Sri Lanka match was an accident? I would say NO. They deserve it.

Look like after winning Asia Cup now they are thinking like Pakistan poor bowling the worst batting and lack of strategy give them shocking defeat but good thing they have two weak opponents and still time to fight back from this defeat and qualify for next round. Jan Frylinck and JJ Smit done good job for them, and they were able to have reasonable target on board after spirited batting they were amazing in bowling and not allowed any Sri Lankan batsmen to have good time at crease all bowlers were at their best, specially veteran David Wiese done good job for them now they have good chances for going into next round.

Tomorrow we have West Indies vs Scotland and then Ireland vs Zimbabwe, two matches full of entertainment going to be played at Hobart.

Since Sri Lanka started their Asia Cup journey with the same story, they may get their motivation from that tournament. In Asia Cup, Sri Lanka also lost one match to AFG, but they won the tournament. In other words, they have a history of motivation, and they can draw upon it once again in T20 World Cup situations. It is never a good idea to underestimate your opponents. UAE and Netherlands are not weak teams. The UAE team has several talented players. And if the performance of the Sri Lankan batsmen does not improve, Sri Lanka will lose against the UAE. The main weakness of UAE and Netherlands is the poor performance of their bowlers. As the Sri Lankan team performed against Namibia, it is not guaranteed that Sri Lanka will win against UAE and Netherlands. It will be very challenging for Sri Lanka to win the next two matches.
