WPL: GG vs UPW

Another entertaining match.

GG opted to bat first. Opener Mooney and Wolvaardt had good opening partnership however after Wolvaardt got out it was downhill for GG as each new batter who came to the crease had short stay while Mooney stayed on one end, in end overs Mooney shifted gears and got GG to decent total of 152, with her sole contribution being 74 and second being Wolvaardt with 43.

UPW comes to chase and gets early blows, they quickly lose 5 wickets, then Deepti-Khemnar hold field until the very end and they lose the game by 8 runs. The single Deepti took and gave strike to Khemnar was very unnecessary, she should have stuck to her ground because she was the big-hitter here and big hits were required.

I have a soft-corner for the Gujarat Giants Women, because they are the only team with an associate player in the squad (Kathryn Bryce from Scotland). Previously we had Tara Norris from the United States playing for the Delhi Capitals, but she was released this year. Not very surprising, given the aversion towards associate players from the IPL franchises. Yesterday Giants were able to defend a sub-par total, thanks to some fine bowling from Shabnam MD. She returned spectacular figures of 4-0-11-3. Tanuja Kanwar also provided good support.

Waoo what a drama especially at last few overs, I taught it gona be defeat for Peshawar zalmi but thanks GOD Finally Peshawar zalmi won thier last game of the PSL season 9 before move on to the playoff stage. To be honest after Peshawar zalmi innings things were looking in favour of Karachi because they didn't even lose a single wicket in power play and scored as much as possible without any trouble but later after dismissal of thier first two wickets dominance were shifted to Peshawar zalmi as thier bowler get thier confident of will and then they done extra ordinary

I placed my bet on Favour of Karachi kings but they lost the game In a nail-biting encounter Peshawar Zalmi emerged victory by a low margin of two runs. Peshawar Zalmi win securing the top spot on the points table. Peshawar Zalmi's overall performance left room for improvement but opener Babar Azam excellent half-century showcased batting power. Karachi Kings batsmen Seifert and Irfan khan displayed memorable contributions while Anwar Ali's standout performance in the last over added intensity to the game but Zalmi clinched the victory at last Over of the game and jumped to the top spot on the points table.

As the group phase last game all eyes are on the pivotal clash between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators. The Multan Sultans vs Quetta Gladiators match holds the key to deciding whether Quetta after winning and secures the second spot or Multan Sultans wins and claims the top position with 14 points. I think any team win definitely affects Islamabad united standing in the knockout phase of PSL.

Now we have just two matches remaining in this group stage with Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians are going to stay at the top and RCBW are needed to wait for their third spot because in case of win for the Gujarat Giants and lost of the RCB against Mumbai we will have some changes even these are not going to be easy with Delhi Capitals want to jump into final with their win against Gujarat Giants, and then we will have eliminator between second and third spotted teams.

UP Warriorz were terrible in this season while they fail to give anything good just 3 wins and 5 loses giving all details how their performance was with we have good from the both top teams which were doing good job and having quality at their best hopefully we will have improved things in coming season with now time for have one more team which could be good for the game.

Rumors were already out that Pant was fit to play in IPL, but today we get official confirmation from BCCI [1] for the same. DC has few good players, rest meh, DC's fate still seems to be bottom of table.

Opener George Munsey's excellent batting has led Scotland to a big collection. Scotland has collected 132 runs after 16 overs. Scotland lost 5 wickets, George Munsey remained unbeaten on 75 from 46 balls.

Scotland lost two wickets for just 13 runs. After losing wickets very quickly, I thought that maybe Scotland will not be able to provide a big target today. But now it seems that the team will be able to collect at least 170 runs today. And of course thanks must go to opener George Munsey. Munsey is slowly moving towards the century.

In UAE toss is the most important aspect of the match. The side winning the toss has more ratio of winning the game and the reason is dew factor. At later part of the game, dew jumps in and it becomes very easy to socre runs and that's why UAE decided to bowl first after winning the toss. Scotland struggling to complete there 20 overs, 8 wickets have gone down and still they have 2 more overs to play.

Although this is not much talked about but Scotland team is touring UAE to play with the Dubai cricket team. In the first match that was played yesterday, Scotland scored 148 runs. George Munsey scored 75 runs in 49 balls and this was an innings where he should have made Scotland won this match but unfortunately he was not supported by any other batsmen.  Junaid Siddique from UAE destroyed their innings and took four wickets giving away only 14 runs.

This target was chased easily by United Arab Emirates team. They have their captain, Muhammad Waseem who have a brilliant 68 runs and made sure UAE won the match as he remained not out. He was well supported by Tanish Suri and Alishan Sharafu and they United Arab Emirates team chased this score in 17.4 overs.

I wish that Scotland team learn from their batting mistakes so that we may see some competitive matches in this series.

Yes you are right the Papua New Guinea openers did really well in today match. Tony Ura and Sese Bau batted really they both helped their team win the match without losing any wickets. They chased the target almost in 13 overs. The target wasn't high but the performance of PNG was admirable.

Beating UAE on these pitches will be a tough ask for Scotland, but they are very much capable of doing this. George Munsey fought well, but, in the end, it was not enough because there was no support from the other end, whatsoever. Seven of their batters scored in single digits. Siddique was exceptional in his spell. In the end, it was an easy chase for the UAE. Their captain led the team from the front and scored an unbeaten fifty. UAE's top order looked solid against Scotland. In the next match, I think Scotland should rethink their strategy against UAE.

Tri-series between Papua New Guinea Hong Kong and Nepal cricket team is being held. Hong Kong and Nepal faced each other in the first match of this tri-series but Hong Kong batted first but the match was later abandoned due to rain. In the second match Nepal and Papua New Guinea faced each other in which the batsmen of the Nepal team scored 198 runs with an outstanding batting performance. In that match Nepal bowled exceptionally well as they bowled out Papua for just 113 runs and won the match by 85 runs.

Hong Kong and Papua New Guinea faced each other in the third match of their three-team tri-series. In the third match Hong Kong batted first and managed to score 121 runs in reply as Papua New Guinea reached the target of 124 runs for ten wickets. The position of the Hong Kong team among these three teams in the tri-series between them is pathetic. I think Nepal and Papua New Guinea teams are likely to play the final of this series.

Today is the last match of PSL in the group stage which is going to play between Multan Sultans vs Quetta Gladiators. This match nothing is decided because at this time, all the things for Qualifying were finished but still every match is important because this match result will tell who will go to play first Semi-final against Karachi Kings after 2 days now. When the last time, we saw this match, on that time, Amir was struggling to out Rizwan and Muhammad Rizwan hitting flick shots at him back to back. Now, I hope that this PSL history will repeat itself and again Amir will struggle to get out Rizwan.

Anyway, if you want to bet on this match, then my suggestion is to bet on Multan Sultan as they are favorites according to the odds.

^^^ Papua New Guinea managed to play two T20Is in the same day. They won against Hong Kong, but lost to Nepal. I am a bit confused about the schedule of the matches. It is too hectic. It is a bit unfair to PNG that they were asked to play two matches on the same day. Kushal Bhurtel returned figures of 4-0-12-4 for Nepal. Nepali spinners have performed well recently. But at the same time, their pacers have been disappointing. Karan KC, Sompal Kami and Gulsan Jha are not being consistent and they are not getting the wickets.

Yes you are right Karachi Kings had a chance to win the match but Peshawar Zalmi and their captain Babar Azam played well. That was a pride moment for City Peshawar citizen. By the way cricket is a team sport so one player performance doesn't always decide the result. Karachi Kings missed some chances, but that's normal in the game. Well done to Peshawar Zalmi for winning, and both teams played well. But I was thinking that Karachi Kings will win this match but at the end the overall situation got totally changed.

Yesterday in a pitch where batsmen were not able to hit six because the Karachi Stadium pitch was too good for bowlers and especially spinners. As you can see Shoaib Malik spin balls against Babar Azam and other batsmen. Babar Azam was trying to tip on his ball but the spin was really too much by Shoaib Malik and if Babar Azam hit so there were too many chances to his out by the fielder and Shoaib Malik also gave him ball at the leg side even he gave two wide balls to him and third came inside which was too close to hit wicket, but also after that ball he hit him four and came outside from the pressure zone.

Quetta Gladiators vs Multan Sultans is a great game and it is very difficult to predict which team will win today's match.
