Today, there were two two matches in IPL competition and in these two matches, one match already finished at crease and while other match is being ongoing in stadium. Rajasthan Royal sqaud displayed superb performance in today match against Lucknow Super Giants squad. An unexpected loss for Mumbai Indians today. They failed to chase a medium target of 169 against Gujrat Titans. Winning the toss, Mumbai Indians made Gujrat Titans bat first. Which was a good strategy as Gujrat titans made only 168.
It was an easy target for MI and they were comfortable through most of the match. The turning point arrived when MI lost 5 of its wickets in 11 balls. Losing to Gujrat Titans by 6 runs.
With this every teams on IPL have played a match each and MI, DC, RCB are on losing side.

Now this 5 th game was ended between GT team and MI team and Mumbai Indian won toss and Mumbai Indian team gave a batting lineup to opponent team GT. This game was held in Narendra Modi Stadium. GT team set 168 runs in 20 overs by losing 6 wickets and GT team performed very well in this game. MI team did not chase this target and lost this game by 6 runs only and last oner MI team needed 19 runs but only made 12 runs. In last few overs, MI team did not picked good runs.S.Sudharsan credit by player of game title because he scored 45 runs in 39 balls with three 4s and one 6s. Many bowlers of GT team got 2 wickets and showed brilliant effort. Overall, Congratulations GT team for 1 st win.

Today match which was very spectacular and interesting.  These were all five matches.  Which was between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans.  The Gujarat Titans batsmen had set a target of 168 runs in the innings of 20 overs.  Which is a great goal. Their batsmen did well in the match and their batsmen work hard and struggle and gave good targets.  And more than that their bowlers work hard and struggle to win this match.  Their bowlers stop the runs of the opposition team and take wickets and work hard and compete and win the match.  Their bowlers work hard at the end.  In today match his team won by 6 runs. I congratulation the Gujarat Titans team for the win and pray that they continue to play like this and win the match. Today he played the match with full interest and focus and won. GT so far have played two IPLs and they are last year runner up while winner in 2022 IPL, based on historic performance they are one of strong side in this year IPL also. MI had unlucky start of the IPL, they were going good until Rohit Sharma and Dewald Brevis were batting on the crease. Once Sharma and Dewald Brevis got out match started slipping away from MI and they ended up losing the game by just 6 runs.

I feel making Hardik as a captain has created rift within the MI and when there is lack of unity there is potential for downfall. It would have been a different thing had it was Rohit who himself decided that Hardik should be a captain and asked fans to support him.

Cummins and Starc performed like crap and were overhyped as expected. There are extremely few cases of big budget players actually living up to their prices in the IPL so far based on my observations.

Which few players if I may ask?

IMO there is no way even player himself can justify prices which these two are sold for. I'm sure they try their best to be 'worth it' but it's just not possible and it's just lapse from bidders to pay such hefty prices.

I agree that luck plays a big role in cricket matches and Mumbai Indians did put up good fight despite loss. Mumbai Indians' defeat was completely unexpected. And I would say Mumbai lost this match because of their overconfidence. The batsmen were very confident. So the team failed to win even by batting at such a small target.

The match went out of Mumbai's hands at 13-17 overs due to Mumbai's poor batting. In these 5 overs, Mumbai collected only 26 runs with the loss of two wickets. The target was low, so naturally the Mumbai batsmen batted cautiously. But the lower order batsmen could not perform their duties properly.



I will blame Hardik Pandya for the defeat. Pandya is an experienced batsman. He certainly managed to adapt to the match situation very well. Even then he could not bat responsibly. Pandya returned to the dressing room after collecting 11 runs off 4 balls.

Apart from Mumbai Indians opener Ishan Kishan, every batsman in the top order performed well. Since the target was not too big, the top order batsmen played better in comparison. But I am fed up with the batting of Tim David, Dewald Brevis and Coetzee. Brevis batting was very slow in this match. He scored the highest runs for Mumbai. But the strike rate of Brevis was only 121. Tim David's batting was also slow. He collected 11 runs off 10 balls. The slow batting of these two batsmen was one of the reasons for Mumbai's defeat.

There is no doubt that the Gujarat bowlers have bowled very controlled. As they well knew, the target of 169 runs was very difficult to win. A win is impossible without a good performance by the bowlers. Gujarat's bowlers gave only 3 extra runs in this match. On the other hand, Mumbai bowlers gave 12 extra runs.

KKR barely won against SRH while GT barely won against MI. GT vs MI match was easily the best one so far thanks to all the ups and downs. I bet on GT and was happy to see them win thanks to their bowlers primarily.

Mohit Sharma continues to rock while MI should be embarassed of themselves for messing up such an easy chase. Hardik should have tried playing till the end instead of trying to score sixes of every ball. Bad captaincy!
