Of course, every ICO will provide a sales schedule for tokens that are done so if the things experienced by your friends are only part of a scam project, in my opinion because there is no clear certainty, because I also often get projects like that and if we feel very lost and have wasted a lot of time working on projects.
Either it is a scam or a legit one still have chances to prolong their campaign if necessary for some reasons, but mostly it happens into scam project as I've experience before. Honestly, they can easily chance the course if they want too cause they are the one holding the funds as a assigns BM still have their job also. |

It varies from project to project. The last IEOs are selling out their tokens within seconds and there are some projects like Outofthecloud that are holding their sales for more than several months and it is normal.
Like you said it varies because the plan cooked by project owners cannot be the same cause some project unable to raise some fund through angel investors, some are fine with minimum cap while some like to have enough fund which will allow the advertising of the project. Therefore, comparing how long an ICOs will last will only lead to misconception. |

I think your friend should choose the project for Signature campaign more careful next time - Bounty campaigns normally run for not more than 3 months.

there should be but indeed some ico like to do things like the worse ones that really slow down their reward, which I know the project like this is a satt project running over 5 months, but it turns out they didn't hold an ico immediately and held ico in a few months but for payment they still share the time I want to start but I don't know whether the project is scam or not

Icos vary indifferently; some icos last for just a day Some icos reach softcap and hardcap in just 7 days Where as some icos last 3 months and end up not reaching softcap It all depends on your project some icos last for seconds. but good icos are few and far in between. you wont even get a chance to enter good icos |

ICO last longer than normal these days. The recent bear market situation and substandard projects popping up here and there are partly to be blamed. Better to spend some time on project with sensible whitepaper to have better chances of working for those that will end up successful

The time of the ICO depends of the decision of the team how long their ICO will be, or when the hardcap will be reached.

I’m happy to remember 2016, when the Bounty companies are no more than 2 months and, accordingly, the company’s ico passed quickly, because they were collecting the Hard cap. To date, the deadlines have increased to 24 weeks or more. |

There is no limit when it comes on ICO. It really up to the team if they are going to launch it for a year or so. In regards with the bounty, it is also up to them. I have joined OUTOFTHECLOUD as well and if you're going to read on their telegram group there is already an explanation from the CEO and as what they said the rewards for the bounty program will be paid soon.

Most of the ICO's nowadays have extended the duration of their token sale due to the bearish market because they expect that extending the ICO would help to attract more investors which is not totally true if they don't have a marketing strategy. There is no particular duration for any ICO because it will depend on the preference of the team itself but usual ICO can last from 3 - 6 months.

I read about this project though and even though they have a very useful case to present the bear market has made contributions from investors very little delaying the completion of the project.

Usually most ICO will run their sale for months. At least they need 1 month to achieving soft cap. If their soft cap not achieved, then they may prolong the sale period. Your friend's ICO is not normal, it won't last for 8 months usually. |

I don't think threre is a fixed duration for an ICO. From my experiences, mostly hold the ICO for 3 months. Some has stated on the whitepaper, some might extended the duration or paused due to market condition. That's why we should keep following their information from any resources. However there were ICOs that run for 8 months or even more. Some ended well, but some ended failed. |

The team a ICO project determine how long they want want ICO sales to be on for. Most ICO are however being affected by the bearish market. In most cases ICO lasts for about 2-3 months. although i have came across some that lasted for 6 months but this happen in rare cases. However, the longer the ICO sales period doesn't guarantees ICO success.

I also one of their victims, I thought it's going to be a huge project, because they already have a working platform and they had a lot of users, they are an established business online, I stopped doing bounty for them because they keep extending it, my only hope is they still going to pay the old spreadsheets. |

Actually, if I can say, there is no limit on how long does the ICO last but most of them are typically run about 3-4 months. In your statement regarding the ICO, it seems like you were asking about the bounty since you put up a link on the bounty.
Yes, basically ICO's or initial Coin offering can be done forever by a project, in a reason that, if they still just want to sell infinite volume of the token, they they can, just like the project that I know before, its ICO is finished but the concept of offering their coin is still there since they are still selling the coin in a discounted price which I find continuous manifestation if ICO. |

I don't think it's too different, but maybe now many investors prefer the IEO to the ICO which I think is outdated. But, they don't think it will make any difference, it's just a matter of time, and the IEO will also experience the same problem and there will be a new way of selling to replace it. |
