It seems gone are the days when ICO's end within few days or get rushed at and it become rationed that it is shared among certain investors and a lot of persons may not be able to buy due to the rush. Recently,, most ICO's hardly make it to their soft cap and it takes several months if not up to a month to complete sale

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

The duration of an ICO only depends on the timelines that have been set by the team. This also depends on how successful the token sales of the project is doing. I read about this project though and even though they have a very useful case to present the bear market has made contributions from investors very little delaying the completion of the project.

I think the future of ICO will not be long, and the replacement of ICO is the IEO, look at various exchanges such as binance, there are many IEOs that are successful and reach hardcap, while many ICOs fail to reach the softcap.
Rather talking about bullshit and i suggest you to learn more and know the differences between IEO and ICO because both are the same and that's the point. Please, you can't make it the same as crap STO. IEO is the same as ico.

Exactly how much will the crypto market live. Now we see how quickly and easily projects collect funds in seconds, and how much investment money is ready to join the market.

The funny thing is that a lot of ICOs can open up to a year, sometimes I think if they don't have capital so they only hope from investors, I think a good project is having huge money, not dependent on ICO.

When an ICO project is launched, the project team usually set a specific target for the ICO which is often what determines when the ICO will end. Some projects will set a soft cap and hard cap, which usually are the threshold to determine when the ICO will end.  But for your friend's case, I think the ICO project might be a scam or its either the ICO soft cap was not reached.  your friend should just be patience and do more research about the project and should try contacting the team members.

I think the best option for the ICO duration is 1-2 months. This period is quite enough to collect the necessary amount of money for the project promotion. If this term is more than 2 months, then this is evidence of the insufficient elaboration of the project development strategy and its entry into the crypto market.

Depends on the project but I do think an ico should last between 3-12 months
If the project is sound and rewarding with good hypes; such icos should last 3 weeks and get sold out

But if the project is feebish, existing invention and zero hype; could take 2 years without ever reaching softcap

It really depends on.

Succesfull ico's last shorter. Mostly around a month. But unsuccesfull ones takes years and at the end status never change. It stays as unsuccesful.

That's why you need to stop doing these types of signature mate! Because most of his campaign was too long, some of his campaigns were one year long but still that project hasn't started ICO! The ICO market is doing average business nowadays because Investors are not enough to interest to buy ICO coin, they are filling their bags by the big coin! The ICO market will last until the bitcoin market runs, this is my opinion, so, it is not faulted for ICO, it is faulting for some bad projects, who has nothing personal and only came in the crypto market to raise some money and then silence!

Yes, now the whole market is going through not the best of their days. and it's normal that the ico is gaining little and long, who invests in such a market?)) now likely to charges on the ico go more funds than conventional investors. but when the market unfolds, it is likely that we will see a new wave of ico.

How long does Ico last?

So, my friend is participating in the subscription campaign in the OUTOFTHLOUD project. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4814891.0
then something has changed and now https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5085373
The rewards program began on August 1 and continues to this day. It has been 8 long months. Posts in social networks stopped at the end of 2018. For all Telegram questions, when the program ends for a fee, my friend gets one answer - after Ico. When asked when Ico will end - silence.
It’s a pity to throw a signature, it turns out 8 months of work wasted ...

Tell me, is there a limit on the duration of Ico? It can not last forever?
ICO (Initial Coin Offer) has the role to gather money for the project. This could take place in several stages but even so, in the White paper should be mention (roadmap) the start and the end date of ICO. Probably it is a scam.

It should not even last for two months, if the project is good it will only take a month to get a project funded, one-month bounty campaign will create awareness of any project, for investors to get it noticed, if a bad project is bad even if they have a high rating in ICO or good reviews coming from these so-called experts, they will just ignore it.

in my opinion the right time and 2 or 3 months, i would leave lose the ico that has a roadmap and fundraising that is longer than 6 months, and those that block token bounty for the same period, i do not have to invest time and resources in projects that are more than 6 months long

Really ? That was over a year . i was aware of the miracle tele ico but im not a participant on it but if im not mistaken i think i have joined one of their airdrops but i dont recieve any tokens until now .

Meanwhile , most of the ico that i know were only lasted two to three months but the max would be 4 to 5 months if ever they want to extend because they were lacking of investors or they are only seeing good results  .

Usually, an ICO lasts for about 3 to 5 months. Some do have multiple levels/phases; that is why sometimes it takes a bit longer than usual. But if you are asking about Bounty campaign, most of the bounty campaigns start before the ICO commence. Meaning, the marketing team can start their bounty campaign 1 to 2 months before the ICO.

I know that feeling disappointed in you, has wasted all that time and thought but got no value at all. Before you follow the gift, the research you do, whether the schedule and workflow of the project you follow make sense? Is not at that time a scam case was rife.

Back again in the project that you are taking part in, the manager team has full control of the project, the project may stop in the middle of the road. I think if there is normally no duration on the ico project, it depends on the schedule on the project being followed

Before participating ICO make sure that they have duration when ICO ends because maybe participants will be suffer if it tales very long before the ICO ends. The minimum is 3 months and telegram created for questions to answer if they have question of investors or participants but maybe better for them to have specific months to end but sometimes they extend more weeks or months to reach the target to become successful.
