Anything could be CPU mined, there would just be no point;)  Shacoin is SHA256 and is ASIC only if you ever want to see any coins.

The advantage to shacoin is that most of the coins will be generated using POS, so if you buy some coins now and hold them, you will be receiving dividends into perpetuity without mining at all.

using minerd (google for a download link)

minerd --scantime 99 --url stratum+tcp://PoolName:port --userpass user.worker:pass --threads 12 --retries -1 -P

Not sure how many coins you would get though...

I was wondering. After the p.o.w. phase is over won't the blackcoin pool not be able to effect this coin if it has been? Won't that let true p.o.s.coins like this and others gain attention and skyrocket?

Multiple exchanges are killing coins too early. Let this thing get some legs. Cryptoaltex can handle the volume right now. We need to get the word out and right now that is usually coinmarketcap. If it hits poliniex or cryptorush too early it will lose excitement quickly.

When I trying solo mining this coin ( I know it's crazy for current difficulty, just for test)  I got a message

"[2014-03-20 19:23:58] blktmpl error: Unrecognized block version, and not allowed to reduce or force it"

What is it? My setup and configuration mining other coin is normal.
