I fully agree with you. Anything is better than an inflationary currency. Smart people should look to get rid of their fiat currency as soon as possible. Every day you hold a dollar you lose a small percent of it. Of course that you won't feel it in the short term, but in a few years you shall realise that you can't buy half of what you could 10-20 years ago. Also why not expose yourself to a potentially rewarding asset like gold, Bitcoin, real estate, stocks, etc. while you're saving money.

Indeed gold is a great option for investment, some still argue if it's better or worse than Bitcoin. I'd vote for both.
And using tokens like this, one doesn't have to take care about handling the physical gold - from delivery to storage.

Also unlike stable coins like USDT, this project seems to have proper audit for the way the funds/tokens are backed.

Q1 goes upto at-least the end of March so they still have time to achieve the objectives. Personally i would evaluate their progress towards the end of March

I think this is great news for the Digital Gold project that Tether wants to start with exactly the same concept which is tokenized gold.
Of course, it will be a really strong concurrent for the GOLD token, but taking into consideration the advertisement which Tether will make for tokenized gold, it can be useful also for the DIgital Gold project and the entire market niche.

The Trade volume indicated is the 24 hour total trading volume therefore expect some fluctuations. Perhaps the value was different at the time @taufik123 checked compared to the time you checked.

I can not disagree with you. Let's see to other crypto currencies, which ones have taken over Bitcoin? Not yet. Which ones have taken over Ethereum (as the first tokenized platforms for many projects)? Not yet. It will likely be the same for Digital Gold, the first successful project in this area. Tether might have sucessfulness with their project but to say their one will take over our Digital Gold, I don't believe it will happen.
