Seems like you lost this bet too as the game is over now and no team was able to score any more goals. In the end i have to say it really was a great game to watch as it was very close up until the end and we also have seen a lot of chances created. I would say that after all Barcelona was even a bit lucky that the final score is 1-1 as for me Frankfurt was the better team today. They had a huge chance to score an early goal but Djibril Sow somehow missed that huge chance which should have definitely been a goal and directly after the 1-0 of Frankfurt they even had another big chance to make it 2-0. Barca basically had way less chances to score today, but they are still the favorite to advance into the next round for me.

Barcelona even with a player advantage in this match couldnt win. It was 10 minutes with 1 more player but they should have taken the advantage of that. Frankfurt could have done much better i think. It will be hard for them in Spain to get a positive results honestly.

This is not a bad result for Barcelona at least they have secured one away goal then in the second leg of their tasks it's easier

Frankfurt surprisingly played very well in the first leg match against Barcelona this time. They don't seem afraid of Barcelona's big name as Europe's top team at the moment, so it was really a good spectacle today. But I don't think Barcelona played badly today despite not getting many chances.

I can still hope that Barcelona will qualify for the next round where the second leg will be held at Camp Nou. Barcelona have to evaluate today's result because I think Frankfurt know what to do to stop Barcelona's attack. The entry of Dembele and De Jong has changed the match for the better, they should be Xavi's first choice in the second leg later.

Barcelona failed to win as we expected, they even were 1 goal behind for more than 15 minutes, Leipzig failed earlier, West Ham didn't succeed to get 3 points also from Lyon. And Rangers which some here expected it to win vs Braga, just lost with 1 goal lol. Epic 1st leg but the good part is that the second leg will be intense and we might see a surprise or two

Barcelona shouldn't be afraid, if they play without fear, if they play attacking football by keeping possession like they have so far, then it shouldn't create any problems for them at all. At the end of the day this is Barcelona we are talking about and when you look at the rosters on paper you see the quality difference.

The only problem they might have is lose of focus, in this type of stage it is easy to get lost in the game, and then stay in shambles. Look at Psg, they are a great team but they lost focus in one game and now they are out of champions league, same could happen to Barcelona or if they do not lose that focus they will win big time.

You are right the second leg is determinant each team will try the best to get maximum results where home team will be more confident because it previously played a draw
Competition will be more competitive because each has scored one goal then one other goal will be more meaningful when crucial
So far the European League participants have yet to ensure they qualify.

Three games ended up with the same result tonight, 1-1. And we saw two red cards as well. Barcelona would have benefited from one of these red cards but Frankfurt still managed to secure a 1-1 draw at least. However their chance in Camp Nou is not too high as long as Barcelona play focusedly. And in the other game that we saw a red card in, West Ham still did a good job against Lyon. Even though Lyon dominated the second half, West Ham scored first and then Lyon found the equalizer. Getting a 1-1 draw despite a red card is still not that bad but West Ham will need to work hard in the rematch.

Yes, It was tougher than they would have anticpated, but I guess that is what you would expect from a road trip against a well over average opponent. It was still a positive result to take back home for Barcelona and hopefully they can get the best result in the return leg, but Barcelona still can't afford to get extremely comfortable because they'd be playing at home.

I didn't watch any of these matches today, but I was quite surprised when I saw the final result of the 1st leg match, some of the top teams actually got a draw, Westham and Barcelona were previously predicted to have an easy match because their level was one level higher than the opponents they faced, but today we see that they have difficulty in winning and of course this indicates that the team in the quarter-finals is a team that has fairly balanced skuad quality regardless of the big names they have.
