Selling altcoins when their price is at the bottom, of course, does not make sense. But not all altcoins destined to grow, so some of them should be sell it immediately and not keep for as long as they have completely lost their value.

Basically, it makes sense in two cases: possible further dump or urgent money need. Otherwise it truly makes no sense of selling your assets at the very bottom.

For me, this does not make any sense even if you are selling your coin at high need as money has always been a need but we should keep some amount of money saved so that at times of need we will not have to sell our coin at a panic price. This is totally wrong and full of losing as if you sell it now a day coz the price is low better keep holding.

in my opinion everyone has different reasons why they sell altcoin at low times. maybe at that time they were in need of money. or maybe it's because they've seen that altcoin won't be able to develop because the manager and the development team aren't experienced people. so they decide to sell rather than if they are not for sale they will get nothing. or maybe they consider that altcoin they have is not so potential and want to try another altcoin so they decide to sell coins.

Lol. Panic sellers. I'm not selling an altcoin at the bottom unless i have the guts to let that altcoin out of my portfolio for one reason that altcoin is a dead one. If i am going to trade 'em, i will buy at the bottom what's the reason of selling at the very bottom if you know that altcoin have a potential to go up by basing on technical analysis thats how i trade altcoin.

Panic psychology has caused them to sell altcoins at low prices because they certainly cannot make good profits from that coin so they will often choose a safe solution to secure their assets. In fact any investor will go through this stage so it's no surprise. In my opinion, before investing, you need to have a specific plan and always think carefully because not everyone is lucky enough to be able to survive in the bear market.

You should analyze that coin yourself and learn carefully to avoid risks because there are currently hundreds of altcoins available in the crypto market and every altcoin will have its own risks in investment.

In my own point of view, i sell my altcoins when at the very bottom because i really wanted to move it to another altcoin that has a good value or that has a potential to increase for me to earn good profit, and sometimes i avoid letting it's price very low, so i could have enough money to provide my necessities.

I will not do that, because every choice of coins that I invest is the top coin in the market, always has further price developments, is widely used by investors, and also the team is always active in developing its projects. so I personally will not sell it at low prices.

Yes people sell and they could have more than one reason for it some people sell to get money and some sell to change their assets but it’s not good to sell it at the bottom as it reduces the profit and increases the risk. I don’t sell it for any reason because I believe in holding and Hold with patience until the price recovers totally as every good investor knows selling at bottom or panic is the worst choice.

the market is still recovering, indeed slow. but at least we have seen positive movements since the market crashed in early 2018. at least now there has been a good increase since the fall of prices some time ago. I understand that you all still have not accepted this situation because what you see is only one side, namely the collapse of a very sharp market and has not returned. Agree, everyone has their own reasons why they sell tokens at cheap prices. Maybe it's because the investor doesn't trust the developer team or it could be because they see a good opportunity on another coin. But certainly, people sell at cheap prices because they do not want greater losses

It's really hard for us that the altcoin you love cause you so much grief. But i still recommend to do some research everytime you buy or sell altcoins

I think it depends on what altcoin we save. If we hold altcoin which is only for pump and dump, surely holding is the wrong choice. But if altcoin like TRX, XRP, XLM, ADA, ETH could be able to provide benefits if we hold for a long time.
But on the other hand, it's also rather difficult for me to determine the current market direction. What I do is save FIAT for now and wait for the right time to enter again on altcoin.

If you are holding a coin or a token that has lost most of its value, then the best thing to do is to get rid of it before it become completely worthless. I know that many people will face great difficulty in selling the assets at a price much below their original purchasing price. But this is something that they need to do. If you want to be a successful investor, then you need to use your brain more than your heart. Don't get in to emotional attachment with any of your assets. Just admit that your choice of investment was not good and get rid of it.

Well, maybe you are right. there are many reasons that make us sell prices that have decreased. one of the factors could also be that they have re-analyzed and the trend direction shows a decline. the decision to sell is not the wrong thing right? because we avoid actually greater losses

It makes no logical sense to sell an altcoin right at the very bottom of a market cycle.  Look I know its very painful to see that altcoin you love some much cause you so much grief, and not to mention checking your altcoin account balance looks like a scene from a horror movie.  But I am here to tell you, to hold strong, keep the faith and ride this altcoin storm as we are about to hit a very sweet spot in the market cycle where altcoins will explode in value.  Almost every altcoin is extremely oversold when comparing it to previous altcoin ATH (all time highs) and not to mention when comparing it to the bitcoin rally of late.

ATTENTION: We are about to enter altcoin season right at the very bottom, there will be some explosive move coming....Please hold firm.

Holdl altcoins? #lol. I'm a fan of hodling but not every altcoins deserve to be hodl and if you chose to do otherwise,  it will definitely end in only one thing.......

I've sold a lot of altcoins which i contemplated to be at the very bottom but i thank God that i did because their prices are nothing to write home about now. And most of the altcoins i fell in love with and hodl surely dissapoints because most devs do create coins with predetermined intentions of cashing out certain amount and when they hit that amount,  boom its game over.

investment in a state of declining development and sell it certainly investors have a reason to do that one of them is as you say because of the urgent need so that requires money and the other reason may be the investor panic with the worsening crypto market situation

I've sold a lot of altcoins which i contemplated to be at the very bottom but i thank God that i did because their prices are nothing to write home about now. But top altcoins like ETH, TRON, XRP are worth to hold because they have a lot upcoming events that gonna be held in the upcoming years.
And also holding some of them are not bad too since the price is not on their best right now. When the crypto becomes mainstream again just like 2017 i'm sure those alts will rise also.
But yeah i agree with your statement that most altcoin are not surviving in this current market condition, but only for new alts, old altcoins has already got much profits from the investor so they can survice because they still able to funds the development of their coin

Selling with panic market is indeed the main reason why most traders sell their assets at the bottom, they are not willing to wait and they are basing their investment to how the situations brings them, It's best to make sure that you do know what you are doing in order not to fall with panic selling.

Aside from quick dumped wise investors deals with changing assets,  they do understand how market works and how they can recover just in-case they made a mistake from previous investment.

Selling your coins because you need the money while understandable it shows a lack of planning on the part of the investor, you should never invest all your money in the markets, it is important to leave some portion of your capital in reserve in the case an emergency happens, this way you can avoid selling at the bottom and this is even more important if the investment you made was a long term one because if you invested in the right coin then the chances you recover your money are very high.

Now selling because you believe there could be another dump in the price indicates that most likely the investor in question invested in the wrong coin and now is paying the price for that decision.

Because investors are getting tired of waiting and want to save at least some money from their bad investment option. It cannot be that a project collects solid amount of money and lets the price go down and make -x15 from the ICO price.
