I believe that it was already obvious that Chelsea would destroy Lille decently. I mean that Lille were not even having a decent season and we were clearly seeing it by their performance in the Ligue 1. And I know one thing also that Chelsea didn't win the Premier League title too when they won the Champions League title last season. But this is not the same thing. Lille don't have a very good starting eleven which is full of very qualified players. And they don't have a great manager like Tuchel too.

What do you think today about the Atletico - United game? Atletico is a slight favorite according to the bookies, but neither team is really performing well this season.

United might be in a slightly better form at the moment but Atletico still knows how to play on the result - whereas United does not.

United is undefeated in their last 5 CL games but they won only 1 out of their 7 knockout games in Spain. Atletico however has 4 defeats in a row against English teams.

I give advantage to United this time, I think they are a better team! United draw no bet is maybe the safest option here, after all, Ronaldo is familiar with Atletico and I think he will have a good game, probably we will see him scoring at least one goal! That should be a good bet as well... Definitely, a game where anything can happen, and as I said I think United is a slight favorite in my opinion!

I also feel they are strong favorites tonight, they have scored 70 goals in Eredivisie and conceded only 5 times in 20+ games.

However - when they did concede, they usually lost the game. They have +65 goal difference in 23 games but have lost 3 and drawn 2 of them - meaning that they don't know how to turn things around when it doesn't go their way. Benfica is not the team it was but still finished 2nd in the group with PSG and Barcelona, meaning that they won't be pushed over easily. Still, I feel your Ajax bet has decent value.

Having the most ball possession is not enough for winning I'm afraid. Villarreal played well if we take all of their statistics into account. But this was because Juventus scored very early too. They scored nearly at the beginning of the game. And they did their thing as always by trying to keep their 1-0 advantage until the end. Because it was going to be enough for Juventus for the second leg. But Villarreal finally scored the equalizer however couldn't get ahead. And now, Juventus are still holding an advantage.

I expected Chelsea to win easily against Lille and result-wise they did, but the game was more open than it looks at first glance. I was watching it because Liverpool play Chelsea in the cup final on Sunday and I wasn't impressed with Chelsea at all.

I feel they are in a downward spiral, they allowed Lille to arrive into dangerous zones quite often and couldn't keep possession well enough. They also had Kovačić and Ziyech come out with injuries so it remains to be seen whether they will be ready for the weekend.

Chelsea scored an important early goal in the game and that was a foundation they had to build on to. Manchester United have been incredibly of recent in their performance , I know this match between Manchester United and Atletico will be interesting to watch, Atletico are also trying in their performance too but I think Manchester United will dominate more in the match. Am the last person to believe that Lukaku will be benched in today's Chelsea match against Lille. This shows that there's no particular spot in Chelsea for a player that is not doing well. Yes, if you talk about individuals, Ronaldo has a good meeting record every time he meets Diego Simeone's care. But he also needs support from his teammates, otherwise I don't think he will be able to do anything either. The problem is, lately Manchester United have had a problem with that, yes, with their team's game. Manchester United have not been very good if we look at their team's game. There's still a lot more that needs to be fixed.

Juventus defended very well for most parts of the game. They conceded a goal after they believed that Vlahovic was fouled while losing possession and instead of continuing to play, they froze and expected to hear the referees whistle. The goal that followed was amateurishly conceded. The Mckennie injury was bad because he is the only player with guts and quality in the current midfield. MU has not faced ATM for a long time, but in this match, I chose "draw". MU and ATM both have unstable performances, apart from that in their respective leagues, both of them also have a history that is not so good in this season.

I have seen some tentative or predicted line up of Manchester United vs Atletico Madrid that is holding later this night. What I didn't like in the line up is seeing Rashford at the right flank and seeing Maguire at the middle defense.
If Manchester united really want good result, they should start Lingard or Elanga ahead of Rashford. Rashford plays ball these days like a king. The way he treks in the pitch is what I don't understand. He doesn't complete his markings.

Juventus was very poor and it's disappointing seeing them playing this way,they are the Italian giant the should be demolishing teams like Villarreal in the champions League,I think they have to strengthen their squad in the summer,they are very weak in the midfield department,they need quality in that position and also in attack, Vlahovic is a good signing but they need more, the defence is okay, I heard they are interested in autaro Martinez at inter Milan, I really think is the sort of player they need but I doubt if inter Milan will sale, because they are direct rivals for the title.

Injury has always been a part of Chelsea's problem, at every point we have one or two players out due to injury. I just hope Mateo Kovacic, Hakim Ziyech injury aren't that serious to keep them out of the season like how James and chilwell injury has. In regards to the performance yesterday, it wasn't a surprised both teams played well but Chelsea were superior. We should have scored more than 2 goals as that can easily be equalized due to home advantage.

Lille has been impressive this season in the champions league although not doing great at domestic league and Chelsea has been better in cup competition than league games. Both teams deserve more time in the competition sadly only one will progress and that will be Chelsea.

Unfortunately the fastest goal did not help them to win the match. Villareal played very well as a home team, Juventus with so many missing best players were lucky enough to get 1 point. Vlahovic is a very potential players but with the lack of passing from other players, he may lose all his potential skills.

Benfica v Ajax, I'm curious about this match and if it's possible they will each have their own goals so they have more than 2.5 goals. Considering that so far the teams that have competed in the last 16 only Manchester City have managed to score a lot of goals, while the other teams have only got a low goal ratio of under 2.5 goals. Benfica itself is not good enough in defense because at least in the few matches he played in the local league Benfica always conceded, in contrast to Ajax who were even able to win big with clean sheets in the local league and that was something great. But here at UCL, will they still be the same as their gameplay when competing in the local league, I'm very curious and I hope both teams to score goals or at least this match has a goal over 2.5 goals.
