Because by this level of performance, they would have definitely lost against a more powerful team. They are just lucky that Atletico Madrid's effort hasn't been much different than them. it was a big shock for me to see this result, i bet on ajax and i was confident that ajax would be able to win this game easily and they drew, honestly it doesn't even look like ajax, benfica is not a very strong team, they have difficulties in win when they play against strong teams from the portuguese league so they were supposed to lose in that game at least that was the analysis i did, i lost my money on that bet and my bankroll is reduced and even if i win the other two bets i wont be able to recover my bankroll and I will continue in the loss. it was a weekend with many losses and this game also lose

I don't think United will go all in, it makes no sense, this is the first match and it is much more profitable to lose 1-0 now and fix everything at home than to rush into the attack now and lose due to counter attacks with a larger score.
Ajax is awesome. The top scorer in the Champions League this season has already scored two goals, but one in his own net  

Winning in UCL is a pretty big deal especially in the 1st leg because it will makes the 2nd leg seems a little bit easier as the team wont be pressured that much to win but in this case, I dont see how United would win against Atletico so if we get to score a goal and get a draw on this game then its pretty much good enough for the 2nd leg.

In my opinion, the advantage of one goal now does not mean anything (it used to mean something if it was an away match) - everything will be resolved in the second match, and if the team that lost the first one is really stronger than the opponent, then one way or another it will be able to win back one goal.

Juventus defended very well for most parts of the game. Yes, I know that there is no away goal rule anymore. I actually meant that Juventus are playing much better in their home games so it could be seen as an advantageous score for them still. I do not know away goal rule has been cancelled, which means if the game is drawn, it will lead to extra time and if no winner, it will lead to penalty irrespective of the goals scored between the two clubs. Pretty happy with this result. Despite not winning and Man United did not have many chances to score. They still have the second leg at Old Trafod that's an advantage. If you look at the match, Athletico played with a lot of offense. In addition, Ronaldo is also in guard, so that he can not move freely. I actually see this is not bad and managed to draw at Atletico is actually quite good for United now.
