But it is still doubtful if they can make it to the next round of the CL. They must be aware of a fact that they are going to have to play much better than this in the rematch to have a big chance for eliminating their opponent.

I actually see this is not bad and managed to draw at Atletico is actually quite good for United now.
Even though Atletico's performance is quite bad in La Liga now but they are still a great team and when Manchester United dominate it is quite good for them.
On the other hand, Leg 2 they will be at Old Trafford, of course they will do their best now I think because it is supported by thousands of fans of course it will increase their enthusiasm.

Having started with lindelof behind, I was thinking they're gonna take Harry Maguire off, but lindelof the better player was subbed off.
They didn't play good, Athletico Madrid had it all, they created more chances.

Ralf Rangnick got his lineup wrong. He should not have played Lindelof at Right back. There was no creativity or threat from the Right hand side throughout the first half. He realized the mistake and brought on Wan Bisaka to provide balance. Manchester United were unable to create goal-scoring opportunities or retain possession during the first half and were dominated all round by Atletico Madrid. It was a strong and difficult match, but the team improved in the second half thanks to the changes, most importantly the equalizer. Wonderful performance by Elanga, in fact both teams were taken on the shoulders of two young lad, I'm sure their teams owe them alot of acknowledgement. There is still a fight at Old Trafford.

Pretty happy with this result. Despite not winning and Man United did not have many chances to score. They still have the second leg at Old Trafod that's an advantage. If you look at the match, Athletico played with a lot of offense. In addition, Ronaldo is also in guard, so that he can not move freely. Juventus was very poor and it's disappointing seeing them playing this way,they are the Italian giant the should be demolishing teams like Villarreal in the champions League,I think they have to strengthen their squad in the summer,they are very weak in the midfield department,they need quality in that position and also in attack, Vlahovic is a good signing but they need more, the defence is okay, I heard they are interested in autaro Martinez at inter Milan, I really think is the sort of player they need but I doubt if inter Milan will sale, because they are direct rivals for the title.

Juventus draw, I think is pretty good. They play in Spain and 1 away goal is the provision for the 2nd leg. Actually I thought that Juventus would add more goals, but it turned out they couldn't make the goal and had to concede. If you look at the game, Juventus like satisfied to score one goal. They didn't seem to want to add to the goal therefore they played too relaxed and ended up just a draw. I think they have improved, they are not like the start of the season. This achievement is good enough if they see the start of their season is very unconvincing.

Manchester United are unpredictable indeed. I also didn't appreciate their performance against Atletico Madrid last night. However, they still drew with them in some way. But I still can't count them as advantageous in Old Trafford. Because unless they improve their performance, there is no way they are having a comfortable rematch. Interesting score lines being recorded this far from various games... For example Barcelona proving to be more superior over Napoli is something i didnt expect as i wasn't sure if these guys are finally playing as a team. But otherwise Barcelona so far are holding their lead.

Other game that i didnt anticipate to be below par is the Borussia Dortmund game... these guys seem to continue on a bad run when it comes to champions league football which they struggle alot hope they win convincingly.

I didn't expect Ajax Amsterdam to destroy Benfica to be honest. They might have been the better team, but for teams like Ajax it often turns out to not be that easy to play against Benfica in Portugal in a home game. I know Bayern Munich tore them apart a while ago, but Ajax isn't Bayern Munich. However, I don't really see a big chance for Benfica to a actually beat Ajax in the second leg. They are in top shape in their home stadium and Benfica would need a good portion of luck to eventually win that game.

The next leg will be started next march. This will be very interesting to see some expected clubs to play.
The most games that really attract me for the next leg is
Atletico Madrid vs Man United
and also Real Madrid vs PSG
Two are my favorite games.

I didn't expect Ajax Amsterdam to destroy Benfica to be honest. They might have been the better team, but for teams like Ajax it often turns out to not be that easy to play against Benfica in Portugal in a home game.

But at least, in the next leg, the game will be at Ajax's home. This may have a bigger chance for them to have more motivation. But, if they are under pressure, they may lose their chance again. Benfica is also not an easy team to defeat, be wise to be more careful
