I'm surprised that nobody gives Villarreal a chance against Liverpool.
If I remember this correctly,Unai Emery defeated Liverpool with Klopp at the Europa League 2016 final.
Emery is a pretty clever guy and he knows how to win tournaments.He won 3 Europa League trophies,maybe it's time for him to win the UEFA Champions League.
The semi-final between Man City and Real Madrid is going to be pretty unpredictable.I think that Manchester City is going to win and get to the final.Real Madrid had a solid performance throughout the season,but they rely heavily on Benzema and they will have a hard time,if Benzema gets blocked by the Man City defenders.

Villarreal has a chance, they have already proved it with their victories. There is nothing to argue about. Vporos only in the chances. In the confrontation with Liverpool, they are again outsiders - Liverpool looks too strong, it is difficult to name at least one team now that is guaranteed to be stronger than them. That's why Liverpool are rated as the clear favourites, but if Villarreal gets through then I don't think everyone will be as shocked as when they knocked out Bayern.

There is a reason Villarreal is still competing in the semifinals while the players of Bayern have to watch the tournament from their own homes, it is clear that Liverpool is the favorite to get to the final but they cannot be overconfident when facing the Villarreal squad as this has happened twice already and both Juventus and Bayern were eliminated, however if Villarreal wants to win against Liverpool I do not think they can afford to play defensively, they need to actually try to win the game and attack them otherwise the pressure Liverpool will exert will be too much and they will eventually allow a score or two.

Indeed, Pep is a good Coach with a lot of experience. Manchester City is really blessed having him.  He has also won 3 Premier League trophy, and 1 FA Cup with City. And have intentions of winning the Champions League this season. Although, we shouldn't forget the fact that Liverpool is a strong team, which City can't easily beat. Moreover, the game is open to surprise, I just hope Guardiola doesn't make the same mistake he made in the FA Cup Semi-finals.

Liverpool are fast becoming a real pain to Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp is the first manager to beat him as much as 10 times. Honestly, I think Klopp is actually under appreciated. If not for him, Pep Guardiola would have turned the EPL to farmers league. I think the reason Liverpool beat Manchester City is because they were not with all their first team players.

I really need to congratulate Benfica. They competed in the giants league and reached the quarter-finals, and even though they knew that they would be eliminated by Liverpool, who can be among the top 3 clubs with the most form, they fought until the last moment and contributed to both their country score and their own image. The offside flag was raised 5 times in the match, then two of them were counted as goals again. It was a narrative match for those who are new to football and do not know offside very well. It was that interesting. One of those matches that betting was both easy and difficult.

Benfica really fought hard against Liverpool, they weren't given any chance. Many thought Liverpool was going to run riot against them but they gave Liverpool a proper fight in the second leg. I hope with a better team next season, Benfica should be able to have another historic season. The club should try to consulidate their position in European Football, come back stronger next season and they also have such a marvelous fans.

No doubt Villarreal is not a weak team because they managed to get rid of strong teams like Juventus and Bayern. The problem is that Villarreal
don't always play well. Especially if we look at Villarreal's performance in La Liga not as good as when playing in the Champions League.
Maybe because Villarreal made the Champions League their main focus, if that's true, it's no wonder Villarreal can advance to the semifinals.
But I think it's too difficult for Villarreal to reach the final, moreover their opponent is Liverpool who have an experienced coach with
an extraordinary strategy. My prediction is Villarreal will be eliminated in the semifinals, but at least Villarreal will provide resistance against Liverpool.
It will not be easy for Liverpool to get rid of Villarreal, so it will be an interesting match when Liverpool face Villarreal.

If we focused to see the performance of Villareal in UCL competition only, surely this team deserves to call a big team this season. A big team isn't only determined by the many popular players on the squad, but how the ambition of the team and how good they can show the ambition in each match. In this season, Villareal clearly showed us that they have a big ambition to get high achievement in UCL, even they seem not really care about their position in La Liga.

Manchester City will take this over Real Madrid, but not sure if Villarreal can do over Liverpool.

Truthfully, say about three to four years ago, I never thought I would be saying that I'm really worried about maybe facing Villareal in the UCL semifinals, and that Bayern Munich would have been a much easier tie. It will be detrimental for any Liverpool fan to undermine or underestimate this Villarreal team, Emery have been doing a great job and they deserve to be given the respect. Benzema is key in the Real Madrid vs Manchester City fixture and if Pep can get his boys to withheld the ball there's little or nothing Real Madrid and Benzema can do.

It's natural, I think, that a lot of people nowadays see Real Madrid as more favorites than Man City. Because Real Madrid managed to get rid of
the previous two strong teams, Real Madrid managed to get rid of PSG in the round of 16, even though PSG was strengthened by many star players.
Then after that in the quarter-finals Real Madrid also managed to get rid of Chelsea, which Chelsea was the winner of the Champions League trophy

Agreed, it's not only me who doubts Villareal, because even though they reached the semi-final points it has done them a lot of miracles. Liverpool is a tough club, disciplined and easier to control emotions. So I won't doubt the mentality of the Liverpool players on the pitch. Exactly, because Real Madrid has preformed well from their past matches which will enable them to stand against Liverpool or any team on the final day. I know Benzema to be very active and versatile but when pressure mounted on him much he may not deliver as expected, as you've advise on working closely with Benzema playing strategies since he had the experience to have coach them before, football game may not result into having such strategy work at all, what if they also planned that since much concentration will be on Benzema that they should re-strategize, this time Benzema may not aim to score the goal because of the mounted pressure but rather play the role of goal assist.
