I looked at the odds, what strikes me is that according to the bookmakers Chelsea and Real Madrid have equal chances of winning the match. Given the game picture last week, Real Madrid should still be favorites to win this match as they now also have a home game. I actually thought it would be over and that Madrid would be through to the next round, but apparently Chelsea still have a chance to win here in Madrid, bizarre really. They will need a goal soon. The bookmakers only use the stats to make predictions. Bookmakers are already giving the game to Chelsea like they did in the first leg. Real Madrid managed to beat the host Chelsea in the first leg last.  But this duel wasn't over yet.  Chelsea are still determined to come back and turn the situation around.  Madrid had to fight another 90 minutes to finish their job and get rid of Chelsea.  Victory over Southampton makes Chelsea more confident.  Madrid seems to have to try extra hard if they want to get rid of the team that last season tripped them in the semifinals.  Even though they are seeded, Madrid must remain vigilant in this 2nd leg, a bitter experience Ancelotti has experienced in his career, namely feeling a special comeback from the opposing team.

This is one of the most anticipated Champions League games. I do not believe that Chelsea can realistically threaten Real today in advancing to the next phase of the Champions League. Real are too experienced a team to allow this to happen. Rather, I think the hosts will be in control of the game and counter Chelsea when the opportunity arises. I bet both teams will score today.

Unfortunately, the match has only lasted 15 minutes but Real Madrid have already conceded 1 goal which makes it 3-2 on aggregate now. It's not very good if Chelsea score 2 goals in the first half and I don't want that. I don't expect Real Madrid to be comfortable enough with their lead in the first leg, they have to score and ruined Chelsea's hopes of qualifying.
