If Real Madrid depended so much on Benzema's performance then I believe this season they will not be able to reach the Champions League final. Benzema was the star of Real Madrid's win against PSG in the round of 16, but today Real Madrid will face a completely different team to PSG so victory will be difficult.
Hopefully today's Chelsea vs Real Madrid match will be the most interesting match to watch. For the first leg the result might be a draw, but Chelsea can win at home today if they take advantage of all the opportunities they have.

Ok, I take back everything I said about Real Madrid and Benzema being lucky against PSG. when I saw Real Madrid get beaten by Barcelona by a big margin, I really did not think that they will be able to win against a team like Chelsea.

But obviously, I have been proved wrong. I am never going to doubt Real Madrid anymore when it comes to big stages like the Champions League. But, if we look at the match I think Chelsea gave Real Madrid a lot of space. especially when Real Madrid was coming forward in somewhat of a counterattack situation, it always seemed like Chelsea had a big hole in their Centre back.

Regardless of history or whatever, this was a blow and a trigger for Bayern to bounce back.

I still believe Bayern will qualify for the next round, even though they lost the first leg against Villarreal. Because after all Bayern are more worthy
to qualify for the next round, Bayern is one of the candidates for the team that will win the Champions League trophy. So Bayern will show it
in the second leg by beating Villarreal by a higher score. And I believe Bayern have that ability, because like you said Bayern did have a bad record
when playing in the first leg. Like when they faced Salzburg they only draw in the first leg, and in the second leg surprisingly can win with

Villarreal shocked Bayern Munich by having a solid game against them. They were solid in their defense and offense both. It was just unlucky for them not being able to score more goals in this game. If Villarreal were able to win by at least a two-goal gap, then things were going to be too hard for Bayern Munich. But now, Bayern Munich should be still confident about the second leg. Don't you know Villarreal almost did? I mean the difference of 2 goals. In the 62nd minute Manuel Neuer made a mistake on the pitch and Gerard Moreno almost converted it into a goal, If this error continues in the second leg, I don't believe Bayern Munich will qualify for the next round, and to be honest I would prefer to see Villarreal qualify for the next round.

Of course they should try to anticipate this now, the Salzburg massacre should serve as a reminder and an example for them not to underestimate Bayern and the Alianz Arena will not be crowded with them.

Real Madrid are very deadly at scoring goals especially thanks to Karim Benzema now. He is like a gift to Real Madrid in this season. He has been a goal machine so far and this wouldn't change until the end of the season I believe. He made another hat-trick today and it was unbelievably awesome. Tuchel must be really jealous of Benzema right now.    After they got this huge win by a 3-1 result, I started to think that Real Madrid would finish the incomplete job in Santiago Bernabeu. And I wouldn't be wrong I guess.
