Barcelona's last five seasons have always failed in the quarter-finals, this indicates that they need regeneration and management changes  from coaches, scouts and other staff associated with player transfers. as I thought, the current coach doesn't have the ability to build a team like Rijkaard or Pep. If Barcelona still retains an incompetent coach to lead the team at UCL, then Barcelona will also experience failure in the domestic league.

Bayern have been amazing at building the team. they successfully regenerated despite losing important players. an example of a club that is serious in anticipating the downturn of the club when it is left by an important player.

Bye bye Barcelona. The defeat reminds me about the Brazil defeat in World Cup 2014, in Brazil. Germany years ago and now Bayern, the biggest club in Germany creates another big victory and it is a very shock result. Honestly I have never thought Barca can win against Bayern, just win the second-leg match, not a total win and go to semi final. The problem of Barca has never been fixed since their last title in Champions League with failed transfers in many seasons.

That was really humiliating. Munich's players just seemed to be outperforming barca's in every field. They couldn't keep pace with the Munich's players. Barca is considered a good defense team but their defense seemed non existing. Barca failed to deliver a few chances but mostly it was Bayren trying to go into Barca's post. Bundesliga is much more fast paced than La Liga.

It cant be said in word about the success of Bayern Munich in destroying Barcelona sadistically. During this season Messi and Tie Stegen saved Barcelona many times but this time even they couldn't help.
Barcelona has not played well for a long time and depends to much on Messi.
Even Napoli was close to victory but they were not ready to take what was offered.
Barcelona urgently needs change of system, more reliance on home players, a quality and experienced coach and new management.

I am really not surprised, because of the great contrast between Barcelona and Bayern Munich, one is at the top of their game and possibly their best ever team and the other is a shadow of what -the team was- Barcelona where scrappy and facing Bayern Munich who -OMG are ruthless- was like sending Barcelona to the grave.
It's an embarrassing defeat that would be told years from now, I don't think a top team should allow such, -its normal losing to a side like Bayern Munich, but 8:2 scoreline is an abomination-

This is just crazy stuff, I never seen Barcelona completely slaughtered along the UCL stage.

Just 30 minutes for 4 goal at the first half it was so embarrassing, a crushing defeat that management needs to fix.

That's generally what happens when you're chasing to win. Esp once they were 4-1 down, there was no choice but to go for it. Even when they were 3-0 down to Liverpool, they still thought they could hold on for a draw or maybe snatch a goal on counter but in this one they were forced to commit, and their defence Lenglet especially was already poor. There was no coming back.

Well PSG are hot favorites to reach the final for the first time, since they must now meet "only" Leipzig and they showed they can turn up for a win even though they are shit haha.

Me, I expected to lose (Barca) but I didn't expect another humiliation. Bayern is the favorite to win this one I think. City also, but they cannot ever match Bayern if they played like last night. Barca losing terribly to eventual champions two seasons in a row?

The Brazilians know that feeling   But damn, I didn't expect Bayern to pull it off this year. I whish I had bet more money on Bayern to win. I mean honestly did anyone bet on 8:2 score? What were the odds on that? Definitely a nice game but I really sorry for Barca.

I was very disappointed watching Barca fall like a house of card, such an embarrassing defeat is quite degrading for such a big calibre club like barca all the players didn't live up expectation yestarday I believe the whole team need an overhauling and rebuilding again since the exit of duo Xavi and Iniesta Barca had never been a balanced team recalled in the era of Tiki-Taka, Barca are delightful to watch while playing attacking and possessive football that era had passed, the team needs a new set of young talented players.

This game was a pleasure to watch, finally power and aggression presented against Barcelona. This game was not about tactics as there was no tactics from Barca's side, it was about a mentality and approach of a team that came to take what was theirs. Bayern has individual quality, but they play as a team and have a one track mind.

After first 20 mins I said to my father that this match will be like Germany against Brazil. It was that obvious to me.You could how much more power and determination Bayern squad had.

What I like the most is what Muller said in a post match interview. That it is ok to be a bit happy and that this was a statement indeed, but statement does not mean a thing when next match starts at 0-0.That they are not here to win quarterfinal, they are here to take the final and they need to remain calm and grounded.

The most important thing he said was : We scored 8 today and after you score 8, next matches won't be that easy

That's damn true. After that horrible score, people will expect more on them and their opponents would be more careful. Now Arturo Vidal looks like a clown that said Barca is the world's best team in his interview before the match.

What a score.I thought Barcelona would keep up with Bayern but they conceded 4 goals in just the first half and they were not able to respond.I am impressed by Bayern Munchen that they did not stop even though they were leading by a comfortable 3 goals margin.They are the team to beat now and after this game I think they have the highest chances to win the Champions League this season.

Some Barca players are trolling in the defence sometimes, feel like a team playing football for the first time. But let's not forget that Bayern was so awesome too.
For today game I think City gonna win with +2 goals difference at least. City will try to show it can fits against Bayern in the next round so I assume they will attack from the beginning and a goal in the first 15-20 minutes is likely to happen!
