Any thoughts about qualifiers games on Tuesday and Wednesday? Dynamo - AZ game looks tricky, so I will skip it. Genk is playing so shitty in Belgian league, so I think it's good opportunity to make some money betting on Rapid. If there would be fans in stadium, I would have doubts about PAOK - Benfica game, but now I'm going with Benfica. I'm already looking to Wednesday - I see nice odds for Crvena Zvezda win over Omonia.

I think that this season they will definitely win La Liga!
What is the reason? a dark horse? I don't think any other clubs can compete with Barca and Real today. The gap of quality players is still too big. I don't say that the winning only determines by quality players, but we know well that both Barca and Real really dominate la Liga in any sector. Well, it is not impossible for a surprise but I doubt it as I think Barca and Real have prepared anything to win it next season. Why don't they really become UEFA League champions next season! UEFA League champions is the highest level of football competition in the world. I am not surprised if it is very difficult for a club like Atletico Madrid to win it. I think they have done the best, but to win it they may need luck factors or start to build the team with more top players. Regarding the current quality players on Atletico, I doubt if they will win UEFA League champions next season, mate. Sorry!!

Any thoughts about qualifiers games on Tuesday and Wednesday? <...>
i'm backing Benfica today My pick: The Eagles brought Jorge Jesus back into the team, they spent a lot of cash in transfers (keep an eye on Everton, good player) and overall they are the better team, kinda hard for me to ignore those odds edit* i hope Porto win the portuguese league title this season (:

Barca is in a blip and for me I personally expect them to bounce back this very season so I will be looking for good value bets on Porto and Barca in Europe. Sorry about Benfica... I've no idea how to bet on tonight's games so I'll pass...

I agree with you. The best example is probably Atletico Madrid. They don't have super players like Real or Barcelona but they have a system and their philosophy that they follow for years and that's why they are always on top and have results.
I think Simeone has taken them as far as he can. Their negative style doesn’t give them a good chance of winning the big trophies. An attacking team usually wins the CL & their domestic league. The last time they won La Liga was 2013/14 season & they have 0 CL titles. They also do spend big on players, Joao Felix was £113,000,000 & Morata was £58,000,000 but = 0 trophies.

I agree, i think real madrid and ronaldo broke simeone at UCL. although their recent performance in UCL is quite bad but Simeone has taken them far, now they are a UCL regular and one of top clubs right now. Their attack is the problem right now, costa is declining and i don't think morata is dependable as the main striker. If they can sort their attack then they will have a chance at the league this season.

Last three years was the last season for Atletico Madrid to qualify for the Champions League final, but in the final they had to be defeated by their city team Real Madrid. I think Simione always gets really bad results against Real Madrid in the Champions League, before last Final simione have got lost from Real Madrid with score 4 - 1 and keep continue to get bad result after lost again in Final, Ronaldo become bad think for simione and this season will give stronger for Simione to show how their team will talk more in UEFA champion league.

I agree with you. It was the closest they got and would get for a long time. They got really close back then but, it wasn't their fault as they were playing with one of the best team with Ronaldo and Zidane have their eyes primarily set on the league title.

Dinamo from Croatia lost in Hungary and continues to compete in the EL. Another bad game of a club that was very close last season to pass the group stage of the CL and after the departure of the best Olmo and the coach again become an average club.

yeah, Dinamo is out, and Crvena Zvezda Belgrade as well, they both had good competitors and away matches, so did not go through i would not say that these clubs are now average, maybe Europa League is better matches for their quality, and they could pass group stage and make something this spring nevertheless, think that both teams are out due to one-game kick-off stage that took place for Champion leagues qualifier, and that home ground, although without audience, is a good advantage for home teams in international matches on this competition level, one should bear that in mind in betting on this congrats to Ferencvaros and Omonia

Aha I see now it was just the semi final qualifiers but still they Ferencvaros have already secured a ticket to at least Europa League groups.

yeah, it is, but they now have a match with Molde, which is great chance for both teams to see Champions league group stage, since they did not participated in group stages so far Ferencvaros actually played in Europa league group stage last year (finished third in a group), and Dinamo Zagred kick-out them from Champions league qualifying, if i remember correctly it was last stage last year, they fought for Champions league group stage, or that was the same round as this year it seems that draw like to join them in qualifying rounds

that's exactly what I was talking about about Messi.. cycles are closed and you have to start from scratch with new people, with young and fresh people it is useless to insist on the past, which may have been glorious but is in fact the past! need you have to constantly rebuild.. and create glorious cycles

Furthermore at times I also feel that Simone has failed to develop that winning mentality, and therefore Atletico should consider hiring a new coach if they really wish to win the champions league.

all true what you say but football is also a sport that makes you dream, just look at the history of Leichester.. and football is the kind of sport that lends itself to crazy results, we always remember that a few years ago greece won the european championship

Cycles are a fact of life and it's not so much about scrapping Messi away but it is about time to keep the young blood in and keep the old guys to teach the young ones how to play with the same motivation and spirit. Youth is always hungry, and old is always wise. You need both, never one or the other.

Yeah, i watched the entire match of course and you can clearly see how the coach is the missing link. If you look at it objectively Dinamo is not that much weaker after Olmo left, but it is severed in coaching department significantly after Bjelica left. I see that mostly in organizational department on the pitch, players move and act more chaotic, with no clear lines when they are defending. Also a change in approach and mentality in players is palpable. They are back to looking like scared kids instead of hungry motherf..rs on the pitch. Tough time ahead for sure.
