Actually, Liverpool had a lot more chances to go further ahead in the match but they could not convert those chances into goals. Both Sadio Mané and Salah had some clear chances but they failed to convert.
Anyway, they have played really well in the first leg and with the two-goal lead, they will be in a really comfortable place in the second leg against Villarreal. I don't expect them to lose from this situation.

I don't think expecting Villareal in the final is reasonable, it's a futile hope because there was nothing good about their performance except just a good defence.  As most say, Liverpool are favorites to the final although Villareal have a chance to improve their performance in the second leg. But to be honest, I don't think Villareal will be good in the final.

For me Villereal dosent stand a chance . Their football is all based on defence they tried that in Enfield aswell and that didnt work. Villarreal were a disgrace yesterday, in fact I think they were exposed by Liverpool. They are not good as previous games made them look, just because they have been able to beat teams with a big name doesn't mean they are good. Villarreal previous games in this season champion's league was a fluke, beating one of the worst Juventus teams in years and a Bayern Munich team who are playing their worst football in years is like saying a win against this present Manchester United is special.

Real Madrid were really bad at defending their opponent in both halves. Manchester City didn't have much problem on finding the chances they were looking for. After doing the same against Chelsea, I would have expected a more durable Real Madrid in this one. But still they succeeded in not getting far behind their opponent in terms of score. Real Madrid really played Manchester city in the first half that made the match 0-0 which was seriously causing fear to the mind of Manchester city fans that predicted that the match will end up 4-0 in the first half.  But Real Madrid coach refuse to make some changes early in the second half that gave the Manchester city to embraced their opportunity to defeated Real Madrid 2-0 for the first leg. For me, i foresee an all England final. Yes there could be some surprise as the second leg. I doubt if the Madrid game can be overturned. Man city has a very solid team although some injuries like walker but then cancelo is a beast. Madrid lost at the Santiago  to Chelsea if not for the result of the first play they’ll been out and If we can agree City’s team will outrun Chelsea  so winning at the bernebeu wouldn’t be much of an issue to City.. Lets not forget  Pep is so desperate to lay his hands on that trophy once more having lost to Chelsea at the finals last season..

Manchester City and Liverpool are favourites, but of course you can't ignore Real Madrid. I believe Manchester City are good candidates to be in the final but if Liverpool are the opponent it is always difficult to predict who will win.

But now discussing the final seems too far away especially as these teams will still play the second leg on 4-5 may so there is always an unexpected possibility about the outcome. I just hope Liverpool and Manchester City end up making it to the final regardless of who wins the title.
