I am wondering how will Hiro price looks during this BTC price drop ...
Like most coins, terrible. BC seems to be the only coin looking strong, still irritates me I sold those coins in the 3k's. I'm sure it will dump at some point, and the fall will be a long one.

Security Update - 0.8.6.2 Due to the vulnerability in discovered in OpenSSL we are releasing updated clients built with the latest version of OpenSSL which is patched against the 'Heartbleed' flaw. You are only vulnerable if you use the rpcssl option from the command line option. Bitcoin GUI users of the payment request feature on 0.9 were exposed to this vulnerability but this does not apply to us as this feature is disabled in our release. In addition to this fix, Mac now has QR code support and shows the version clearly in the about window. Download the updated 0.8.6.2 client from the Official Hirocoin Download page.

All.
I wish you all the best for the future, but I'm sad to say I've decided to sell my (small) investment in HIRO. I'm only posting this as advice to other investment holders, as previously I've stated I believed in HIRO but unfortunately that's just no longer the case.
I've seen my investment decline to only 1/3 of it's original value, and I've no reason to believe the decline will stop. It's already in the 600s on Poloneix (668 Polo, 711 MintPal) I stopped mining a long time ago for the same reason. A pity because I LOVE the X11 algo, and it's quiet/cool/lowWatt nature.
I've seen nothing which would prevent a fall to around 200 or 100, or even worse, in the 10's, rendering my investment worthless.
Hopefully the plan succeeds, and Hiro becomes "The GPU Miners Coin", but I'm just not seeing it myself. Others may think otherwise and I respect that, this coin does have a good chance of succeeding, but just not good enough for me.
What could have been done better? While I can see some action from the developers on technical matters, there has been zero action in regards to marketing and other promotion. I see that as the failure of this coin. If I was a cynic I would say that the efforts of HiroS and Joerii have simply kept as many people holding as possible, only delaying the inevitable, perhaps to their advantage. Still, I'm not sure what could realistically be done in the current market anyway.
I can say I have been impressed with HiroS's continued technical development of the coin, and there is fair evidence that he does actually believe in it.
In any case, I wish you all the best, and good luck. I'll be keeping an eye on Hiro over the next few months still - I may even buy back in at some point in the future.

Gotta hold at these prices, HIRO will find a comfortable seating at 4500 Satoshi when the BTC market finds its bottom and rises again. Then a steady rise to 10000 Satoshi over the following months. My speculation, but totally reasonable IMHO.

You people really now nothing about trading and investments. NEVER sell when the market is this low, NEVER. Just turn your PC and go somewhere, do not look at the exchanges for a few days at all. BTC related volatility and price decrease took place several times so far and EVERY time bunch of people reacted the same way - no patience to get through it and end up buying high and selling low. Sigh.......good luck bud.

You people really now nothing about trading and investments. NEVER sell when the market is this low, NEVER. We're not talking about semi-proven investments - bitcoin, litecoin. We're talking about a altcoin (of which there are many) which is barely a month old and has plummeted straight down. In fact, I quote you in this very same thread: Only 10 active buy orders on Mintpal, I am really trying to be positive about this but it does not look bright.

We're talking about a altcoin (of which there are many) which is barely a month old and has plummeted straight down. In fact, you could say exactly the same thing about every other altcoin that's clearly dead or dying. Why not buy them? Your point could relate to BTC and LTC as well. Bunch of people bought it when it was $1200 and lots of these guys sell it now when it is under $400. My answer is still the same, NEVER sell when the market is going down. In a couple of months, all most of these alts ll go back, BTC will go to over $1200 and the only ones who ll end up losing money are panic sellers. Why? Because cryptos are the FUTURE and X11 is a great advance within crypto world. This same pattern of high volatility was present with BTC and LTC when they were at this stage and look at them now. Do you really think cryptos are going to die this year and we are gonna be left only with BTC and LTC? Anyway, I respect you opinion, do not agree with you, but I really wish you a good luck and I am sorry to hear you have decided to leave crypto.
