No, not really. Bairstow performed exceptionally well under the new regime (Stokes +Baz) and he was instrumental in their success but he never had any sort of success in India and so far completely failed with the bat. In his last 11 tests in India, he has a mediocre average of 25-ish. They are still backing him tho.

Now the condition have again changed due to the fact that ball is no longer new. Joe Root who hasn't scored in this series is looking comfortable and might get to his half century. The partnership between Floakes and Root is slowly progressing well which is a good sign for England. If they lose another wicket now the they will be in trouble. Deep has been brought back into the attack now.
