@Sithara007 I sincerely doubt that ICC will make any changes that favour Afghanistan or dramatically reduce benefits for Bangladesh even post this defeat nothing really will change. Furthermore this loss might be a nice wake-up call for Bangladesh and hopefully they can start working on their plans better because they need to improve quickly or they’ll continue losing.

Despite both the teams being full members, ICC has a significantly higher fund allocation for Bangladesh, when compared to Afghanistan. But if they perform like this, then there will be questions raised by the other member nations. And they lost the series to Afghanistan while playing at home. What will happen if they perform under SENA conditions? Fortunately they were not asked to participate in the ODI World Cup qualifiers. If they had participated in that tournament, then I am sure that they would have struggled against teams like Scotland and the Netherlands.

I think we can agree that Bangladesh is going through a rough patch. Bangladesh is a better performance compared to what they have shown in this ODI series against Afghanistan. Bangladesh has a lot of different problems going on in the cricket board. But we have to say Afghanistan did show good performance away from home. So there should not be any excuse from the ICC to not give them bigger funding.  But I actually know that ICC is going to give the excuse of Afghanistan being controlled by the Taliban or Afghanistan not having a proper political situation right now. But those are not acceptable, to be honest.

1st ODI match between England women team vs Australia women team was played yesterday although I didn't watch the full live broadcast of the match but I was taking regular updates of the game and today when I see the final updates of the game I was a little surprised that England won because Australia is more likely to win the first ODI match. As long as I was watching the updates of the game but in the end came England won by two wickets with 2 overs in hand. Australia women's bowlers failed to take wickets against England towards the end which is the main reason why Australia lost this match. While i couldn't catch the live broadcast but keeping up with the regular updates must have been exciting. The outcome might have been unexpected but England emerged victory won by 2 wickets and chased down the 263 runs with 11 balls remaining. I was mentioning about the disparity in funding. The funding from ICC should be proportional to the performance of the team. And Bangladesh should be at the bottom, since they have been performing poorly for the last two decades. How can you justify the fact that fund allocation for Bangladesh is more than that of South Africa? And it's not like they were playing with a second string squad. Most of their regular players were available for Bangladesh. And also they had the home advantage, although it was neutralized by the fact that Afghanistan do have some good spinners.

Bangladesh has never performed consistently ever since they received full member status in 1999. So it has nothing to do with ""rough patches"". In this case, their rough patch is ongoing for 24 years

Cannot agree with that to be honest. Because I will say that Bangladesh was very consistent during the period when Mashrafe Mortaza was the captain of Bangladesh. I will say between 2014-2019, Bangladesh was quite successful. But again because of the politics in the Bangladesh cricket board, Mashrafe Mortaza was removed from captaincy. Once again Bangladesh started performing badly.

Coming to the Afghanistan cricket board, if they do not participate in women's competitions, due to religious regions, the ICC should take this into consideration, and suspending the ACB is no solution.

This is not a valid reason. Most of the global sports bodies are refusing to work with Afghanistan, ever since Taliban took over. ICC is an exception to this, as there is strong support to the Taliban regime from the BCCI as well as the Indian government. Having a functional women's team is one of the basic criteria for applying for full member status. Afghanistan was given full member status before they fulfilled this criteria. Now it is time for them to work on women's cricket, failing which the ICC should ask them to forfeit the funding. If Pakistan and Bangladesh can have women's teams, then I don't understand the issue for Afghanistan.

This is the same argument as “if the West can allow gay marriages why is it a problem for the others?”
Some people live by their rules and morality, which they are not ready to sacrifice at any cost. And that’s simply the reason why they do not want to make a women's team. Every organization talks about freedom and free speech. Why cannot Afghanistan have the freedom to not have a women’s team and compete as a full member of the ICC?

You consider Bangladesh's performance in the last one year and expect South Africa's performance. In the last year, Bangladesh has improved a lot in their cricket and one more thing is very important that besides Bangladesh Spain bowling, fast bowling and batting have improved in all aspects, they have not taken any home advantage in the maximum series of the home series they have played. It has done very well which may be the reason why the financial fund of Bangladesh is shown more than that of South Africa. In the last Super League organized by the ICC to qualify for the World Cup, Bangladesh was ranked number three, which means Bangladesh was ranked ahead of India.
