Sri Lanka will take advantage of UAE's weak bowling but it is only natural that Sri Lanka was a popular team at one time maybe because of the points table or net run rate they have to play the World Cup qualifiers. However, Sri Lanka did a fantastic performance against UAE in today's match and set a target of 356 runs. The target of 356 is impossible for UAE at the moment as they have lost 4 wickets for 100 runs.
Sri Lanka and West Indies have been top in terms of popularity in the past but they have to play qualifiers to qualify.

It was very expected, and also very understandable. How Sri Lanka was able to absolutely dominate the match against UAE. And I knew that UAE did not have any chance against Sri Lanka. Doesn’t matter how bad Sri Lanka is performing. Sri Lanka and West Indies are expected to qualify for the World Cup.

A lot of people had doubts about Sri Lanka and West Indies considering the fact that the performance has not been very consistent. But after this type of performance from Sri Lanka, I will say that if Sri Lanka can continue performing like this, they are not going to have any problems. I don’t know about West Indies though. But they are the favorites with Sri Lanka to qualify.

After impressive batting display by all top order batting line-up, Hasaranga bowled career best bowling spell and give his team thumbing first win of this event which is surely expected because of their experience and quality even mostly are youngsters but doing good job for the future.

All batsmen from top order have their best in this match, and we have four fifties and blitzing inning from Charith Asalanka who smashed 48 on 23 balls which helps Sri Lanka for having target of 355 which was never been easy to chase for the team like the UAE but Hasaranga give them no space and have 6 for 24 which is his career best in ODI and big win for his team of 175 runs.

I think Sri Lanka has a chance to win today's match. We know that Sri Lanka is a much stronger team than United Arab Emirates team. But if United Arab Emirates can bat first and perform well in bowling, then today's match with Sri Lanka team is very good.  It will be a tight fight. I think Sri Lanka will play very well in this match and will win the match today.

That's true and I also think that Sri Lanka has advantage over UAE's team, and they could possibly win the match. The current score of Sri Lanka is over 292, and they still have 4 more hours for scoring even higher runs in this match. I don't think that team UAE will be able to cross the score because they don't have many good batsman who could score higher than that. We should also keep in mind that Sri Lankan team has some good bowlers in their team who won't let UAE players to score higher runs. Let's see what will be the result of the match, and currently the odds are in the favor of Sri Lanka team.

At the end of the first innings against the United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka managed to score 355 runs for six wickets in 50 overs. In other words, to win this match, UAE must score more than 7 runs in each over, which is very difficult for a team like United Arab Emirates. If UAE could have bowled under control then they would have had some chance of winning but UAE will never win on this huge target. That's why I said don't win because Sri Lanka has several professional spins who can destroy the batting line-up of United Arab Emirates at any moment.  

Now there is an innings break and in a short time, United Arab Emirates will take the field to chase the target of 356 runs against Sri Lanka.

Finally the match is over and Sri Lanka team got huge victory against UAE team. They won the match by 175 runs and that's a disastrous loss for UAE team. UAE team is quite new and immature to play against other teams and they can't win a team like Sri Lanka with their current team members. Ali Nasser and Vriitya Aravind are some of the good batsman of the UAE team, but other players aren't that good in batting and that's one of the reasons of their loss. The UAE team will need a lot more experience to win against tough teams like West Indies and Sri Lanka, but I believe that within few years they will have many good players. And, after that they might compete well against teams like West Indies and Sri Lanka, and other good team.

I don't think it will be a tough task for Sri Lanka to qualify for the World Cup. I have seen the performance of the players in their last few series. There are several talented players in the squad. However, the players are not able to consistently perform well. However, the Sri Lankan players performed brilliantly against Afghanistan. A win against the likes of Oman, Ireland, and UAE is expected to be easy for an experienced team like Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan players will show dominance against Oman in the next match.

Sri Lanka is a good team but not a very good team but they have managed to collect huge runs against a weak team like UAE. losing a match by 175 runs in a match like ODI is a sign of too weakness. UAE lose most of their matches so losing today's match against Sri Lanka is not new for them. today's match was a boring match because ending the match with such a long run gap cannot be considered as a good match.

Oman is chasing the target in a very comfortable and confident way. For Ireland it is Dockrell's 91* runs helped the team reach good score of 281 runs. For Oman starting from the opener there is good contribution. Oman requires another 22 runs from 30 balls with 5 wickets in hand. Three players have contributed with half centuries. The World Cup qualifier matches were really interesting as teams are performing really well and beyond the expectation.

Oman won this match and i would say it was an upset as Ireland is a much better team and I never heard of Oman cricket team before.  The way they chase 281 runs was remarkable. In the Ireland innings I thought that George Dockrell played a match winning innings of 91 runs but not to be.
Oman batsmen collectively played a much composed innings and each of their batsmen scored around 50+ runs and made sure that they reach the target.

I absolutely agree. I also think that this is actually an upset. I never thought Ireland was going to lose against Oman. When I saw Ireland, giving a target of 282 to Oman I thought it is over for Oman because they are not going to reach that total at all. But I was wrong. It was a great performance from Oman to actually win the match. An unbelievable chase from them.

If we look at the scorecard, we will see that Ireland did have a feel better individual score, but on the other hand, almost all of the batsmen from Oman contributed to the win that they got. In the end, they reached the target quite comfortably. Congratulations to them for this very important win. I thought if Ireland was able to perform well in this qualifier, probably they will be able to attract the eyes of the ICC and they will probably get more serious about Ireland in the future. But things have started pretty badly for Ireland.

Absolutely right. It was one of the best performances I have seen recently from Sri Lanka. But I think it does not matter to some extent because it was against the UAE. They will have to prove themselves against bigger and better opponents in the World Cup.

I know that they certainly deserve credit for their performance. But I don’t know if we should be praising them as much as we are for this type of dominating performance against a team like the UAE. Sri Lanka have started well in this tournament. Let’s see if they can continue performing like this in future matches as well.

Absolutely right. It was one of the best performances I have seen recently from Sri Lanka. But I think it does not matter to some extent because it was against the UAE. They will have to prove themselves against bigger and better opponents in the World Cup.

This was bound to happen sooner or later. Teams like Oman, USA and UAE are packed with former first class players from India and Pakistan. These guys have decades of experience in playing against some of the best in the word. Ireland and the associate teams don't have this luxury and simply can't compete against them. Cricket is moving towards a complete domination by South Asia. Either it is going to be the 5 South Asian nations, or teams that are comprised of South Asians such as Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

UAE did not perform very well in this regard as the bowling of Sri Lanka team performed very well. Although the UAE are a little less strong than Sri Lanka, this huge win is a credit to Sri Lanka in the current season. Although the UAE performed well in the powerplay, they could not score good runs on any wicket later on. If these two batsmen Basil Hammed and Mustafa could have collected a little better runs, the team would have lost but there would not have been a huge run gap. I would say UAE needs a bit more experience because to perform against a strong team definitely requires experience and experienced bowling.

Zimbabwe beat Nepal by a huge margin of 8 wickets in their first match and today is the second match for Zimbabwe if they win today they will be the group champions and qualify for the next round. The chances of Zimbabwe winning today against Netherlands are very high. Because Zimbabwe has shown great skill in batting and bowling in the last match. Nepal will face USA in another match of the day. USA and Nepal have played one match each before but they have played one match and lost 1 match. They have no choice but to win today's match to secure the next round. I want Nepal ahead in today's match against USA.

These two matches already been started. Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bowl first and now Netherlands team is playing and made 61 runs in 10 overs. Run rate is going well now. Can't predict now. Let see.

If we talk about second match. Nepal won the toss and elected to the bowl first. And United States of America is playing  and the performance is really bad USA gave 4 wickets to Nepal with in 10 overs and made only 19 runs. Here Nepal is looking more strong and 90% chances that the Nepal will win the match.

Netherlands though are very cautious in terms of wickets at the moment but are not able to collect a very good run. However, if the wicket is under control, there is definitely a possibility of scoring good runs.Opening batsman Vikramjit singh, if he can stay on the field patiently, then there is a possibility of scoring a century. In this case Zimbabwe is showing good bowling performance but batting and bowling line is stronger than Netherlands. Because of Zimbabwe's reputation in the past, Sikandar Raja picked up two wickets and conceded 33 runs in seven overs. And if the Netherlands can hold on to the end, there is certainly a chance of over 300 runs.

Netherlands is performing well in batting.If they can play like this then Netherlands can collect good runs today. Zimbabwe is not doing very well in bowling.
