Nepal loves cricket a lot, and more and more people are getting excited about it. While relatively new to the world cricket, recently got chance to showcase their skills at prestigious events- Asia Cup 2023. However, their opponents both India and Pakistan are known for their high level of cricket. When you arrive at the international stage, even if they are very strong, you should always aim for bigger and better things. There is no limit of any dream, so let's play for the win. This team has the potential to join the top leagues of the ICC, but this will require perfect planning and a focused approach. With proper guidance and support, their cricket can go higher eventually.

I believe in the Asia Cup Nepal is going to aim for at least one win against a big team. Imagine Nepal winning a match against India . That is going to give them huge motivation for going forward. I also believe that ICC should really think about giving them more money than they are giving right now. Among all the associate nations I believe, is the most deserving of ICC funds, because Nepal does not have foreign players in the team as far as I know. So if Nepal improves in cricket, it is actually going to be a genuine improvement.

Nepal can definitely improve in cricket because they have the will power to improve. They have taken a lot of hard work and a lot of challenges just to improve in this cricket. And this season of Asia Cup they have qualified. Nepal can only dream of defeating a team like Pakistan in the Asia Cup. If Nepal can beat teams like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh in ODI matches in Asia Cup then their confidence will increase a lot and they will be more motivated to move forward. As a small team, I expect Nepal to perform well in the Asia Cup.

I don't think that Nepal team good enough to compete and win against Pakistan and India teams because they have more experience on the ground and the both countries have very good teams with some very talented players. I must say that Nepal team has shown great performance in previous ODI matches, but they're still not good to secure victory against team India or Pakistan.

I'm excited to see their performance in upcoming match against West Indies because I think they will have tough time against that team. However, I'm still confident that they will try their best against West Indies. The West Indies team is more experienced as compare to Nepal team, but I still hope best for the team Nepal.

There are some countries in cricket who have played for ages but not been able to change their status. However, considering Nepal from that point, they have been able to quickly change their position which is reflected in their performance. There are some batsmen in the Nepal team if they perform good the Nepal become a great opponent against any big team. Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Sheikh, Gyanendra Malla, Kushal Malla and some other batsmen who are likely to do well.

Even I am not having high hopes for the Nepal as much because most probably they will also go through like we have Bangladesh and Sri Lanka because they are also having few domestic difficulties and finances are also the biggest problem for them with ICC is also not doing as much which is another problem for the many countries but as they have few quality youngsters things can go good hopefully in near future we will have any change in policy for the Asian countries which bring good teams at better place because Asian cricket need the good number of countries which will surely increase their fan base and their finances will be also increased which will help them for doing better in their domestic setup as well.

Now Finally the Asia Cup is going to be held and will more interesting because we are looking a new team entry. I am talking about Nepal team. I don't know how it will perform but I am hoping a good performance from Nepal team. Not sure it will go to Final or not but will perform well.
And in the group B teams Sri Lanka team is looking more strong as compare to Afghanistan and Bangladesh. But we can't underestimate these two teams too.

Afghanistan is only good in T20 format, they are playing a test right now and there performance in that test is miserable. The Asia Cup is in ODI format (may be because ODI world cup is ahead) and only a genuine side can perform well in ODI fromat.
It's first time I am seeing Nepal playing a major tournament along with teams like Pak and IND. It will boost there confidence for next ICC tournaments. Nepal will also play a qualifying round for ODI WC.

Yes, it is true. The best cricket format for Afghanistan is the T20 format. In the ODI format, they are decent. But in the test format, they play quite badly. Right now Bangladesh versus Afghanistan is going on. Afghanistan has scored 106 runs at the loss of seven wickets. They need 556 more to win the match. This is looking like pretty much impossible for Afghanistan. The performance of Bangladesh has certainly improved.

Nepal will probably not be able to do much in the Asia Cup, and also the World Cup because it is going to be played in ODI format. I would have expected something from them if it was t20 format.

Don't you think the current match performance from Nepal is upset in itself as they have scored 164 runs without losing any wickets? The opener Kushal Bhurtel is playing at 92 supported by Aasif Sheikh who is not out at 62. I did not expect this performance by the Ireland batsmen against a stronger team like Zimbabwe.

Since only two teams will qualify for the world cup, each and every match is important and no team can relax in this qualifying round.

Nepal scored a competitive total and for a moment i thought it would be a hard chase for Zimbabwe but once they started their innings those doubts were put to rest and they are cruising to victory as Craig Ervine is still in the crease scoring a century and the partnership between Sean Williams who is on 84 took the match away from Nepal.
As expected West Indies will be winning against USA as they lost their 6th wicket and the target is impossible to reach.

And the important thing is that experience plays a very important role in these series. Players need to be confident. But Nepali players are not very experienced. And so I see little possibility that Nepal will play well this season on a platform like Asia Cup. Also, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are in good form now.

Nepal is a very young team. Their captain (Rohit Paudel) is just 20 years old. Then there are several other players in their early 20s, such as Dipendra Singh Airee, Kushal Bhurtel, Bhim Sharki and Aasif Sheikh. Their star player Sandeep Lamichhane is just 22 years old. And then they have a few players who are still in their teens, such as Gulsan Jha, Kushal Malla and Arjun Saud. Whatever experience they gain from the two tournaments (2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier and the 2023 Asia Cup) will be useful for them in the future.

Nepal will need some experience. Without experience, they are not going to be able to beat the teams which are better than them. But if this team goes forward without having too many changes in the squad for at least three years now, I think they will be a good team in the future. But right now expecting anything from them is not the best expectation to have. They are young and energetic. With proper funding and coaching, they will be able to go a long way.

One of the reasons why the Nepali team is improving so fast is that the people of their country have been very interested in cricket since long. So they found some very talented players. Nepal has several talented players in its squad. However, they still lack experience. I watched Nepal match against Zimbabwe. The performance of Nepal's batsmen was quite good. But their bowlers are not playing well enough. As a result, Zimbabwe reached the target with the loss of just 2 wickets. Hope Nepal can find out its problems very soon. And will be able to quickly build the team stronger.

There is no doubt this was impressive display of batting from Nepal with having very good start of 171 even Asif Shaikh was slow which hurt them but still this was dream start for them in this event which will give them good confidence for the future with this start and batting I was expecting nearly 325 to 330 but due to some slow batting they were not able to do this.

After having this target 290 their bowling were not as expected which is surely concern for them specially their main bowler Sandeep Lamichane having worst figures in this match 77/0 which also hurt them badly but still I am feeling impressive because most of the players are young and have long way to go which is surely going to be helpful for them in near future.

Though Nepal scored 290 but 164-run partnership from Williams and Ervine helped their team reach the target so easily and beat Nepal. Despite suffering a loss, Nepal had several positive sides such as 171 first wicket partnership and others. They have good with batting, but they must work on improving their bowling skills. Today's two matches on first day of ODI World Cup qualifiers with first match was play between Zimbabwe vs Nepal and second match was between the USA vs West Indies both matches were one-sided affair with both heavyweights done good job even in second match West Indies were in trouble as they lost two quick wickets, but after this have good recovery through all their experienced middle order which helps them for having decent target on board 297 is surely not easy for the team like the USA, but they have also done good job and half century from the Gajanand Singh which end on 101 not out hopefully things could be better for the both teams in next matches as well.

Nepal was also fortunate that Zimbabwe conceded 22 extra runs. Otherwise, the match was going to be over far earlier. I think Nepal actually underestimated the capability of Zimbabwe. If Zimbabwe can keep this type of performance going, I think they might have a chance to qualify for the World Cup.

Zimbabwe victory over Nepal was nothing short of remarkable with an impressive performance by Craig Ervine leading the way. His outstanding century of 121 runs not only secured the win but also earned him the well-deserved title of Player of the Match. Partnered with Williams their remarkable 164-run partnership effortlessly propelled Zimbabwe towards their target ultimately triumphing by 8 wickets. While Nepal showcased their strength in batting their bowling skills require further development. Nonetheless they exhibited positive aspects such as a commendable 171-run first-wicket partnership. As we eagerly await Nepal's upcoming match against West Indies, it is crucial for them to remain proactive in their pursuit of improvement and progress

Zimbabwe team lost two wickets, and those two wickets fell at good score. This had kept Zimbabwe ahead of Nepal, and then both the players stood wicket and continued to score. Centuries coming out of both the batsmen is really impressive and needed one at that time. Zimbabwe would've got more confidence after the big win with two players scoring century. If Zimbabwe were able to continue its performance this way, surely it is one among the team to enter World Cup through the qualifier Cup.
