SMB is not letting JMF go, they’re still a strong team. The only issue is their team play, which isn’t as good as TNT and Ginebra right now.

I actually miss the old SMB dynasty with Arwind Santos and Cabagnot, they were dominant and kept winning back-to-back championships. But ever since CJ Perez joined, their offense changed, and their defense hasn’t been as solid, even with Coach Leo back at the team already.

There’s so much news on facebook right now, like JMF getting traded to Converge and Kai Sotto joining the PBA Draft. For sure, these are just April Fools' posts. That’s why I’ll just wait until tomorrow to read properly and see if there’s actually any legit news.

Haha, you've said it. They're just april fools posts by those fan page owners. They're not actually legit and after this day, all of those will be removed or an added "sarcasm" post will be on them. That is the reason why I don't believe that there's going to be trades that are going to be not in favor of those mother teams where JMF has come from and for Kai, I don't think he'll play in the PBA soon. Maybe when he's older, he'll probably do it when no offers are given to him offshore.

Speaking of CJ Perez, i've noticed lately that his numbers were diminishing as he was not playing like he was playing like the first year when he was with the Beermen, is there something wrong with him?

There was a rumor before the  finals end that CJ Perez will be traded to another team, but i hope not.
Cj is a good player and a superstar in the league.  There is so much in the bench that can be trade for a high valuie player in returen.
about his performance, it is part of the game that he will reduce his minutes because of the Import. You can see him again this upcoming tournament for the SMB.

Dude’s a certified clutch player, great at handling the ball, and draws so much defense, which actually works perfectly for someone like JMF. I mean, Romeo even won a Finals MVP, so you know he’s legit. The only thing is, maybe SMB got tired of waiting for him to fully heal since he’s been injury-prone in the past years.

Lassiter? Yeah, he's a great three-point shooter but honestly not making that big of an impact anymore. Getting older and inconsistent these days. Terrence Romeo's different though, dude can create his own shot, draws defenders... Just give him decent minutes and he'll bounce back. Problem is SMB traded him AND Manuel together.

Now SMB's left with barely any veterans, and even Fajardo isn't as dominant as before. They're really falling off, and looks like TNT and Ginebra are the top teams now.

Maybe yes or maybe there's someone bigger behind the scene who doesn't like him, just saying though but it's a done deal and there's no turning back now for him, he needs to move on and if he still wants his name be recognize he needs to play harder with his new team, well I guess for my idol PBA is a done deal, getting out from both MVP and SMC mother team means that there's no room now for him to return to whatever teams these two most influencial team inside PBA.

Let see if he'll going to play as if I understand this is the last year of his contract which still handled by SMB and after this it's in the hand of Terrafima if they'll going to offer the same contract that he got or if they'll going to let him go.

Agree to that in regards with Lassiter, getting old and getting hard time making his own shots as defense is not giving him space anymore, unlike with TR7 if given decent minutes he'll provide decent numbers, though like what I mentioned all done he's already been traded and there's nothing he can do to turn that opportunity back on his favor.

No loyalty just pure business, you've been paid for such amount to provide your best and after that, then the managements will just let you go..

Before it was the best teams that many of the PBA players want to stay, SMB, Ginebra but now, we're seeing who's better at handling their players until retirement. Poor Terrence Romeo, he's almost there but because of the injury, his career is nowhere to be seen now.

This was after the Leo Austria-coached squad acquired NorthPort Batang Pier young athletic big JM Calma in a deal that was approved by the league today.

Calma, the Batang Pier’s sixth overall pick in the Season 47 Rookie Draft from San Sebastian College-Recoletos, is currently recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear that he suffered in April 2024.

Honestly, I'm not surprised Meralco pulled off the comeback as this team has that same never-say-die spirit as Ginebra. They’ve shown they can lock in defensively and go on massive runs when it matters most.

I checked the PBA website and saw there were already games yesterday. And today, there’s another one: NLEX vs. SMB. This looks like it’ll be a good match! Is this part of the All-Filipino Cup already?

Yes they're back again and the Philippine Cup started on the 4th of April.
Of course, the teams that we will be seeing to play on the first weeks of the conference will be those eliminated teams like those farming teams.

I had the time to watch the NLEX Vs. SMB yesterday, and SMB won by I think 9 points. Am I the only one that feel bored whenever I watch elimination games? I mean there are no crowd at all, and it's like you're watching 2 teams that are playing on a court where they rented privately, then they just hired commentators, referees, etc. I guess the only time games will be enjoyable will be during the playoffs, eh? Or it's only me that has that kind of feeling. Still, I will watch SMB games from here after.
