There hasn't been an announcement for a single big transfer so far. It has nothing to do with Real Madrid having no money. They are all waiting and checking what the realty looks like on the transfer market this year. I am sure they will announce one big one very soon, but I don't count Real Madrid as a favorite for the Champions League title next year. After all, Madrid should look for young players who have potential because regeneration should be done from now on, if Madrid still chooses to reduce costs in the transfer market then of course it will have a bad impact on the team's performance. I don't know if it is just me, but I don't like Real Mardid as much right now. The squad seems so unfamiliar to me. Five years ago with Ronaldo it was a different story. Also when Di Maria was still there and so on. Right now it feels like I don't know the squad anymore. But the same applies to Barcelona.

I am curious to see where Mbappe and Haaland will go. Mbappe staying in Paris is also sad. Hardly anyone is watching the Ligue 1 and it would be so much more fun to see Mbappe compete with the best of the best year round. I can imagine that Atletico will be able to defend their title the upcoming season.

I think that also marks a strong difference with other major European teams that tend to build a stable, and well financed by the way, project. It is both about different styles that teams play, and it is also about how he is aging as well. I mean he is not the player he used to be that is for sure, but he is not "that" bad neither, he is just not as good as he used to be but still pretty good, plus the style Barcelona plays is a different one so he is not as much of the main focus as he used to be as well.

Most of the time players like him shine at their old clubs and then when they move to "bigger" clubs (even though ATM won the year) that ends up being a part of the system instead of shining star of a team. I believe in France he will play better than he played in Barcelona, he is a much more important part there, however the star is still mbappe and I believe he will still be second or even third option there as well. Let's see though, no matter what happens he will still be good for few more seasons.

I'm not sure about the barriers for young players, because if the coach still needs his services on the pitch then of course older players like Ramos will still be playing. We don't know the conversations that are taking place within the team because I'm sure senior players like Ramos will always have leadership qualities and that's what I believe, when there are quality young players it's possible for Ramos to let him play but again, the coach is the main factor because the coach who makes the strategy and which and what kind of players are suitable to carry out the strategy.
