Did I head Granada's name as one of the top team of LaLiga!!
For your information Granada is promoted team this season which means they were playing second-tier league last season. LaLiga is not at all boring, just look at table table and compare it with last season, you will see the difference. Almost all 20 teams have potential to beat each other. Barcelona already suffered two defeats which shows no one in LaLiga is invincible.
This season, Laliga and Budesliga both are going to be very competitive and exciting. But on the down side, Premier League is not as exciting as last season. Liverpool is too strong to handle for other PL teams.

If you are talking about La Liga being boring with few teams repeatedly contending for the top spot like Barca and Real Madrid then you might give it a try visiting the other European leagues like the French Liqui 1, the Italian League and some others. Historically, I guess EPL have the best numbers of very competitive teams.

But still Europe has the best soccer games and events since apart from FIFA since we have UEFA Champions League and UEFA Euro. Also there are many qualifying games in between leagues.

That's what I am saying. PSG has clear dominance in French League, Bayern always top Bundesliga, Juventus is winning Serie A from last 7 years and counting. These leagues are hardly competitive at all. La Liga if not the best league in Europe is surely the second best after Premier League. Special thanks to Messi and Ronaldo owing to whom, this league is now watched in over 130 countries across the globe.

Before the iconic duo of Messi and Ronaldo, the Spanish league had been producing the very best players in European football. But there has always been a gap between the top teams and the others, in the premier league that gap was very thin (Liverpool and Manchester City are widening it).

Finances is one of the top reason for the Spanish dominance by top teams, much of the revenue goes to the big clubs, while in the premier league it's more evenly distributed and mid table teams have huge purchasing power.

The Premier League is the only league that that actually shares the revenue equally among the clubs. This is some of the reasons why their league aren't really that competitive with just two or three teams always dominating.

Correct, Liverpool & a few of the other big clubs tried to vote to be able to sell rights to their own games. The Premier League didn’t allow them to.

Despite he's indisputable talents, Dembele just keep showing that he can't be relied upon, too unstable for my liking. But I think he did a better job on the left flank than Griezmann would normally do on that wing. I also think the red card to Araujo was a bit harsh, it was a 50/50 side to side challenge.

Cos he's still too young.  He should've played at the EPL if he wanted a level higher and allowed himself to develop more.

Anyway that didn't take long...  La Liga table is at it should be.  Every club besides Real, Barca, Atletico just fighting for fourth.  Lol.  I feel Sevilla takes it.

Perhaps, you're right. If he had played in the EPL he probably would have had to let go of those childish antics he displays regularly. I really hooe he doesn't just throw away his career with those careless act.

I think the fight for the 4th position might be tough battle yet again this season, just like it was last season.

Again, he's young.  Getting into Barca at that age is def a lot of pressure for many athletes who lack maturity.  It could be better for player and club to loan him somewhere.

No, please! That'd be the end of career in Barcelona I can bet it.

From past experience, once Barcelona begins to loan out a player, He's hardly still part of the future plan.

^  Nono...  Not to get rid of him.  Loan him out just so that he'll grow and develop as a player.  I mean how old is he?  21 - 22?  Young.

From past experience, once Barcelona begins to loan out a player, He's hardly still part of the future plan.
To be honest, with the likes of Ansu Fati and other youngsters from La Masia making their way into the first team with much less "drama" surrounding them than Dembele, I feel like the latter only has like 1 year or less in FC Barcelona before they decide to sell him or he gets sick of being constantly told what to do and asks for a transfer request...They might as well loan him out so that he gets used to another environment, and then give Fati more minutes.

Anyways, so there's a big controversy in spanish football right now that involves the next 'El Clasico' between Real Madrid and Barcelona. Apparently, La Liga, the spanish football federation, and even the Spanish government, do not want El Clasico to be played in Barcelona, let alone on October 26th, all of this because of the current sociopolitical crisis in the city (check the news, shit is going down over there).

Long story short: we might end up without El Clasico this month, some are saying the game will be played on December[1]  Shocked

I read somewhere that's possible that first El Clasico can be moved to Madrid. I hope such radical decisions won't be needed... Just think about about fans who bought expensive tickets, especially these who will arrive from other countries, it would unfair...

The Premier League is the only league that that actually shares the revenue equally among the clubs. This is some of the reasons why their league aren't really that competitive with just two or three teams always dominating.
Yeah, you're right. Such revenue share model in EPL means that even league bottom clubs have huge budgets and they can spend a lot to buy players. While small clubs in La Liga and other leagues often have financial problems.
If I'm not mistaken, La Liga changed revenue share model few years ago - now money is shared according to clubs results. It's more fair than it was previously when Real and Barca took main part of pot.

That is also news that I have seen, that is not postponed to December. But El Clasico was moved from Barcelona to Real Madrid headquarters.
But in this case, it is precisely Real Madrid who benefit more from playing at home. whatever the reason, this will be detrimental to Barcelona and there should be no transfer of matches. It's better to delay.

That's unfair to Barcelona supposedly playing at home and then all of a sudden will end up facing Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabéu. A neutral location would be better if postponing it won't work. Fans will prefer a moved date for sure. Also it allows Gareth Bale to recuperate.

Another issue. Is Gareth Bale staying in Madrid? Modric openly wanted Gareth to stay but it seems Zidane and maybe the Real Madrid management too wanted Bale out? is Real Madrid looking to shop for another star as replacement?

That's unfair to Barcelona supposedly playing at home and then all of a sudden will end up facing Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabéu. A neutral location would be better if postponing it won't work. Fans will prefer a moved date for sure. Also it allows Gareth Bale to recuperate.

But unfortunately the Spanish government supports El Clasico being moved to the Bernabeu. I personally feel really unfair, In this case the beneficiaries are Real Madrid. Do not know for sure later, whether moved or postponed, waiting for an official decision from the parties concerned.

They actually have very valid claims in changing the venue for the El Classico with all the protests and civil unrests going on there. Some people may end up targeting the officials and players of Real Madrid just in retaliation. I wonder if they are going to postpone all of Barcelona's home games because of these incidents.

finally LaLiga is running on again, the first match tomorrow, Friday -> Granada CF - CA Osasuna

Do not forget to make your picks (for those who are in the pool)

Both of them was playing the Segunda last season, but that fact hasn't stopped them from being a pleasant surprises (for now). Speaking of Granada, which is in a very good 4th place, while Osasuna is a solid 11th and they have only 3 points less than Granada.
Last season, playing at Segunda, Granada beat Osasuna at their stadium 2:0, and Osasuna won the last match at home by 1:0

I'm giving an advance for Granada tomorrow, @2.53 to win this match (my pool pick is 2:1)

Good luck

If you don't believe it or don't get it, I don't have the time to try to convince you, sorry.

Well as usual I will be looking at Barcelona matches. They are playing against Eibar and with the team strength they should win the match against them. The previous record also is speaking for Barcelona however in the last face to face Eibar was actually settled with a draw.

I hope this time it does not end up like the same. Barcelona already lost a lot of points in this season.

In the previous match Granada lost. Of course in this match, they will not lose again. Because Granada wants to keep the position in the top 4. If you lose again, surely they will go down in their current position.

Before Messi and Ronaldo competed with each other in the same league, Laliga was still under premiere league for competitive league affairs, after Ronaldo came to enliven the league, then many stars players began to come to Laliga, then spanish leagues was increasingly crowded and competitive, even almost in All tournaments, Champions league and UEFA, are dominated by teams from Spain. it was a flashback a few years ago.
but even now, Laliga has something interesting to watch, especially Messi still in barca and Real Madrid bring in a lot of star players.

I think that this match is going to finish in draw and Granada is going to lose points.
International breaks are against teams like Granada because their players are inactive for a week or more. This has a direct impact to their form and I think that the same is going to happen in the next match.

I was gonna reply to you saying that there could be some value in Eibar ML at 5/1 odds, the ‎Ipurua stadium is a tough pitch, but then I looked at their head-to-head record, and then rembered that Messi is fully rested, i feel like Eibar have no chance of winning next saturday, i'm expecting comfortable win for Barca (as much as hate to say 'cause i want to lose every match lol).

I'm giving an advance for Granada tomorrow, @2.53 to win this match (my pool pick is 2:1)
They lost only 2 games: against Sevilla and then Real Madrid. Granada are currently in the top 4 and motivated to keep that good form at home. Tbh, those odds are hard to pass up, i might add Granada in a parlay (there's a good Bundesliga game tomorrow, Frankfurt vs Leverkusen).

I haven't made a bet for a long while on the Spanish championship so I think it would be a good start of my betting season with the Granada vs Osasuna match tomorrow. Historically these teams haven't scored much goals against each other and the results were pretty close every time. Looking even deeper into the statistics, since 2011 Granada hasn't lost on home pitch against Osasuna. You know the saying: "it works until it doesn't"

So this is going to be a simple bet for me just to get warmed up. I'm going for a 1X with 1.33 odds. I'll place a stake big enough to make back the money I'm going to spend on beers while watching the game.
