Valencia is not an easy opponent but there must be a struggle to win this match if you want to stay in the top position.
The game of Xavi and Ineasta is currently difficult to emulate for new Barcelona players after they left the club so that the Barcelona game like before will not be repeated and even now it is difficult to develop it.

Barcelona played mediocre in the first half. They dominate the ball position but they have difficulty penetrating the Valencia penalty box. Precisely Valencia played very effectively by having a lot of golden opportunities. Unfortunately the penalty was successfully denied by Ter Steiger .essi has not shown his magical power. It looks like the match will end in a draw.

A short overview on the current top clubs in la liga, just my views though.

For real madrid, i think Zizou has steadied the ship, the consistencies of valverde and Militao has fit in good after couple of struggles, but even though clearly madrid misses the goal exploits of ronaldo, benzema has done well, and the future looks brighter.

For Atletico, it is a roller coaster because the players with Diego are good players, but not rugged and to play the defensive side of football for 90 minutes tires out the team, Diego needs to work out another strategy because he can't continue to be a defensive coach.

For barcelona, i think barcelona fans expect too much which is an issue, and led to the panic buys of coutinho and dembele, The gems in messi, ronaldo, xavi or david silva comes rarely, finding players suited to xavi or iniesta style of play isnt't the way out.

Consistency, and winning strategy is all that is needed.

Valencia's attempts are far more potent compared to Barcelona's. Barcelona are playing like they have already won the league. If this is the kind of play the new Coach is going to emphasize, then it's going to be a fail.

Barcelona lost their concentration as their game was very messy maybe this was due to the effect of losing 2 goals behind by Valencia so it did not focus on their core game so now it only shows a bad game.
With a new coach Setién does not provide a good opportunity when competing with Valencia.

They could have been 4 or 5 goals by now. Just seen some disallowed goal too by Gabriel Paulista. Who else is watch the match? It's definitely so interesting for neutrals and Anti-Barcelona fans.

Barcelona's defeat with Valcensia is a bad thing because Barcelona want to pursue points and like to be subject to Valencia, because Valencia stopped Barca step to add points.
A few hours later Real Madrid will compete with Valladolid and this opponents weak team Real Madrid must take this opportunity to lead the temporary standings in LaLiga ,.

At the end of the match Barcelona lost 2-0. Looking at the Barcelona game, I think they really deserve to lose this match. When Valencia failed with their penalty kick I thought Barcelona would avoid defeat and could draw. It turned out that the Valencia attack was really effective. And Barcelona until the end of the game like the difficulty to enter the Valencia defense area.

Well, 3 first games of Setien wasn't good. But I think it's too early to judge him. Having huge ball posession and just passing ball isn't enough. Barca just weren't dangerous enough in attack. With absence of Suarez, we have lack of good forward. It's strange to say such words when we have Messi and Griezmann, but it's reality. And new formation 3-1-4-2 didn't really worked today. I hope that they will get Suarez replacement before end of transfer window.

Semedo should start over Roberto. Under Setien, Alba is deployed mainly as a midfielder. This creates extra pressure on back three so Barcelona needs quick feet at Right Back. Semedo is better than Roberto when it comes to speed, also he can move ball more swiftly through right wing and combine with Messi/Fati.

Second problem is in forward line. Griezmann was mostly invisible. Fati's lack of experience was clearly visible. Fati has a potential to be the player for future but certainly not a starter at the moment. Barcelona urgently needs someone who can actually beat the full-backs of opponent and enter in the box. Does that remind about anyone to you? Yes, Dembele! His presence is very much needed in the absence of Suarez,

Barcelona lost the match and as a Real Madrid fan I’m very happy with this result, and now I’m sincerely hoping that Real Madrid can win their match on Monday and establish a healthy lead at the top of the table. @Bitcoin_Arena it’s too early to blame their new coach, because we need to give him some more time before we can fully understand his methods.

Barcelona disappointed a lot in this game, they failed to score at least 1 goal. From what I see Barcelona is needing to hire good players for their attack to be better. It was a very humiliating defeat. I hope that tomorrow Real Madrid beat Real Valladolid and with that Real Madrid will be in first place in La Liga

Stats may say otherwise but Barcelona played awful today. Under Quique Setien, Barcelona find the way to pass quickly between players but where is the final product? Just for an example, out of 14 shots Barcelona registered 11 came from Messi. He was only active player for Barcelona today apart from Ter Stegen. But his performance was also below par. He missed all his 11 shots. He failed to convert any of the 4 free kicks (one was only 21m away). When you are Lionel Messi, fans expect better from you.

So in the nutshell, coach changed but situation isn't.

I think after Neymar leaving, Barcelona attacks getting weaker week after week. They need key ST or FW player immediately. And there is just a limited time for transfer season. They should make a big decision about it.

The stats didn't justify what really happened during the match, Valencia were totally deserved winners of match, Barca were awful in the first half, the entire team looked very sluggish and were extremely lucky not to have been 2 - 3 goals down before the break. After the break, Barca seemed to have found their rhythm and were close to scoring just before Valencia's first goal which made the task a bit more difficult, Introduction of Vidal positively influenced Barcelona's performance but that wasn't enough to save the day. Ter Stegen was the best player for Barcelona with his stunning saves, there was absolutely nothing he could about either goals.
