Sevilla bought Rafa Mir from Wolverhampton for 16 million Euro. That's a good addition to the squad. Rafa played good matches this Summer, especially in Olympics. Last season he scored a lot of goals as well but it was in second league. I wonder how he play in Sevilla now, expectations are big.
Real Madrid renew Karim Benzema's contract for one more year. Now he can play without thinking about next season.
Today we watched only one match, Real Betis and Cadiz shared points. I see Negredo still scoring goals. Juanmi scored for Betis and brought one point for his team just like last week.

On the other hand, Granada drew with Villarreal 0-0. This match also seems like it's prone to a draw. So my score predictions are: 1-1 and 2-2. I don't think that there will be 0 goal.

It is a big day for Barcelona. They are going to play against Athletic Bilbao in an away game. As you can remember, Barcelona were one of the teams which started the season really good. They defeated Real Sociedad 4-2. And Barcelona showed something to us that they can still play decent without even Messi. But it is more important to keep this up until the end of the season. You can't always win of course. But the game plan and effort are the main concerns.
In my opinion, Barcelona will manage to be victorious at the end. It may not be that easy but they have the power to beat Bilbao nicely.

We said the same thing about Real Madrid just after Ronaldo left. Sure they won a couple of games afterwards to show their fans and everyone that the team is still in good shape but that notwithstanding, we all know how things have been with Madrid since Ronaldo left. They've struggled in all major competitions - La liga, Champions league and others. Messi's absence might not be felt for a while but I know that in the long run, it will.
They should win Athletic Bilbao though.

At least Barcelona still has a list of the best players there Depay and Aguero are enough to replace Messi, at least they can get out of dependency
The situation is different with Madrid when they sell Ronaldo they buy players who are prone to injury so they only hope in Benzema, yes old players entering retirement

The whole question is whether Depay and Aguero will be enough to fight on all fronts? And by the way, the duties of these players did not seem to include the task of replacing Messi, and therefore it should take at least some time. As far as I remember, Aguero actually moved to Barcelona precisely because of the prospect of playing with Messi on the field and being in the same team with him. And there was even information that Aguero wanted to leave Barcelona, when it suddenly turned out that Lionel and Barcelona had parted ways and a new contract was not signed. In any case, I do not think that everything will be smooth for Barcelona in the coming season, because the departure of such system-forming players cannot pass without a trace.

Granada and Valencia always score goals every time the two teams meet at least in the last 4 matches and what's interesting is that the home team always dominates as the winner
I can't predict whether they will draw or not, but for sure for my bet I choose Both team to score safer and more likely, IMO

Valencia have slightly better quality players than Granada, then Valencia also managed to win the game in the first week. So in this second week Valencia
will definitely try to continue their positive trend by beating Granada, although I admit Granada is not an easy team to beat. It is proven that Villarreal
are a strong team, failed to win at home and even Villarreal had to get a red card in that match. I agree a draw is an ideal result for both teams,
but I still believe Valencia's chances of winning the game are much bigger.

I'm still a little unsure whether Countinho can bring it better with the number 10 because we know Messi is very valuable with the number 10 shirt, I don't believe this will get Countinho even though this is still just a rumor being reported.
But what about the other players have they given up on Coutinho as candidate no 10?
If taken from the academy it looks like it will take a very long time and need a good extension of the player.

Coutinho has not played up to Barcelona's expectation since being bought from Liverpool. Once on loan at Bayern Munich and returned to Barcelona without change which was quite good. Last season he didn't get much playing time under Koeman. So I don't see him as a player who deserve the number 10 and I agree for the time being that number should be kept.

I still believe in Coutinho,no doubt,the player is talented,all he needs is love from his coach to give him regular playing time,which I see, will bring out the best in him.Another player who deserves that number is Memphis Depay.

I still believe in Coutinho,no doubt,the player is talented,all he needs is love from his coach to give him regular playing time,which I see, will bring out the best in him.

Coutinho is a great player but it is his past and golden time. Since the transfer to Barcelona, Coutinho lost his performance and the loan to Bayern Munich can not help him to come back. He won a Champions League with Bayern but his contribution is not big.

Big players can get troubles after a transfer and never come back. Fernando Torres, Kaka, Shevchenko, and more. I hope that Coutinho will return to his best but I am doubtful that it will happen.

Another player who deserves that number is Memphis Depay.

Memphis is different entirely because after a failure in Mancheter United, he quickly got his best back in Lyon. After a few seasons in Lyon, he became one of the best attacking players in the Europe and a key player in Netherlands.

Barcelona looks to have a great free transfer with Memphis but again, will they give him good position to play in Camp Nou. With Koeman, who used to be a coach of Netherlands, Memphis likely have a good future in Barca.

I also think that Carlo Ancelotti is carrying a heavy burden. He came to replace Zidane but Real Madrid's financial condition was not in good condition and he had to lose 2 defenders. Given that Real Madrid failed to win a trophy last season, Carlo Ancelotti is definitely required to be able to present the title and for that Real Madrid will have to buy players, at least a reliable center-back to fill the position left by Varane and Ramos.

Real Madrid has earned money from the sale of Raphael Varane and Martin Odegaard, so they should have the budget to buy new players.

By the way, apart from Athletic Bilbao and Barcelona, Granada vs Valencia is an interesting game today... The odds for one of the teams to win are almost the same - 2.6 - 3.0...
In my opinion Valencia looks stronger than Granada, although the hosts have not lost at home in the last four games and in general have been playing well lately!
Hard to make a prediction, but I think Valencia can win today!

Any thoughts on tonight's La Liga game? Cadiz are away and the bookies are quite firmly against them at the moment looking at the odds, but I still remember their shock wins last season against fancier teams so I'm trying not to get tempted to play them, maybe with a goal handicap? Or take Draw No Bet?

Real Betis and Cadiz CF are teams in the same category. It is difficult to predict these teams. Because they do not have the continuity of performance. They win against a strong team and lose against a weak team. However, I think the match between Cadiz and Real Betis could be a 0-0 draw.

Goal handicap or draw no bet as I suggested would have won me something but I did end up just staying away, while you were on the money with how hard it was to predict that. I therefore think you're right, bet on them with handicaps all the time and if they're the favorites just stay away.

For a very experienced coach like Carlo Ancelotti then I think getting the title at the end of the season is one of the things that the club management expects and demands the most. It is certain that the club is willing to sign him because they want to win the title at the end of the season and it will be a burden for anyone who serves as coach.

Losing his two best defenders means Ancelotti will have to rack his brains to put another player in that position and he may have to buy some other good players to help his tactics go according to plan.
