We had a 1-1 draw at the end of the Sevilla - Cadiz game. And this didn't make me astonished or so at all. Because it was already known that Cadiz were battling for not relegating from the La Liga. And they were ready to give their one hundred percent for this game too. They had no reason to fear Sevilla. And their bravery brought them another critical point. But they must be still unhappy about the result as they would prefer to win. Because Granada can push them into the drop zone if they defeat Celta Vigo this week.

The tie ended in a 1-1 draw tonight, with Sevilla failing to win and build up pressure on Barcelona who play later this weekend. The draw also means that Sevilla can miss out on champions league football if they do not improve their performances in the league too. Sevilla remains 2nd atleast for tonight

Barcelona should thank Cadiz because making a draw match result vs Sevilla. So, this means that Sevilla point will not be too far from Barcelona. And if in the next match Barcelona can win the match, Barcelona standing will be easy again to reach the second standing. Barcelona will fight against Mallorca in the next match, if they can make the performance better than in previous matches, they will easily win. But it will also depend on how the performance of every player during the match. As we know that Barcelona performance currently is very dropped.

Well I expected Sevilla to win this game, they were leading since the beginning but Cadiz is trying hard to get away from the relegation zone so they were able to get the draw.. Sevilla 1-1 Cadiz.. Barcelona and ATM could get its position in case they win their games.

I also think Sevilla must win this match, they are a better team and they were playing at home. But they seem not to give the best effort, playing underperformance again and again. With the result 1-1, they only get 1 point. So, their position is very possible to be overtaken by Barcelona and even Atletico Madrid in the next few matches. It is quite sad to see this team performance lately, it is decreasing so badly. They are probably to finish this season in 4th place if there is no change in their perfromance.

I wouldn't say that, maybe on the contrary, the second place in La Liga is the maximum for Sevilla and just the level of the team does not allow it to fully correspond to this, which results in similar results, like the draw with Cadiz that was not planned by many. this is a fair result, Cadiz really put up a very good fight, even though they played at home to Sevilla but they wanted important points for them to avoid the relegation zone, while Sevilla even though they only got 1 point they were safe enough to finish in the position Top 4 and get Champions League tickets.

I couldn't agree more with you, Cadiz really put some better performance today and their chances of not getting relegated is getting better. Sevilla were fortunate to go have ahead early into the game, but Cadiz kept it all together and the wonderful free kick from Lucas Perez was able to give them a deserved point.


With Madrid needing just one point more to be officially crowned champion, I'll assume they'll be getting the win in front of their home fans against Espanyol later today. I might however expect Carlo Ancelotti would rest a number of his squad ahead of the 2nd leg UCL semi finals against Man City.

A fair result for Cadiz, but not for Sevilla, an additional one point means a lot to Cadiz to stay away from the relegation zone. While on the other hand, Sevilla failed to stay away from Barcelona. Even though Sevilla is playing at home and facing a team that is almost relegated but Sevilla can't do much, I think Cadiz played better than Sevilla, maybe sharing the points in last night's game was a good move, although with a draw Cadiz could Not improve his position but the distance at least 2 points from Granada who are in the relegation zone, can make Cadiz a little relieved, in the remaining matches Cadiz continues to play consistently and is willing to work hard so that Cadiz is not relegated next season, and can still play in the Spanish number one league.
