It is called pre-season or club friendlies for a reason and this most likely is for the coaches to have an opportunity to taste what every strategy or line-ups they have as well as their new signings. Also a chance to make adjustments and corrections to any formation that doesn't seem favourable. it should be seen as important because as it might seem some what as an unofficial El Classico it has so much to tell about what should be expected by the coming season

Yes I personally still don't expect much from Barcelona now, not their game but their ability to finance next season. Game-wise I have more faith in them, but financially I still have doubts.
