As Real Madrid has been performing consistently well, they don't seem to be able to be stopped by any team other than Barcelona. I would say all teams in La Liga are relatively weak this season except Barcelona and Real Madrid. Teams like Real Betis, Athletic Club and Osasuna are doing a bit better now, but their attacks are weaker than Madrid and Barca. And so I don't think these teams can defeat Real Madrid. I do not like Diego Simeone's tactics, but if everyone is to be honest, he brought success to Atheltico Madrid, winning La Liga twice with them and taking them as far as a champions league final was great to achieve for the club and their fans, so i don't feel the board will even think of sacking him, and maybe he is the best man for the Athletico job, they are not a club that spends too much, so to get a coach like Diego that manages the players he has and still does so well is hard to find. Simeone and Athletico madrid are like a match made in heaven, and i expect that they will stay together for a long time, except something spontaneous happens.

The competition they will face in the La liga as regards who wins the title this season will be Barcelona who are also doing well in their own way.
