Sevilla - Atletico Madrid is an attracting game next week.

Sevilla are in a really bad condition. But when it comes to this kind of big games we don't know what can happen. Sevilla have been quite dominant against them in the recent years. Atletico Madrid couldn't defeat them for four years in this stadium. And Sevilla won the last two head-to-head games here also. This doesn't mean that I will bet on Sevilla of course because it is very risky now. Atletico Madrid's performance against Real Madrid was really promising. If they keep this up in this game too then they might have a chance to break a leg. Both teams to score is my choice of bet for this one.

Atlético Madrid was the team that played more effectively in the Real Madrid match and made more attacks.  Sevilla is in really bad condition.  The team has entered a downward trend compared to previous years.  They are currently ranked 15th in the league and this is a ranking that surprises everyone.  Atletico Madrid will definitely turn the situation of this Sevilla in their favor and win the match.  It also seems from the style of play they are playing that they are aiming for the top ranks this year.  They have a very attacking and winning style.  If they can solve their problems in defense, they can move up to the top.

Atletico Madrid's problem is that they are using the same strategies for many years. While they were working smoothly there was no problem about that of course. But from now on, it looks like their usual game plan isn't working in many games anymore. Simeone tries some new things sometimes but they shouldn't make do with this. It is obvious that they need some changes. They should be patient and continue to try new things from now on. But on the other hand this will be an opportunity for Xavi Hernandez's men to show that they have a solid team even though they are not strengthened by his first team. Wouldn't it be great when they could score points with players on the bench? It would show that they are a strong team now. But that is if they can get points, but if it's the other way around then Xavi must prepare for the future to be more ready again.

Friend, may be you have an addiction?  On the one hand, I understand you because I recently experienced similar feelings due to a pause in the Premier League, but there was a different situation - the pause was unexpected. The current pause was known in advance and there was no "cancellation of what you have been waiting for a long time." I think Xavi can handle his team without losing focus on other competitions. Laliga and Champions League are both important, so I don't think Xavi will keep his best squad on the bench against Mallorca just because the player is expected to do well against Inter in the Champions League. Their main players have to get minutes to play, they have to play even if they have to start from the bench. Xavi's main target is simply to win faster than Mallorca in the first half with a good goal difference, and that could see him attract some players to rest in the second half.

Yeah they need to focus on CL right now as that is the one likely to get out of hand. I still think they won't be able to select their best squad against Inter. Against Mallorca its a bit difficult as Xavi has to manage his players and has to substitute those players which he wants to use in CL in second half. It still will be very hard because Araujo was their main man in defence and without him defence is gonna struggle.
