I assume that won't happen. if the scenario is as you say, in other words Xavi will be replaced. Isn't it Xavi who wants Messi to return to Camp Nou, there are a lot of rumors going around. but for sure, messi still has a chance if he still wants to play one more season with PSG. PSG have the option to extend Messi's contract for another year.

The club is very lucky to benefit from the signing of the player both on the pitch and off the pitch.

Another great impact of signing Messi is that he has been a positive influence and a mentor to younger players. Unlike Mbappe and Neymar that keeps portraying immature behavior, Messi has been able to show that selflessness and team-playing is a great virtue. And I am sure many young players would imbibe this uncommon virtue.

Too bad Barcelona have found their self in a very tough group and they will be competing against big teams like Bayern and Inter Milan. The previous game they lost to Bayern Munich was a disappointing one and to boost the team's moral they will be looking to win against Inter in the next group game. I'm not quite sure if Barcelona will be able to achieve this because it will be a tough one for them.

The challenge at the start is better than the challenge at the end, meaning Barcelona will have to prove that they can come out of this challenge early and enjoy the result at the end. The 2 teams they have to beat are Bayern Munich and Inter, but of course it won't be easy. Previously, Barcelona lost to Bayern Munich on the road but they should try to win their second match at Camp Nou against Bayern Munich.

Xavi really have to make every effort to qualify from the group stage although I really believe they can handle this well. So far they are playing well despite losing to Bayern Munich, they are just unlucky.

I do agree with this. This time barcelona can do something without him. that proves that if era for the club actually rely with him already over. This season Messi has only scored four goals in Ligue 1, the tally Messi has scored far behind team-mates Neymar and Mbappe. Neymar has scored 8 goals, while Mbappe has contributed 7 goals for PSG. Messi declining number of goals is not because he is not able to perform well with PSG, Messi contribution to PSG is very good, he has contributed 7 assists this season. Messi really enjoys his new role as a playmaker, this role is very suitable for Messi because he can't run like he used to due to his age factor.

I often hear people say Messi and Ronaldo. Ronaldo is often said to be a football machine because indeed he is like a robot but for Messi he is often said to be a prodigy who has a special talent that sets them apart.
He is now quite comfortable with PSG and in fact he can be said to have adapted well.

Sevilla - Atletico Madrid is the most interesting match of the week in my opinion.

Sevilla are having a terrible season now. They need to start a winning streak immediately to pull themselves together. But making this happen against Atletico Madrid is a very difficult task to do. Because Atletico Madrid are playing much better than them recently. Despite losing to Real Madrid their performance was still impressive until a point. They can play an effective game against this vulnerable Sevilla even easier. But I expect to see a controlled game from them at first if Sevilla start with an attacking focused game plan. They'd like to benefit from the spaces in Sevilla defense.

I think Atletico Madrid won't lose this but it might end in a draw rather than their getting a win.

I think it used to be, but now Messi is not faster than Ronaldo. His age has brought his speed down but I can expect him to still be pretty good about his skills. Messi's performance last season declined and it was evident from the number of goals he managed to have with PSG. But this season there seems to be an improvement in his goals productivity so it's good to expect him to shine again with his team and country.

But I don't want to expect much about him for Barcelona even though several times Xavi has started talking about him in public. I just hope Barcelona have to stay realistic about Messi and they have to manage this team with the available squad. You're a lucky person if you managed to see Messi live when he played for Barca and CR7 for Ronaldo. Those were probably the best times in football era as I don't think we will see 2 players like them anytime soon. Regarding comebacks....neither of them will ever comeback to the old club not as players , not as someone in board but I do see CR7 as a coach after he retires.

If it's a fitness issue I think Messi is still worth considering, but to return to Barcelona is still a difficult thing for us to see after his contract is over. I think even if Messi plays again at Barcelona he will still be productive regardless of his age and fitness form. Because if we compare Messi with his eternal rival (Ronaldo) now Messi has shown that he can surpass him.

Apart from that case, I also see that now Barcelona is losing a lot of players, possibly quite dangerous both in terms of their position in La Liga and their biggest challenge in the Champions League. 4 players who required Xavi to think even harder in order to adjust the void.

Yes, I thought so too but anything is still possible even I never imagined Alves who was once sold by Barcelona would return to Barcelona in Xavi's era from clubless status. Messi could return to Barcelona on a free transfer, I can read a lot of news saying Messi has no intention of extending his contract with PSG. So Messi's return to Barcelona is just a possibility, I don't think it will be real next season but anyway I think Messi will really want to retire with Barcelona who raised him for so many years.

As a fan, I hope he comes back and is willing to sacrifice for the club that made him a football legend. At the end of next season I think the rumors of a move to Barcelona are getting stronger, so for now it's probably not realistic enough.
