Fan demands have been very high on Xavi this season, especially after they spent a lot of money to bring in 7 new players. I wouldn't think they would guarantee the title, but at least barcelona at the moment have had a good improvement in terms of form.

Last season, Auba had helped them with a goal productivity problem which initially stalled because Barcelona did not have a reliable striker. But this season things haven't been the same, Auba is gone and Lewandowski is starting to present a lot of possibilities for his goalscoring productivity. Barcelona's probability of winning every match has increased, thanks to the efforts and sacrifices made by the players and the club.

Actually, this demand is still reasonable because the players who have brought in are clearly players with a fairly good caliber and at an expensive price even though this threatens their finances.
But on the other hand, this is actually still something that is difficult for Xavi because it is clear that the pressure is very large, apart from him being required to change his current condition, he is also required to win instantly and that is something difficult for sure.

Yes, Real Madrid has demonstrated well through out their six weeks they didn't experienced any defeat from any teams in this La Liga league competition, showed that Real Madrid are in a good position to lead in this season. If Real Madrid can maintain this position till the end of this tournament, I think, they will definitely embrace the title from the season because their players are very ready to improve more in their tactics. Barcelona also demonstrated well through out the six weeks to alert their fans that they have what it takes to finish this season well.

I don't think it will work, looks like messi will still have one more season to go before he actually retires. if barcelona are planning to facilitate messi's return to camp nou, just to become a club ambassador, or as you say as the new coach of barcelona.

I assume that won't happen. if the scenario is as you say, in other words Xavi will be replaced. Isn't it Xavi who wants Messi to return to Camp Nou, there are a lot of rumors going around. but for sure, messi still has a chance if he still wants to play one more season with PSG. PSG have the option to extend Messi's contract for another year.

With Messi contribution at PSG clearly having a big impact, it is possible that his contract will be extended. It is not difficult for a PSG manager who has a lot of money on the condition that Messi can strengthen PSG's front position again. I know PSG still has Neymar and Mbappe will continue. Actually I don't mind when they play a game against a team whose quality is below them. But the problem is when they have to miss important games like El Clasico.

His replica jersey had almost one million sales and the fan base of the club had a 50% increase. His arrival also benefitted the french league because it improved its football's global appeal. The club is very lucky to benefit from the signing of the player both on the pitch and off the pitch.

Another great impact of signing Messi is that he has been a positive influence and a mentor to younger players. Unlike Mbappe and Neymar that keeps portraying immature behavior, Messi has been able to show that selflessness and team-playing is a great virtue. And I am sure many young players would imbibe this uncommon virtue.

Too bad Barcelona have found their self in a very tough group and they will be competing against big teams like Bayern and Inter Milan. The previous game they lost to Bayern Munich was a disappointing one and to boost the team's moral they will be looking to win against Inter in the next group game. I'm not quite sure if Barcelona will be able to achieve this because it will be a tough one for them.

The challenge at the start is better than the challenge at the end, meaning Barcelona will have to prove that they can come out of this challenge early and enjoy the result at the end. The 2 teams they have to beat are Bayern Munich and Inter, but of course it won't be easy. Previously, Barcelona lost to Bayern Munich on the road but they should try to win their second match at Camp Nou against Bayern Munich.

Xavi really have to make every effort to qualify from the group stage although I really believe they can handle this well. So far they are playing well despite losing to Bayern Munich, they are just unlucky.

Of course PSG will not let Messi go just like that, PSG will do whatever it takes to make Messi stay in Paris. But the final decision lies with Messi, he could return to Barcelona when his contract with PSG has expired.

I do agree with this. This time barcelona can do something without him. that proves that if era for the club actually rely with him already over. IF he was coming back to the barcelona as a new player and that would be fine but the problem is once he was coming back to the club while the club is still struggling with its financial. The come of mess will become a disaster for the club.  He will be very suitable to be a new coach for barcelona in the future.

In fact he doesn't show anything above average - PSG dominate Ligue 1 and any attacking player in midfield will have a good goal/assist statistic. Even if you compare him directly with Lewandowski, I would say that Lewandowski shows a much better productivity in Barcelona (although again you have to wait for games against strong teams).

This season Messi has only scored four goals in Ligue 1, the tally Messi has scored far behind team-mates Neymar and Mbappe. Neymar has scored 8 goals, while Mbappe has contributed 7 goals for PSG. Messi declining number of goals is not because he is not able to perform well with PSG, Messi contribution to PSG is very good, he has contributed 7 assists this season. Messi really enjoys his new role as a playmaker, this role is very suitable for Messi because he can't run like he used to due to his age factor.

I often hear people say Messi and Ronaldo. Ronaldo is often said to be a football machine because indeed he is like a robot but for Messi he is often said to be a prodigy who has a special talent that sets them apart.
He is now quite comfortable with PSG and in fact he can be said to have adapted well.
His current form is arguably better than last season but that doesn't mean in this case he has to return to La Liga because I prefer him at PSG now.

Sevilla - Atletico Madrid is the most interesting match of the week in my opinion.

Sevilla are having a terrible season now. They need to start a winning streak immediately to pull themselves together. But making this happen against Atletico Madrid is a very difficult task to do. Because Atletico Madrid are playing much better than them recently. Despite losing to Real Madrid their performance was still impressive until a point. They can play an effective game against this vulnerable Sevilla even easier. But I expect to see a controlled game from them at first if Sevilla start with an attacking focused game plan. They'd like to benefit from the spaces in Sevilla defense.

I think it used to be, but now Messi is not faster than Ronaldo. His age has brought his speed down but I can expect him to still be pretty good about his skills. Messi's performance last season declined and it was evident from the number of goals he managed to have with PSG. But this season there seems to be an improvement in his goals productivity so it's good to expect him to shine again with his team and country.

But I don't want to expect much about him for Barcelona even though several times Xavi has started talking about him in public. I just hope Barcelona have to stay realistic about Messi and they have to manage this team with the available squad. Messi may return as a player or not, but now I'm not going to talk much about that possibility this season.

It seems unrealistic to me to see Messi in Barcelona again. I wouldn't say that Messi is a bad player. But he is old enough now. Barcelona needs a regular scorer now. It will be difficult for Messi to maintain his fitness now. Moreover, Messi's wages are still very high. Barcelona management is not able to pay so much wages. Xavi is probably expressing interest in Messi joining Barcelona to please Barca and Messi fans. But I don't think Xavi will take such a decision.

Especially for Messi, he can still return to La Liga because Xavi really wants Messi to buy Barcelona again while he is still a coach there. Xavi desperately needs Messi help to set the pace of Barcelona game and spoil the Barcelona striker with his assists.

You're a lucky person if you managed to see Messi live when he played for Barca and CR7 for Ronaldo. Those were probably the best times in football era as I don't think we will see 2 players like them anytime soon. Regarding comebacks....neither of them will ever comeback to the old club not as players , not as someone in board but I do see CR7 as a coach after he retires.
