Maybe Barcelona got the win they wanted by 1-0 but the match wasn't easy for them at all. Lewandowski's absence was felt really much.

I must appreciate Busquets' marvelous assist to Raphinha first of all. It was an amazing lob pass and Raphinha turned it into a nice goal. But Barcelona couldn't show their usual dominance against Valencia in Camp Nou anyway. Valencia also found so many goal opportunities. But they were really incapable as for shots on target. Araujo took a big risk by getting that red card maybe. But I believe it was worth it otherwise there was going to be a one-on-one situation with ter Stegen. Maybe even thanks to this challenge they won the match.

Barcelona has the opportunity to double the lead to 2 goals if Ferran Torres doesn't waste his penalty opportunities. But it failed and made him regret it. Valencia was not strong enough to stand against a team like Barcelona today, Xavi performed pretty well during the match because he knew how to manage the game even when they are playing with 10 players for more than 60 minutes against Valencia, they defended the goals they scored in the being of the game while in the second half of the game, Valencia had more control over the game, unlike the first half.

Looking at some of the comments made by Piqué in the past about the Catalan independence, somebody might indeed think that Barcelona is a political party. Personally, I prefer Pau Gasol's style, who is also catalan, but keeps his political thoughts for himself. The opposite is adding fuel to the fire. Who knows, perhaps this controversy is interesting for the club.

Back to sports, I also think that they will end up winning La Liga, and they deserve it, no matter what the haters you mention think.
