It's been a long time since I've seen such a dominant performance from Barcelona. Last year the roles were quite reversed. But Barcelona has also really conceded very few goals. We can condemn the game in the European CL and EL, but that is not relevant now. Of course they want to win the Copa del Rey, but so does Real Madrid. The only risk I see for Barcelona is that they are too passive and try to rely too much on their defense. While I believe that their defense will indeed be the key, they should not exaggerate it and take it to the utmost limit with that. It is about striking the balance here and keeping Real Madrid busy defensively as well. It is just one goal and Real Madrid has shown that they can turn around situations that have been much more difficult and complicated than that.

You are right that the game between these two teams will be really competitive. Because both teams are performing roughly the same at present. However, the team that can apply more tactics and take advantage of the mistakes of the opposition team will be able to secure the victory.

Both teams are almost sharing the same stat but from their last fives games but Villarreal has made more improvement than Real Sociedad. Sociedad might be in need of the three point to strengthen their stand in fourth spot but Villarreal are playing home and following their recent improvement it might not be an easy one for Sociedad. This will be competitive game for both side. If Sociedad must hold on to the fourth place they will have to apply a very tactical strategy.

However, I do not know which team is actually capable of that. My prediction is that this match is going to be a draw. Both teams will score. But there is not going to be a decisive goal in this match in my opinion. At the same time, as I have said that both teams need to win, they might go for the win and make mistakes.

Sometimes to defend from such pressure from the team below far harder than catching up the team above , barcelona and and real madrid seems the only two clubs that have the chance to lift the trophy this season , almost no chance for other club like atletico to catch the prime barcelona and real madrid currently. Avoiding to losing points on draw or lost .... that's a big task though.

Real Madrid have lost their chance for the league title after that loss in the El Clasico. Therefore their only goal in the league might be to finish the season at the second position at least.

This isn't a task that they would have huge problems on making it happen. Because Atletico Madrid are the only team that can fight for the same goal now but their job is much more difficult. Because they have improved their form a lot while Real Madrid are losing points. But I assume Real Madrid wouldn't let them pass anyway. They are still much more powerful team than Atletico Madrid in the end. They should be able to pull themselves together. The game against Valladolid is a good chance to do so.

Some time ago I saw this news and it was reported that the conflict over Gavi's contract issue is now heating up again which in the end is currently La Liga dropping Gavi's name from the Barcelona squad for a midfielder.  Xavi is really good in what he's doing at the moment and I praise his work, after Barca went through those lack of form losing games week in week out problems of players not in good shape, hell yeah Xavi came and changed the Barcelona team and the way they're going I believe it will take them to those glorious days. I never see Messi coming back but if that happens then it will be another boost for the team, the question now will be, can Barcelona be the Barcelona of the days of Messi, Xavi  and the others in there playing days? Barcelona needs to maintain its quality to win La Liga, a 12 point advantage over Real Madrid makes Barcelona closer to the Trophy. Mathematically Real Madrid still has a chance to catch up with Barcelona because La Liga still has 12 matches remaining. But Real Madrid chances are very small due to Barcelona very consistent appearance. This time Barcelona is very lucky to be at its best momentum in the local competition, next season they must be able to meet the expectations of fans to win European competition.
