Unfortunately you are right, Barcelona still can't give Xavi a big salary, because their finances haven't improved yet. But Xavi isn't so greedy and he's a good guy yes. The number 7 jersey has always been iconic, and it's been previously worn by Cristiano Ronaldo. However, this is the first time I personally feel that Vini Jr deserves to wear it.  Jersey no 7 has its uniqueness and greatness. So, good luck to Vini Jr with his new jersey! I must say though, jersey no 7 too big for any player now. I have high hopes that Vinicius Jr will be able to continue Cristiano's legacy and make his own. Xavi started his impact very slow and steady in the Laliga. Last season he brough Barcelona all the way from 10th on the table to second place and this season he was able to win the Laliga title. The way he managed his team in the Laliga despite having more experienced coaches which were before him to contend with is a thing to recorn, I mean gapping Madrid with 10 points is something no one expected. I am pretty sure he is so much motivated for the European competition this sesson and with the two years experience in laliga he will make better impact this season.
