I think that Real Madrid needs desperately to find a key player like Mbappe which would give them that breath that much needed in midfield,Modric honestly is old now and cannot keep up at his age with such a high performing league,I think Real Madrid should do all that is in their possession to get a player like him to join them,it would make a big difference and overall his impact would be felt in both competitions.I am sure with a player like him Real Madrid would be fighting for the La Liga title much better against Barcelona and also his presence in Champions League would probably make them to not suffer devastating lost games like the one against Manchester City this season.

Carlos Ancellotti also has a weak link which is the right full back position. Dani Cavajal needs a younger player competing with him for that position.

I don't think you guys have thought this through. Mbappe is a great player no doubt. Among the top three best players in the world right now, but have you thought about where he would play if he signs fr Madrid? Mbappe is primarily a left winger, but Madrid have Vinicius in that position. Mbappe can also play as a center forward, but Madrid are looking for a national center forward, does that mean Mbappe would play the right wing? The Mbappe signing will only work if Mbappe is signed as a center forward which isn't his preferred position.
Also Madrid should better know they don't have a great midfield. Bellingham, Vinicius, Velverde is not a great midfield. Modric is still good but he's getting old and won't be strong enough to control a whole midfield for 90 minutes.
So don't get too excited because Madrid have not really done well so far.

Vini is an excellent player. If he can maintain his fitness, he will become Real Madrid's main striker in the future. But Vini needs to be calmer and more modest. Vinny is a bit fierce. That's a good description you made here and this also shows why Manchester City is so superior right now. They have Haaland and as you said a team tries to play for their strongest player, but Manchester City is so evenly strong throughout the whole squad that they don't have to solely play for Haaland to be successful. They have lots of payers who can decide a game and that makes them hard to stop these days. Haaland, unlike Ronaldo, is also a team player and he loves both roles. The striker who scores 5 goals in one game, but he also likes to tie opponent players to him and give more room to his team mates and help them score.

Real Madrid is now trying to find someone who is more similar to Benzema and Ronaldo. A real striker with a goal guarantee. But it is no secret that they are hard to be found and even Mbappe is probably not a player who scores far in excess of 30 goals per season. Messi has left PSG. PSG management is rumoured to be interested in selling Neymar as well. And so the PSG management will not be interested in leaving Mbappe in the next season. PSG's performance would suffer badly if the three main attacking players were left out. However, since Mbappe did not renew his contract with PSG, PSG will have to find a replacement for Mbappe. Yes, Vinicius Junior is not fully reliable to replace the role of Benzema. Vini's position and play style are different and he is more comfortable playing as a wing attacker. Real Madrid still have to find a single sticker. Harry Kane, Firmino, Havertz and Osimhen are suitable substitutes to fill the position left by Benzema. But so far there has been no issue from El Real about who will be their hunting target. I think Ancelotti must immediately get a sticker without having to wait until the transfer window closure time.
