Sure, no one expects Girona to join the race for the title. There is no in history this team ever win La Liga title. They also have average players and they are managed by an unpopular coach. So, we can understand if people don't expect any thing from this team. When they can be in the top of La Liga, it makes sense if people assume it is caused by luck factor. However, we as football lovers know that winning 11 matches, 1 draw, 1 lose only can't be categorized as lucky. Girona must have something to achieve it in the top league like La Liga. Girona has a quality squad although there are no very popular names.

Well, for the next matches, it will be very challenging for Girona because they will play against some strong teams. They will have schedules against Athletic Club, Valencia, Barcelona, Real Betis, Atletico Madrid. If Girona still can survive at the top of the table after these matches, I can feel confident that they deserve to be the candidate of the winner. 

The possibility of losing is very small because currently Girona is at the top of the standings, meaning the players will definitely continue to try their best to maintain their position and get a win. Even though there is only a difference of one goal, that means a lot for Girona. League this season and shows that their strength should not be underestimated; this is like what happened to Napoli last season, who were enthusiastic about winning.

The biggest advantage that Girona has is that they have less pressure than the other teams competing for the La Liga title. In regards to the squad and how Girona is able to get away with injuries and other problems, I can't really judge that as I don't know that club very well, but I suppose that Girona would have more problems dealing with injuries than Real Madrid or Barcelona. Though it makes more fun to see that finally there is one club who was not expected to send their greetings to the rest of the league from the top after 13 games have been played. The next two games are against Bilbao and Valencia and if they play as strong as they did before the break, this will be the next six points to their books.

It just has been 13 matches and there are still lot of matches to determine the top 4 and seriously lot of things can change in remaining games. They have less pressure because they have less expectations but eitherway they are really doing a great job and even if something happens I think they should be able to manage to make it to top 10 by the season end and in my opinion that will be an objective achieved for the season. Being top 4 is also good but that will elevate the fans expectations and that can be good and bad as well later on.

It would be ridiculous if their goal would still be top ten at this point as they are 16 points ahead of Rayo Vallecano who are 10th in the table. It is realistic for them to aim at top seven or maybe top six. They are no weaker than teams like Valencia or Betis, who have been out of shape for a while anyway. If a team leads the table like that after 13 games, I don't think they are still talking about getting away from the relegation zone. Exactly seeing them on the first position makes the game even more tougher because other big team will see it as a challenge to them so they will make sure they improve in performance in other to push Girona down from the table because that's what I'm seeing real Madrid will surely do because they are in a very good form this season.

In the past few seasons, I have seen some underdog teams perform well in the first half of the season only for them to start slumping towards the business end of the season. I still feel the same thing might happen to Girona, but we will wait till the end to see.

They will not arise from their sleep in my own opinion, Raphael Benitez is far from his best and he should take some time off coaching if not completely. They're not doing well in the last seven if not six fixtures in La Liga have all been poor results.

Im concerning the consistency of girona. It will be so good if girona will be as good as leicester city at that time. No doubt that michel has been transforming the club into the new level. The main difficulty to manage a club with average performance like girona.

It seems foolish to me to rely on luck in football. Where the players work hard and spend most of the time before the match practicing and trying to master new skills, anyone who says football is all about luck is living in a fool's kingdom. It was unexpected. After I found out that Girona in the previous season only finished in 10th place and even 3 seasons before that Girona did not enter LaLiga, but now they are at the top with 1x defeat and 1x draw.

It's natural that losing to Real Madrid they won't be strong against that team, but so far when competing with other teams they can still win.
This week against Bilbao will certainly be interesting because Bilbao are now in 5th place and they are a strong team maybe I would say on par with Girona's current form, but Girona look set to win at home.

So for now Girona is still worth betting on.

Jude is not back just yet, he may miss one or two more games but then he will be back, it is not like a full season ending type of injury, it's just maximum two more games and then he will be back. I think it is quite important for them to have him back, because he has played like the best player they had on that team for a while, like first 7-8 games he was looking like the best player on that team and scored like he was the best scorer while being just a midfielder.

I think it is quite good to see that, it is not going to be all that shocking and we should be considering the situation quite good. I believe that we are going to see them do fine, and that will definitely end up helping them out on the long run when he comes back too. They still do have other great players, so when he is missing they shouldn't be losing games, it is not like he is their only good player, they are Real Madrid, they should be able to get wins no matter what happens.
