Yeah Barcelona needs 5 points to replace Girona at the top of the standings while Girona is still continuing the positive trend with 5 consecutive wins so at least for this month Girona will still be safe in 1st place, Barcelona has a chance to get closer when they play against Girona next December. On paper Barcelona should be able to win and stop Girona from getting points. I think Barcelona will not waste this opportunity especially since they are playing at home, if Barcelona fails, it means their chances of getting closer will be even smaller.

To be honest, I didn't expect Girona to stay at the top of the standings because the team was not one of the great teams in La Liga before but the fact is that without star players Girona is still strong and consistent and they are even the team with the most goals scored so far, lol really unexpected. Let's see how far they can control the top of the standings while strong teams are waiting for them ahead.

When considering the possibility of Girona winning the LaLiga trophy, I would hardly say it as a slim chance considering the historyof teams winning the trophy. Girona needs to beat strong opponents such as Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, and Barcelona. It's also important to note that the championship is only in the 13th round now with many matches still ahead. Girona faces a challenging journey to maintain their top position in LaLiga knwoing the strong competition from teams participating in both the UCL and the LaLiga trophy.

But, we can't deny that Girona has a formidable team this season, performing well againstmany teams and breaking their records. It serves as a big surprise for me this season. I wish also to see them in UCL next season.

I do support this decision. Real madrid needs to find ancellotti's successor after ancellotti has agreed to join in the brazil national team. Xabi is the best once who can be lined up along with zidane which was giving back to back UCL champion three times in a row.

Sure. Real Madrid must find out a proper coach to replace the position of Ancelotti because Ancelotti seems to leave Real Madrid next year. I think Zidane is still the best candidate although we don't know how possible call him again to manage Real Madrid. Xabi Alonso is a good coach but I think his level isn't the same as Zidane's level. Xabi Alonso is still in a process to show his quality as a coach. Meanwhile Zidane already proved several time about his quality with some prestigious trophies. It is true that Xabi Alonso ever won the UCL trophy, but he was a player of Real Madrid. Xabi Alonso never won UCL trophy as a coach, right?

Alonso is going to give his best for the team now and I think that it could be possible Real Madrid is trying to get him for the next season. But Alonso has all the time he wants, he is still very young as a coach and if he now builds a great team in the Bundesliga, maybe he wants to stay with them for another season and keep the option to go to Real Madrid one day in the back of his head. There is really no need for him to rush anything.

Any coach would be very happy to coach Real Madrid if an offer came to them, including Xabi Alonso. But I agree with you on this matter, it is very likely that Xabi will only be ready after achieving success with Laverkusen first. Considering that this achievement will be proof of his quality when one day he coaches Madrid, we know that controlling Madrid dressing room is not an easy thing to do.

Maybe Madrid management has already pocketed several names to replace Ancelotti in the future, including Xabi. However, I think Zidane also has the potential to return, but there is no certainty yet, we can only wait and see the contract renewal for young Madrid players first.

Barceare doing the best they can to go up of the table in La liga. As the defending club who won the title last year there was no big changes and upgrades on the club due to financial problems and difficulties. With the return back from duties of the various countries they will prepare well to control and press hard on the two clubs ahead for now.
Real Madrid is not a club that works around a player if it was that way they should have seen difficulties in winning and scoring in games valencia in la liga and champions league   Jude Bellingham and his impacts has been felt if injured,  the team.has players capable scoring in his absence.

There are too many news about Xabi Alonso. But I doubt if Xabi Alonso will leave his current club before the end of this season. I think Xabi Alonso will obey his contract with his current club, he wants to give a trophy for the team as well. It is important to prove his quality with a trophy, so he needs to finish this season with a trophy. Next season, maybe he will consider to move to another team if we has another plan. Well, Real Madrid can be one of his plans for the season. But we surely don't know about his plan, right? 

I do not believe that Xabi will let Leverkusen down. Leverkusen reached a very different level with him. They are currently one of the feared teams in the Bundesliga and, along with Borussia Dortmund, they are seen as one of the two teams that can stop Bayern. Real Madrid may be interested in Xabi, but if a step is to be taken in this regard, I think it will be at the end of this year.

I think you have a point mate Barcelona has not had convincing game recently, a big team should not be living on the edge everytime they play, yes it's a unique way of life for big teams to be able to turn a game around when ever they go down but I believe another quality of a big team is when they play matches in a convincing manner and Barcelona recent form is far from convincing I am of the stands that Xavi Hernandez needs to go.

A lot is expected to happen at Real Madrid innthe next transfer window, most especially in searching and having a possible fit to fill in the gap that has left the club to be at a disadvantage since the last couple of seasons, and if the club can sort that out in terms of players signing and even the coach then it will be a good starting point for the club for possible recovery from what Benzema departure from Real Madrid has caused.


Real Madrid is not under pressure on a new coach contract but in terms of players, there is an urgent need for that new addition to the club in other to change and improve the chances of recovery as I said earlier.

Although I'm not disputing the fact that Barcelona is not playing very well now but what I'm saying is that there performance is a bit poor now than before, because if it was before they would have been leading on there league table instead of Girona.

Yeah obviously If Barcelona had already put a little more emphasis on improving all this, they would probably be at the top of the league table, which is now held by Girona. But in my opinion, the main reason for Barcelona not performing, due to which the team performance has decreased, is injuries. Due to the same injuries, the crucial players of Barcelona did not play the match, due to which Barcelona also lost El Clasico and showed poor performances in other matches.
In my opinion, many players at Barcelona did not play due to injury, but even after recovering, there was no significant change in terms of team performance. But since Frenki De Jong has been injured, Barcelona has not won a match by a big margin. He has really become the backbone of the team; without him, the team is weak.

La Liga is no longer for just 2 teams alone as of then, we now have teams that are competing to be at the top, being superior over all other teams is what being at the top is all about. At this point we have seen something different happening in the Spanish league that is no long Barcelona and Real Madrid that are fighting to be at the top or to be the best or to be crowned champions, we have Atletico Madrid and Girona on the mix.
I like the way Atletico Madrid and Girona are fighting to be at the top of the table, it gives Barcelona and Madrid that tension each time they play, they (Barcelona and Real Madrid) just have to be careful and aware that any game they lose it will cost them their position on the table.
To me this season is going to be a very tough one for Madrid and Barcelona, I don't see them as much threat especially Real Madrid. I wish it would be either Atletico Madrid or Girona that would be crowned champions of la Liga this season, if I'm to choose I'd go for the newly informed team Girona.

His coaching abilities have been tested and recognized worldwide, but Zidane has not coached any other club apart from Real Madrid so far. Zidane is far more likely to become Real Madrid coach next season if Ancelotti drops the suitcase to become Brazil coach.

When Zidane got his first chance at Real Madrid, he wasn't really an experienced coach. It was his whole reputation that made the bosses decide to bring him up as the coach. Alonso would be a great fit if he can prove his abilities in the Bundesliga now with a club like Bayer Leverkusen, I also think he would be destined to do well with Real Madrid. He has the right character and I think he would be well respected by the players. It was the same with Zidane because he wasn't really a world class coach back then, but he was talented enough to make the team follow him and his ideas and to give the whole club the feeling of being special.

Especially Girona they are at the top of the table. 2 points ahead of Real Madrid and 4 points ahead of Barcelona in the rankings. Yes, that's what I said. When Barca became champions last season, they won many matches by a single goal. They are having trouble scoring goals this season too. Lately, Barca hasn't been able to score 4-5 goals and break the opponent's guard like they used to do. In fact, if they could do this, the matches would be much easier. As long as the match is tied or Barca is ahead by a single goal, the opponent becomes more resilient and think they can get points from the match.
The number one way to solve this problem is for Lewandowski to score goals and for both wingers and midfielders to score and contribute. In fact, defensive players should also step forward and look for goals during standing balls. Otherwise, even if Barca plays an attractive game, it has no value if there is no finishing in the end.
Considering the number of matches they played, you naturally expect Felix and Raphinha to score more goals. Even though Lamine Yamal played very well, he couldn't contribute enough to the score, but I keep him separate, he is only 16 years old. What I mean is that the whole burden of scoring shouldn't fall on Lewa. Another striker is a must for Barca, maybe they will buy someone good during the transfer window.
