But still, it was a very impressive performance. I did expect Real Madrid to win in this match but I didn’t think they were going to score so many goals. Especially when they do not have a really good quality striker in the squad. But Real Madrid obviously proved me wrong. The next match of Real Madrid is also going to be very easy.

Actually looking at the current situation saying Madrid does not have a quality striker in my opinion it has been broken by the appearance of some of their young players who are very good this season. They do not have CF now or a player who is typical as a pure striker like Lewandowski at Barcelona after losing Benzema but even so they are still playing very well and their goal productivity is still very good even this week they slaughtered Valencia with a fairly heavy score. And even for now statistically Madrid are one of the 3 clubs (Girona, Barcelona and Madrid) who have scored the most goals and the club that conceded the least balls until week 13 so if you see from this it would indeed be great if Madrid found a pure striker but even if there is no I think with their current performance they will also still be very good and still be able to compete especially their young players are starting to regain the rhythm of the game.

The fact that Barcelona played all first half trying to find the net and did not find it speaks volumes about the team inconsistency.As you say against small teams it may work well the come back like in the case of Alaves where in the second half they turned things around,I doubt you can do it against Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid to name a few teams of the top flight.

It is a bit questionable why Barcelona is so weak when facing small teams and I think the depth of their squad should be able to tell us that they can always guarantee a definite victory in every match. The style of play usually called XaviBall is also not that effective because it is just a game of maintaining ball possession but with minimal opportunities. I know the philosophy of every Barcelona coach requires a beautiful playing style, but can that make them feel safe when they can't score? Maybe as effective as the strategy that Xavi develops sometimes is when dealing with the results the team needs, of course he should be able to prioritize this rather than just prioritizing a beautiful game with low passes.

If Ancelotti intends to achieve success in the Champions League then they must look for a single striker who has the qualities of the previous striker. Having full expectations on the strikers they currently have will have a big impact on the results when they face a much more balanced team in the Champions League. Girona are still maintaining their lead. They got another win this time against Vallecano away. Technically they did what Real Madrid couldn't against Vallecano.    It is such an insane form by them so far like I said before as well. They have games against Barcelona and Atletico Madrid later on too so I'm curious about whether we would see a similar scenario to their Real Madrid game before.

Because they didn't look strong in a really tough game. But even if they lose against them both as well they would still be doing a great job in the La Liga with this amazing form for sure. There is a really huge difference between this and previous season and I'm curious about how they managed to make such progress.

Real Madrid failed to win Rayo Vallecano. Not that alone, Real Madrid failed to score against Rayo Vallecano. Girona did by scoring in both halves of the game. In the last five matches they've played, they've accumulated good points amongst underdogs like them and that's a good way to leave for the International games.

Now that's the main test, they could go down below to fourth position, if they loss both, I'd like them to draw both and not lose, they way they will keep a good head. But, I'll be super shockey to see them beating em both. They failed the test against Real Madrid, lest see if they would against the reigning Champions of La Liga and Diego Simeone's side.
I want them to at least qualify for one of the European Competitions next season, they deserve it.

Who knows, Girona might even make it to the Champions League like this by at least finishing at the fourth position. The momentum they have gained so far is such a big one that no team except Real Madrid have been able to stop them. I really like it when I see this kind of teams rising in big leagues at least for one season.

There is a Malaga example in the 2012/2013 season if you remember. They had a great season in the La Liga first and qualified for the Champions League. They even reached the quarter-finals and barely got eliminated by Dortmund.

I do support this decision. Real madrid needs to find ancellotti's successor after ancellotti has agreed to join in the brazil national team. Xabi is the best once who can be lined up along with zidane which was giving back to back UCL champion three times in a row.
15 - 18 millions are easy for madrid. The only problem is whether xabi will agree with such offer as he is still having long term contract in leverkusen. Madrid needs to pay a lot to the leverkusen to get him.

Not only did Benzema's departure from Real Madrid make the fans worried,  but also the club's performance has been greatly affected negatively this is what is at hand right now and the main reasons why Real Madrid has been underperforming lately since it went to another club,  first I don't see that,  Real Madrid made any possible replacement plans before signing the player off the club,  and also I see that they have not made any possible strong hand replacement to that gap created also,  and this have become the basis for Real Madrid underperformance in this season and even in the last season.

Well too we may also have to look at some other factors that may have possibly contributed to their underperformance and the benzema negative effects on the club for this season which is the lack of readiness of the club management to properly manage themselves through using the available lesser players to cover up for the time.
