Currently Sevilla's performance is unpredictable because they can immediately play very well and shoot up at least to secure their position in the middle standings like last season so even though now they are still playing not too well but saying for sure they will go down the caste and leave La Liga I think this is still too hasty because after all their focus is currently only La Liga and we know their characteristics when only focusing on 1 competition.

There is still half the season and I am quite optimistic for Sevilla they will crawl up from their current position. Sevilla is a big force in La Liga and even though they are currently in a place where they shouldn't be, that can still be resolved well in the future. They just need to avoid the relegation zone and must regain their confidence to win. Improving the squad is the main focus that they must complete because the current squad is still deemed incapable of stabilizing results. Management needs to take action and not be too late so that it is difficult to catch up with other teams who are above them.

You had good scouting team but you have no money to recruit the players then what's difference? You can argue barcelona has best scouting team but what about its financial. Can barcelona sign the new players without even raise some money to pay its debt first?
The club needs to put more focus onto how to solve the financial issue that is still happening in barcelona. Xavi needs to sell a lot of players and this needs to be executed as soon as possible.

Im not hoping a lot with this team caused by barcelona was always facing financial trouble like consistently got lost rather than profit from selling the players. Barcelona was also rarely getting surplus on its balance sheet.

To be honest when it comes to Barcelona's current scout I think the purchase of Gundogan is just one success out of many failures they have made in player transfers.

No disrespect intended but we also seem to be aware that Barcelona's player purchases in recent seasons have been more flops than successes.
It may be true that when talking about Gundogan, Lewandowski and loans like Cancelo and Felix it is very good but in the end we also cannot forget some players who were even brought in very expensive like Griezmann, Dembele or further to Coutinho actually it cannot be compared and proves that the scout from Barceloan is still a lot of negative sides than the positive.

Las Palmas' quality of play was very good and they led 1-0 in the first half of the game but Barcelona went into the second half with the score level at 1-1. The Girona squad is doing great and currently in good form. Also, Real Madrid is strong in the Laliga this season. Real Madrid is topping the standings with 48 points, the same as Girona, although they share the same point, which means everyone of them is looking for the same thing to go. This made me believe that there is no conclusion yet. Until one of these team succeed.

You conclude that, from what you have seen, Girona will be the winner of the league. How sure are you? Don’t forget that these four teams you mention are very strong, and with all indications, they both suffer to win each other anytime they play a match. Don’t you think anything can happen? Ilkay Gundogan without doubt is a great player who on many occasions has provided the moments that changed the whole atmosphere of games he's involved in and last night's stoppage time goal to deny Las Palmas a point in their own home ground while handing his Barcelona side the all three points of the game has once again proven how good of a player the former German international is and can be.

At halftime, Las Palmas were still leading in the game and looked like a team who would fight to finish to grab all three points from the game but Ferran Torres scored in the 55th minute to give Barcelona a chance before Gundogan scored in the  dying minutes to complete the come back. The result did not surprise me. Athletic club is a team which is in the 5th position and doing very well constantly. Sevilla on the other hand, I don't know what happened to them. They can't seem to be doing anything at all. They are right around the relegation zone with 16 points. Who knows they might even get relegated this season. Who would say that they were the team who were in the top 4 just 2 seasons back? Last season they performed poorly as well and this season it is even worse.

But credits should be given where it is due. Athletic Club are now in the 4th position because Atletico Madrid lost that match against Girona. Athletic Club may even catch Barcelona if they can keep up since Barcelona is struggling.

Athletic club is a very strong and most importantly stable team, but unfortunately they always lack a few points to be in the top three teams in the league. Usually Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid share the places, but Athletic club are really good, because in addition to high places in the championship, they also play well in the European cups and all this without big sponsors and high-profile transfers.

I feel sorry for Sevilla, they used to be a very original and interesting club, which when it was coached by Emery won the europa league and always played at a good level. Perhaps there was a change of management or they did not guess with the coach, because the results of Sevilla are terrible.

I placed a bet in support of Barcelona team in today's match. I won the bet in today's match because Barcelona team played very well. Barcelona were very lucky in this match, as they were awarded a late penalty which saved them from an unsatisfactory draw. They've been going downhill lately, Xavi hernandez needs to find a solution to get them back on track sooner rather than later. Time is running out and if they can't improve their perfrmance then they won't be able to catch the 2 clubs that are above them by 7 points.

Yesterday, Las Palmas were the best team of only the first half of their Spanish La Liga game against Barcelona but couldn't reciprocate their first half performance in the second half of the game and that's why they lost a game they were leading in the first half.
Barcelona were the better side in the second half of the Spanish La Liga game at Las Palmas and should've even win the game with a better scoreline but relied on Ilkay Gundogan's stoppage time goal to claim all three points from the game.

But for the fact that,  it is not only Sevila that is battling to escape relegation in the next round,  other clubs that are of the same category and performance with them that have same problem of none performance in that last couple of matches in this round of the league,  such as Cadiz and Almara who will likely face sevila in the next round,  this clubs could pause a threat to Sevila success in this season and how possible for them to escape relegation.

I also don't think so. Sevilla are big sides, I watched the game against Atletico Madrid and they played better than they've done in all of the entire season just in that game, with the transfer window open they can make additional players who can help the squad mentally and physically in the remaining half of the season. They don't have to be relegated this way.

For Barcelona last night, good to see they finally won, at least it's a good way to see them start the year with a late winner from Ilkay Gundogan from the spot kick.

Xavi Hernandez will not be sacked afterall, Barcelona was lucky enough not to end the game in a draw tie, alot of mistakes was done on Barcelona side, but any how they manage to win the match. However, Las Palmas was the team that messed up big time, a match they were leading with 1-0 have suddenly changed to a draw tie and also they couldn't hold on much longer because Barcelona keep pressing and another goal was netted injury time after Las Palmas player was issued a red card, that weakened the entire squad that was planning for atleast draw tie.

Barcelona have not been performing well lately and it is really down to what Xavi impacts on the boys and if the performance is bad the club have every right to sack him and look for better alternatives. Their performance have been poor and even in the match Las Palmas were more threatening and had more chances to bury the match but they couldn’t and they got punished for that and the red card made it worse for them, the pushing was very unnecessary because the match was almost finished. Good result for Barcelona even with bad performance all that matters was securing maximum points.

Barcelona doesn’t look like they used to, they are slowly becoming a mid team and if they don’t take things seriously they may find it difficult to make it to the Champions League.

Yes, it's true that Barcelona isn't like it used to be, which had a very strong performance dominating LaLiga, but doesn't Barcelona actually just need big investors to fund the club?
I never blamed or thought that this was all Xavi fault, but look at how great Xavi is as a coach for a club that has financial problems, whereas last season it was able to win the LaLiga title with only the existing players and at the start of this season Xavi also made the best contribution to maintain his position at first position in the points table and finally experienced a decline in performance and became 3rd position.
If Barca management thinks that if Xavi fails to win the LaLiga title he will have to be fired, that is a very big mistake and I am willing to bet that Barca will not be able to get a coach whose intelligence is equal to Xavi with only free players from the transfer market still remaining in 3rd place.
We have to know that all of this is a decline in the physical quality of the players and compare the performance of Barca attack line at the start of the season which was very strong and is currently experiencing a decline due to perhaps fatigue from competing in the Champions League and LaLiga.
This not an easy task for a coach and I am sure no one will be able to be like Xavi.

Personally, I think Sevilla will not be relegated, even though we already know the detailed statistics and reputation of their performance in the first half of the season. If Ramos and colleagues can target points from just average clubs, then they can stay in La Liga next season, in my opinion that is the easiest scenario for Sevilla.

However, we know that it is not an easy thing, because Cadiz, Granada and Almeria also want to escape the relegation zone. The financial factor of the club being in debt is the cause of Sevilla current decline in performance, so they are having difficulty building a squad and even had to be willing to let go of several key players last summer.

Relegation is steering at Sevila in the face and it will take almost a miracle to safe them this time,  and I agree with the fact that if their are able to accumulate high points in the second round,  it may likely be possible for Sevila to stay off relegation again in this season just like their did escape in the last season.

But for the fact that,  it is not only Sevila that is battling to escape relegation in the next round,  other clubs that are of the same category and performance with them that have same problem of none performance in that last couple of matches in this round of the league,  such as Cadiz and Almara who will likely face sevila in the next round,  this clubs could pause a threat to Sevila success in this season and how possible for them to escape relegation.

Sevilla is literally playing with fire and I think this time they could burn themselves big time if they don't improve everything from their defense to their offense.

Granada and Celta Vigo both won their games and closed the gap and now it is only 1 point away from the relegation zone. But over the coming weeks they will face relatively good opponents and it wouldn't surprise me if we soon see them sitting on a relegation position.

The fans are also turning against them, which means everything is set up quite well for the catastrophe to enfold.
