It doesn't look like Sevilla has any hope of surviving in La Liga and they are now increasingly miserable because they sit in a position close to relegation. Several years ago they were a strong team in La Liga but for some reason they fell so deeply recently that they were unable to compete with even weak teams. Sevilla have won just 3 of 19 matches this season. The main  reason for Sevilla's defeat was their  poor defence. I think Sevilla's performances will be strong and regular if the  defense is a bit stronger.

Sevilla are big sides, I watched the game against Atletico Madrid and they played better than they've done in all of the entire season just in that game, with the transfer window open they can make additional players who can help the squad mentally and physically in the remaining half of the season. They don't have to be relegated this way.

For Barcelona last night, good to see they finally won, at least it's a good way to see them start the year with a late winner from Ilkay Gundogan from the spot kick.

Xavi Hernandez will not be sacked afterall, Barcelona was lucky enough not to end the game in a draw tie, alot of mistakes was done on Barcelona side, but any how they manage to win the match. Good result for Barcelona even with bad performance all that matters was securing maximum points.

Barcelona doesn’t look like they used to, they are slowly becoming a mid team and if they don’t take things seriously they may find it difficult to make it to the Champions League.

Yes, it's true that Barcelona isn't like it used to be, which had a very strong performance dominating LaLiga, but doesn't Barcelona actually just need big investors to fund the club?

If someone asked me whether I do believe that they will be relegated and I had to make a choice between yes or no, I would say they won't get relegated. But as I said the upcoming games are all not easy and if they lose another three or four games or so out of the next five matches, it could be quite dark for them temporarily.

I don't think Granada or Almeria could endanger Sevilla, but Cadiz had a downtrend and if they can change that or Celta Vigo is also not to be underestimated, Sevilla could get into a dangerous situation that they definitely don't want to be in. If we talk about the quality and strength of Barcelona this season, it seems like Xavi and his team are having difficulty retaining the La Liga trophy. They indeed are going downhill. When Messi left, they turned into an ordinary team. They could win La Liga only once. With Messi, the la liga championship came automatically, the main goal was the champions league. In 2019, Messi almost won the champions league by himself. After that, Barcelona is at most a team of the calibre of Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad. In the short term, if they don't buy 2-3 guys who make a difference and take the team up a level, their rivals will be R. Sociedad - A. Bilboa - A Madrid instead of R Madrid. They should never, never buy unstable guys like Raphinha, Ferran Torres.

I believe that having financial trouble is not the same as having debt. The problem is that they do have money, but they are not legally allowed to use it, why? Because that would mean that they are not paying their debt with that money. They actually do not feel broke, or not like they have nothing, in fact, most clubs in the world run on future income and just take debts for today, for growth purposes, when you know a team is about to get 1 billion dollars in income for the next 5 years, every bank would feel fine about giving them a 100 million loan.

However, their problems is that financial fair play means they can't, not without selling some players, which causes them to be doing terrible and usually that is their biggest problem.

It's terrible stats from sevilla. The club was owning the ball even often than bilbao but it's only making two goal attempts. It seems sevilla will be trapping at the current position for years. The club needs to rebuild its financial first after it was paying a huge debt.

Im putting all of my respects toward mendilibar since he was able helping sevilla to get the europa league this season. I believe that if sevilla would not get it without him but the management was sacking him too early without even gave him the second chance to play. Im not even satisfied with the stats owned by sevilla and it must admit that if bilbao is far stronger than sevilla. The nuance is sevilla likes a mediocre team this time. im not mocking sevilla but just said bsaed on what i have seen from the result of previous matches. Sevilla is shit now and it has no chance anymore to get back to the what it used to be.

It takes years for sevilla to rebuild the club to be the same like before sevilla was putting all of its key players for sale. Glad to see bilbao has managed to get three points from its opponent.
The club is not wasting opportunity to score two goals against sevilla even though there were many chances were missed.

Sevilla this season have not lived up to expectation. They're more less far behind their usual range in seasons before. Then, they've even been opportune to stay in the UEL and even lift the trophy but currently, they're at a point where relegation is possible for them which is very bad. Just using them as a case study as there are other teams like them in other leagues. Their performance just at the beginning of the second half of the season wasn't encouraging.

 The subsequent weeks are unpredictable and there'll be positive or negative impacts on the squad and performances of the team. Maybe the change would effect a positive impact or maybe not but we hope to see what these teams unfold in their second half of the season after the January transfer window. The league races would definitely take a different turn for most teams.

Sevilla is more in the safe zone right now and from the look of things Almara won't make it out from that zone considering their current standing and how things have gone in recent times, indeed Cediz will put up a good fight against Sevilla if ever the path crosses each other but even at that I am sure just as you have already said Sevilla will eventually escape relegation this season.

This is not the first time such a narrow escape has happened for the club and I am happy that at least we expect to see some positive development for the club after this season.

Bringing in Gundogan is great for Barcelona because at least they can make some difference in midfield and his ability has been tested so it's not wrong for Gundogan to be in Xavi's midfield at the moment but if you say the reason he can change at crucial times is actually a fifty-fifty despite the good performance he had before the penalty.

Gundogan is an experienced midfielder, he also has a big role to lead Man City winning treble winners in the last season. He was even a captain of Man City squad. So, Barcelona is lucky to sign him, Barcelona took one of the key players of Man City.
